[How can you hear us?]

“Well, I don’t know. I just hear you.”

[I see… Then what’s your name?]

“Emeliette, call me Liel.”

[Yes. Liel, where are we now?]

Perhaps the tension has eased, the Merket, who regained its energy, could not control its overflowing curiosity and continued to ask questions.

[Even though she’s like that, she’s a high-ranking human being]

[Gasp. Really? That’s amazing.]

As Merket went from one to two, it became even more noisy. At this point, she thought she should give a name to the Merkets.

“Do you have any names?”

[No, we don’t have that]

[Give it to us! Our name!]

“Well,”

I can’t believe you left your name to me. It was a very difficult task.

“Well, then…”

One is talkative, and the other is quiet.

“Sudar and Johnny. What do you think?”

[Oh my god]

[Cool!]

They waved their buds side by side as if dancing.

I guess they liked their names so much.

“From now on, you are Sudar and you’re Johnny.”

[I am Sudar!]

[I’m Johnny! Hehe……….]

“I’m glad you like it.”

Now Sudar and Johnny were busy talking to each other.

Half of the conversations were just laughing at each other’s names.

If I only knew they would like it that much, I would have named them sooner.

knock, knock.

“Dinner is ready, Princess.”

“I’ll be back after dinner,”

Leaving the excited Sudar and Johnny behind, she went to the dining room where Cardin was.

“I guess you like that flower so much.”

“Well, they are cute.”

As soon as she entered the dining room, Cardin’s grumpy face greeted her.

“But Papa is my favorite.”

“……. “

Take it. My strike.

Cardin froze for a moment.

“Am I the best for Papa?”

“Just eat your meal,”

“Hmm,”

His face remained expressionless, but she could see that Cardin was very embarrassed by the way he picked up the tableware.

She decided to just quietly pretend she didn’t notice how he cut the meat with two forks.

“The way you control your mana has improved a lot.”

“Hehe, That’s right!”

She couldn’t hide her proud smile while looking at the wooden doll dancing in front of her.

She told Teacher Teto that she will work hard. And these are the results of her practice during her spare time.

She practiced so much to make it move so smoothly and flexibly.

Despite the ridicule of Cardin and the Merket, she didn’t give up.

A high level of concentration was needed to make the doll move. It will immediately penetrate the ceiling when the concentration is disrupted even a little.

Teacher Teto explained that it was because the amount of mana in her body was large.

It has the same principle as the moment a small hole was formed in a dam containing vast amounts of water, the water will leak through the hole with tremendous pressure.

“Now that you have learned most of the basic theories of mana, I think we can start practicing magic next time.”

“The real thing?”

“Yes. Like this.”

A group of lights poured out of Teacher Teto’s fingertips.

It was flying around her like a firefly.

She poked the group of lights that came near her with her hand but it flew away quickly to the opposite direction.

“I’ll teach you how to use real magic next time.”

“Yes, sir! I can’t wait to learn.”

“You have to practice controlling your mana until the next class, okay?”

“Well, of course, I’ll do my best.”

I am finally going to learn magic.

Mr. Teto smiled pleasantly at her.

After the lesson, She approached Elvin, who was waiting outside the door.

“Elvin!”

“I guess you’re done with your lesson. You look very happy.”

She wasn’t able to hide her joyful feelings.

She chatted with Elvin, who was now her exclusive escort, as they went to the carriage.

When she was excitedly bragging about the magic she was going to learn in the next class, she  suddenly stopped at the sound of someone calling her from behind.

“Hello. My name is Jenna, I am the Empress’ maid.”

As she turned her head, she saw a woman in a black turtleneck dress.

“I am honored to meet Princess Emeliette Bardion. Her Majesty wants to see Princess Bardion.”

‘Nine Mogris wants to meet me?’

“I’m sorry, but the Princess has a schedule to attend to.”

A huge shadow fell before her eyes.

Elvin stood in front of her and spoke in a determined voice, it was as cold as ice.

She couldn’t see Elvin’s face, but she thought his expression was as cold as ice.

“I know that after Princess Bardion’s training at the tower she will be heading to the duchy immediately.”

‘What? Have you been watching me?’

The empress’s maid, who knew her exact schedule, looked at her.

The moment their eyes met; the maid’s face turned into a caring sister.

“Her Majesty wants to speak with the Princess for a while and have some very delicious snacks.”

Jenna, the maid, spoke with a gentle voice and a smile.

Since the moment she saw her, she has been smiling softly, but she couldn’t shake off the uneasy feeling.

She looked like someone who was wearing a mask.

Why does the Empress, Nine Mogris, want to see me? One thing is certain: It’s because I am the daughter of Cardin.

As Cardin said, he knew how tenacious Nine Mogris is.

Therefore, it was clear that even if she refused to meet her now, they would still meet again someday.

‘But I don’t think it’s right to meet her without Cardin.’

Nine Mogris is a person who will never like me.

“I’m afraid…”

She was about to say no.

“You’ve got something on your skirt, Princess, I’ll take it off for you.”

Jenna suddenly approached her with an exaggerated gesture. Emilliette looked down at her skirt, but then she heard a calm voice near her ear.

“If you refuse Her Majesty’s orders, the Duke of Bardion will be in trouble. Why don’t you come with me?”

Unlike her careful touch on the hem of her skirt, her tone was hard as she threatened her.

‘As expected, you had a trick.’

She was deeply disgusted by Jenna, who dared to threaten her.

Did you think I’d be scared if you threatened me like that?

When she looked at Jenna, she could only laugh.

After much consideration, she decided to meet Mogris.

“Yes. Let’s go.”

“Princess!”

There was a different reaction from her answer.

“Thank you for your generosity, Princess.”

Jenna, the maid, bowed her head as if in a good mood and expressed her gratitude.

“What are we going to do with your schedule? It’s very important.”

As soon as her answer was heard. Elvin bent his knees and met me at eye level, showing off his flashy eyebrow waves, telling her about her schedule that doesn’t even exist.

‘I’m sorry, Elvin, I understand what you mean, but I have to see Nine Mogris today, so she won’t bother me again. I’m in the Imperial Palace anyway. What’s going to happen?’

“I’m fine, Elvin,”

She carefully placed her hand on Elvin’s still wriggling eyebrows.

Elvin’s face twitched a little, and met her smiling eyes for a moment.

‘Are you sure you’re alright? You can refuse okay!’

‘I’m really all right, Trust me!’

‘Well… Okay.’

It seems that they had this conversation with their eyes.

Elvin sighed softly and stood guard behind Emiliette again.

“Well, let’s go”

Jenna’s carriage was luxurious as if it had been thoroughly prepared.

It’s as if they knew I would not refuse to go.

‘You’re really tenacious, aren’t you?’

The fast-running carriage soon stopped at the entrance of a splendid rose garden.

“This way,”

Jenna, the maid, led her into the rose garden.

Walking a little along the rose vine, she saw a red-haired woman drinking tea at the tea table.

“Your Majesty, Princess Emiliette Bardion has arrived.”

snap

Nine Mogris slowly put the tea she was drinking on the table, she got up from her seat and turned her head toward Emiliette’s side.

She was wearing extravagant jewelry like when she came to Cardin’s office last time.

As she turned around, her jewels were fluttering together and the jewels reflected in the sun flashed, making it look as if Nine Mogris was illuminating.

“Oh…”

Even a good medicine can be poisonous if it’s too much.

The jewels hanging loosely naturally seemed heavy, and the jewels reflected in the light made her frown.

“Oh, my God. Today is a very special day, isn’t it? I can’t believe we have such a special guest.”

The voice of Nine Mogris echoed through the garden. Her cheerful voice proved how happy she is now.

“It’s a pleasure to meet you. Princess Bardion.”

“It’s an honor to meet you. Your Majesty.”

It was fortunate that she remembered the greeting she learned during the etiquette class.

With her right hand on her chest, she bowed her head to show her respect to the empress.

“The youngest child ever to be trained in a magic tower sure is different. I’m glad you don’t look like your mother.”

There were many thorns hidden in Mogris’s words referring to Reina in a relaxed tone.

“Thank you, Your Majesty, But I think I resemble my mother more than my father.”

She replied with an innocent smile. She didn’t forget to touch my hair on purpose.

“Well, I see, I guess the princess likes it because she takes after her mother.” said Mogris, raising one corner of her mouth. She could see a slight crack in her composure.

“Yes! My father likes it because I resemble my mother a lot. Because my father loves my mother the most in the world and for the rest of his life!”

Mogris was smiling but her curved eyes were filled with fire.
