Daisy didn’t like Sienna’s provocation. It would have been annoying enough if she had spoken of it when they were alone, yet, she even dared to say it in the presence of others.

After becoming close with Logan, it seemed that she really didn’t care about other people’s gazes anymore.

Would they be able to remain friends were Logan to find out the truth about her? That Sienna had known about Logan’s identity from the very beginning?

Daisy firmly believed that Sienna had known of his identity ever since they were back in the Marquisate. And Logan needed to know this.

Even if she had to give up completely on the position of the future Duchess of Harrison, she would be more relieved if she could do that much.

As Daisy calmed her resentment, she turned to the other side, the seat next to lord Grint, whom she almost gave up due to his sudden engagement.

Though lord Grint had a fiancée, at least he didn’t hate Daisy like Logan did. Breaking an engagement wasn’t easy, but it was not forbidden either.

Previously, she had waited for the perfect timing to go after him, but it turned out to be a failure in the end since she caught sight of lord Grint’s secret love. Even now, she still wanted to approach him and express her feelings directly.

She had a little bit of conflict with duke Grint before, but she was aiming for his son, so things would somewhat be better than with Logan. It wasn’t long before Daisy and her brother visited a social gathering where Percy appeared occasionally.

“Look over there.”

“Isn’t that lady Moore?”

The meeting was held in a teahouse. When Daisy appeared with her brother, the eyes of all aristocratic men fell upon her, because she was the only woman there.

Daisy kept her bright smile as she glanced back at them.

“Lady Moore, what are you doing here?”

She had people come right up and ask all sorts of questions, but her gaze was fixed on one spot. Right across from where she was standing sat the young lord of Grint, playing chess with another man.

“Did lord Moore suggest you attend with him?”

“Seeing the young lady in a place like this…”

Even though he could hear all the noise, lord Grint was concentrating only on chess.

Daisy glanced at the young master of Grint and came back to grinning at the one in front of her.

“Nice to meet you, too.”

Even though Daisy kept talking to men apart from her brother, lord Grint did not seem particularly interested in her.

He was playing chess earlier, but this time he was playing a card game.

Is he really not interested in any woman except his fiancée?

Still, if she actively talked to him, as long as he’s a man with good eyes, he would be shaken soon enough.

Daisy kept on looking for an opportunity and she sneaked out after him when he went out alone.

“Lord Grint.”

As lord Grint headed toward the main street, he was seemingly going back home when Daisy called out to him. At that, he looked back.

“Lady Moore?”

“It seems a bit late for my greetings. I couldn’t talk to you because you looked so busy.”

Daisy put on a fine smile. When he looked at her suspiciously with brown eyes like the ones of lady Grint, Daisy spoke to him kindly.

“I guess you’re already going back.”

“Ah, yes.”

He looked at her with a somewhat puzzled look.

“It was a bit stuffy, so I came out for a while. I came to see how the men enjoyed the meeting, but I’m a little embarrassed…”

Daisy slurred and acted as if she had shrunk a little. She tried to imitate lady Coventry, who was shy in everything. She thought that if he found a similar side with his fiancée, he might be interested.

However, lord Grint only spoke with his characteristic blunt tone.

“People must be interested because you’re the only woman.”

“That must be the case…but I did not expect to get this much attention…”

Daisy lowered her chin slightly and looked up at him with doe eyes.

T/n: yuck ima throw up

“How great would it be if everyone else was like lord Grint? Then I would be able to talk comfortably like this.”

“Hmm.”

Lord Grint frowned and touched his chin.

“I’m not the type to hold a comfortable conversation.”

“Oh, is that so? I had no idea. It’s the first time I’ve had a conversation with the lord, and I’m not uncomfortable at all.”

Daisy was deliberately acting shy by covering her mouth, and lord Grint smiled at the sight.

She thought it would be easy to build a friendship if she came into contact with him a few more times like this. As long as they were able to build friendship first, it wouldn’t a problem after that.

Before long, Daisy shivered visibly and wrapped her arms around herself.

“Ah, it’s cold. It seems to be quite chilly these days…”

“That’s true. You should come back in quickly.”

He gestured inward with his chin. And that was not the reaction Daisy expected.

It was normal for a man with common sense to cover her with his coat or offer to go somewhere else to have warm tea.

But what is with this response?

Daisy was taken aback for a moment, but immediately made a pitiful expression.

“I’m sorry. I was stealing the lord’s time without even realising it. I must have been too excited since I was talking to lord Grint for the first time.”

Seeing that the corner of his mouth went up slightly, it didn’t seem like he was reluctant at all.

Then, I should use this to make a promise for next time.

And with that in mind, Daisy spoke carefully.

“Next time we meet, I want to have a longer conversation with you, milord. Just the two of us like this…”

She looked up at him expectantly. All men were trying to keep their conversation with her even just one more word longer. In this case, she had even said it so straightforwardly, how could he ever refuse?

However, the words that came from his mouth were completely opposite to what Daisy had expected.

“It would be difficult for the two of us.”

Upon saying that, he raised one hand. What appeared to be an engagement ring was lying neatly on his ring finger.

“Since I already have a fiancée. It’s cold, so go back inside.”

It wasn’t a worrying tone. If not, how could he talk so insincerely? He turned around and went on his way without a second thought.

As Daisy watched him walk out on her, she just scoffed out of frustration.

“Ha…!”

As long as lady Coventry was around, he was also a difficult target.

We arrived in Brew after several days of riding in a carriage.

It sure felt different the first time setting foot in another country. When I got off the carriage, admiration sunk in before exhaustion.

It was natural, because in front of my eyes was a scenery that could never be seen in the Beland Kingdom.

“Wow, the buildings are amazing!”

Nancy exclaimed as she got out of the carriage behind me with my share of luggage. Nancy, who was more excited than I was when I said I was going to another country, looked around eagerly with a lively face.

“It is really different from our kingdom.”

“I know. There are some similarities, but generally, they are very much different.”

The place we got off was a square located in the middle of Brew’s capital. Buildings with arched pillars stand in a row, and sculptures were densely erected on the roofs for decoration.

Looking closely, it is truly different in many details.

Before long, Logan approached me.

“It’s my first time in Brew, too. It is indeed amazing.”

“Your Grace is looking forward to it too, right?”

“Yes. First, let’s go to our accomodation. We still have some time left before we have to go to the ranch.”( where the apalcas were supposedly raised)

The day for us to go see the factory manager was the following day. He was a businessman who ran a ranch in the alpine region and produced alpaca yarn in a factory. Eighty percent of the alpaca yarn was under his control.

That was why we must make a pact with him, so as to create a monopoly.

“I’ve found a good restaurant.”

After unpacking, Logan led us to a local restaurant. Just as Logan suggested, the steak there tasted great.

“It’s tender and light. Brew’s beef is pretty good too.”

“Oh, that’s not beef.”

“Pardon? Then..?”

What I ate that day was alpaca meat.

Having tasted its meat without even knowing what it looked like, the next day, I was able to see the alpaca with my own eyes.

***

Although it was an alpine area, it was not difficult to ride a horse. As soon as we climbed to the top of the mountain where a large-scale alpaca ranch was located, I immediately burst into exclamations.

“They’re so cute!’

The alpaca I ate yesterday must have looked just like that, it was so cute that I felt extremely guilty. Some have white fur, some have brown fur. What they had in common was that they all look adorable. Not to mention they’re also very docile!

“Come here.”

Melted by their cuteness, I held out my hand, and an alpaca approached me almost at once. Its fur was fluffy and its ears were perked up…

“I want to bring one back with me and raise it.”

“Shall we set up an alpaca ranch in our kingdom?”

At my reaction, Logan calmly joked.

When he made a joke like that, I got confused about whether he really meant it. He was a duke with that kind of wealth after all. Before long, I replied with a smile.

“Not yet. We only need to bring back some thread to check the marketability.”

Though, I really want to take one with me.

I thought as I looked back at the alpaca turning away from me. But then, a middle-aged man’s voice came from behind us.

“Is this your first time seeing an alpaca?”

Turning around, I saw a man with dark skin, a unique trait of the Brew people. He gave us a welcoming smile.
