After parting with Stella, I headed to Declan’s office.

“Your Majesty, the Savior has arrived.”

Once inside, Declan approached me quickly.

“Perhaps because we always go together, waiting isn’t easy.”

“I don’t think it took very long, did it?”

At my words, Declan raised the corners of his eyes sadly, so I opened my mouth again.

“Still, you’re happy that I came first?”

“It feels good just to see you came here like this.”

Replying so, he lightly kissed me on the lips.

“Did the talk end well?”

“Yes. Stella agreed.”

“Hmm, so it seems like you’ve been calling each other by name.”

After briefly telling the talk I had with Stella, he called Noah.

“There is something I really want to show you.”

As Noah dragged the cart in, the sweet scent tickled my nose. A few covered plates were placed on the table with tea.

“Good work.”

“Your Majesty, shouldn’t you explain?”

He gave a dismissal order with an impatient hand.

“I am also curious. How much I…”

“Noah.”

Noah flinched at his stern gaze.

Still, Noah, who couldn’t let go of his lingering feelings until the end, glanced at me and the plate alternately until he left his office.

‘Why is he doing that? Do you have something to say to me…?’

As I stared at the door Noah had left, Declan carefully grabbed my face and turned it to him.

“Where are you looking?”

“I was wondering why the chief attendant was being like that.”

When I pointed to the plate with the lid on, the green eyes showed little anticipation. I was shaking my head, wondering what was going on, but there was one thing that came to my mind.

“I asked the kitchen as soon as I arrived at the imperial palace.”

Declan looked at me and slowly opened the lid. On the plate was a fresh cream cake that was too pretty to eat.

“Wow…”

I was impressed with the appearance, which was more appetizing than expected.

“Didn’t you say you like whipped cream cakes?”

He showed the other plates with a proud face. Even though all were fresh cream cakes, the type of fruit on top was different.

“I was worried that the chance with even dessert would be taken away.”

“Thank you.”

He smiled contentedly as I kissed him on the cheek.

“It’s so pretty that I feel sorry to touch it.”

The cake was delicately decorated like a work of art.

“I made it for you to eat, so it’s okay if the shape is ruined.”

When he urged me to eat it quickly, I eventually picked up a fork and cut the strawberry cake into small pieces. At that moment, the light and savory taste wrapped around the tongue and melted in no time.

“…How is it?”

He waited for my answer with a mixture of tension and anticipation in his eyes.

“It’s really delicious! It’s the first time I’ve tried something this delicious.”

“Thank god. It suits your taste.”

I was happy to be able to eat my favorite cake again, but it was so delicious! As I thought so to myself, I put another piece of cake into my mouth and shuddered.

“I feel good because you like it.”

“Your Majesty, try it as well.”

When I handed out the grape cake, he took the fork from my hand.

“You should taste it first.”

Confused by his unexpected behavior, I just blinked my eyes.

“Here. Huh?”

“It’s okay. I can eat it.”

“When you were a doll, I wanted to feed you, but you couldn’t.”

I couldn’t stand it any longer after hearing his words and opened my mouth as he pleaded with the corners of his eyes drooping. As the soft cake was pushed in, I was taken aback and startled by the smooth feeling that brushed my lips.

“You got cream.”

When I stared blankly at the smiling figure with my eyes wide open, Declan came closer. I gently closed my eyes at the hot gaze I felt through my long eyelashes.

Kiss.

Perhaps because of the cake, our breath felt particularly sweet.

“Every day is new. It’s like being born again.”

Declan murmured softly and kissed my forehead. I hoped his weary life had become at least a little more comfortable because of me.

‘…I’ll make you happier in the future.’

He smiled broadly as I promised.

“Is there anything else you want to eat?”

“There are many… I want to eat sandwiches, steaks, and macarons.”

“Oh, those macarons.”

Declan laughed out loud as if he remembered that time.

“I think any food will be delicious with Your Majesty.”

“Where did you learn such pretty words?”

“Myself. Because I’m a pretty person.”

“I heard and saw it. There is no one as pretty as you.”

I said it as a joke, but it was embarrassing that he answered so seriously. As I buried my face in his arms to cover my reddened face, I heard a giggling sound.

“Oh, I want to move Stella’s quarters to another place by the end of today.”

“The sooner, the better. I’ll tell Noah.”

At that, he called Noah and ordered him to tidy up Stella’s room and move her luggage.

“How are the dynamics of Duke Otien and Princess Medicis?”

Getting up, Declan then took the papers from the desk.

“It’s a secret letter exchanged between the Duke and the Princess.”

“Hmm. It’s mainly about Your Majesty’s whereabouts. The Princess thinks that Your Majesty is under the enchantment spell.”

“I guess so. She doesn’t know about you.”

“Then, shall we deal with Princess Medisis first?”

Declan let out a smirk as I raised the corner of my mouth meanly.

“I’m in trouble.”

“Yes?”

“Your expression looks lovely, too.”

When I blushed in embarrassment, he embraced me.

“I just want to stay like this.”

His complaints made me laugh.

“You said you wanted to have a wedding soon. Do you think it will be difficult to stay like this?”

“I can’t.”

Even though he muttered as he complained, his eyes shining with enthusiasm.

“I heard that the Emperor has returned.”

“Yes. I heard it, too.”

Jennifer was sitting across from Caleb, her second brother.

“I’ll finally see that face… the one who neglected my beautiful sister.”

Caleb twisted his mouth. He resembled Jennifer the most among the siblings, so at first glance, they looked like twins.

“I’m really upset. I didn’t expect to be treated like this, no matter how small a country it is compared to an empire.”

Jennifer clung to Caleb’s arm, making a cry.

“A madman, how dare he neglect the Princess of Thierra.”

“In the end, it must be my fault. I’m sorry.”

Caleb stroked her hair as she deliberately gave her sullen expression.

“What are you talking about? He’s arrogant because he’s the Emperor.”

“Still, I got an expulsion order. This is Thierra’s shame… I really don’t have the face to see father and my older brothers.”

At her words, Caleb soothed her with a pitiful look as Jennifer let out a big sigh.

“How’s it your fault that the Emperor is not normal? I’ve never met a man who didn’t fall for you.”

“Thank you, brother. It made me feel a bit more at ease.”

Caleb put on a pleased look as she closed her eyes and smiled.

“Still, does it have to be the Emperor?”

He looked into Jennifer’s eyes and asked.

“Why do you ask that?”

“Because you are so upset. Aren’t there many good grooms in the Kingdom?”

“However, they aren’t as great as the Emperor.”

“There is no need to come all this far and be treated like that.”

“Brother will change your mind when you see the Emperor. I fell in love with him at first sight, how manly he is.”

Jennifer covered her flushed cheeks with both hands like a girl in love.

Seeing that, Caleb let out a small sigh.

“Now that the Emperor is back, he will definitely fall for me. So, brother, help me.”

Jennifer smiled sweetly and shook Caleb’s arm gently.

“What can I do?”

“Please, set up a place where I can meet the Emperor.”

“We’re almost finished talking about the agreement…”

When he put on a puzzled look, Jennifer interrupted.

“We haven’t had an official interview yet. It’s the Emperor’s fault, so he won’t be able to refuse the request.”

“Yes. It’s your request, so this older brother has to listen.”

“Thank you. You don’t know how reassuring it is for me because you came.”
