I’m Too Strong To Be Immortal

(Ahem, this is not so much a reflection as it is my confession and personal reflection.)

The first time I wrote a novel, the first time I signed a contract, the first time it was published... there are so many firsts. I am very grateful. I am so lucky to have met so many readers and friends. Thank you all for your strong support along the way!

I started writing on May 6, 2021. In nearly a year and a half, many readers and friends have come, and some friends who hate iron and steel have left. I have kept many familiar names in my heart. I am really grateful. Everyone, thank you for every collection, every subscription, every ticket, and so many rewards! !

Special thanks to my three cute protagonists: Aviation Nuclear Fusion (this ID seems to have been canceled, but I still remember it), Xiaofeidu, and caivle. In the last two months, the updates have been really annoying. I'm sorry everyone, please forgive me, and I won't give you any excuses. The real reason is that my grades are too poor and I can't make any money. I put all my energy into work and life.

Because of my own reasons, I have chilled the readers who have always supported me. I am guilty!

Then there is the content of the novel. The first time I wrote a novel, it was still too immature, and the stall was too big. In the later stage, I was unable to continue. Originally, when I signed the contract at the beginning, I signed a contract with two million words, and then the world view was written It was so big that it would have required more than three million words to be written normally. Unfortunately, due to various reasons, most of the subsequent content was streamlined. After the castration, only 2.57 million words were written.

In fact, most of my readers and friends supported me to finish it quickly, and they couldn't stand it anymore, but there were one or two enthusiastic friends who kept asking me to write more, hahaha, I'm really embarrassed.

The reasons why I can't continue writing are, firstly, because my grades have really failed me, and another reason is that the overall concept and writing style of this book have made it impossible for me to continue writing. My thinking is exhausted and my passion is gone.

Here is my summary:

1. In novels, plot is king, writing is second, and world structure and setting are second. But as a newbie, I completely turned it upside down and kept working on world structure and setting. The plot was too much, and it was not fun at all. Many places that should be described in detail are briefly mentioned.

2. From the beginning, my position was not correct. I did not put myself in the author's God's perspective, or even the reader's perspective. Instead, I directly substituted myself into the protagonist.

The root of everything is that I was reading a novel one night, and then I imagined that if I traveled through time, what abilities would I have to be able to pretend to be invincible? So there was "Immortality and Damage Reversal", so I opened this novel, and put these two talents on Bai Donglin...

You may have also noticed that Bai Donglin's abilities, skills, and martial arts are all the kind of things that can be used once and for all. There is no need to change them from beginning to end, and they will be used until death!

How could a smart author write like this? The protagonist has everything, so what else is there but a watery word count and a watery plot?

The writing method of once and for all is the most unfriendly to the author. His grandma’s. The most enjoyable is only the protagonist Bai Donglin. From this, it can be seen that I have indeed put myself into the position of the protagonist. If it were anyone else, who would travel through time? Don’t want to get over it once and for all? It's so tiring to change my martial arts and martial arts every now and then.

Therefore, this is something I brought upon myself and brought trouble upon myself, which resulted in many plots and pretentious parts that had no chance to appear at all.

3. Regarding the original intention of writing this novel, the two talents that suddenly appeared above are the second. The most important thing is the setting of "Zhutian Daoyan", which comes from the fact that sometimes when I read the novel, I will suddenly think about the novel. The wonderful worlds in it are all imagined by the author, and they are all false. At that time, there will be an inexplicable sense of loss and emptiness, so there is "The Evolution of the World", hahaha, the fantasy world is real, the author writes Books are one of the means for the strong to spread their traces, and the world of low martial arts is also the exchange of information between the wills of the heavens. I wrote this concept out, and it can be said that this is the most satisfying part of this novel for me.

According to the setting of "Zhutian Daoyan", if a new book is to be published in the future, the characters in "Immortal" will still have the opportunity to appear as the background board and ceiling, so those friends who asked me to continue writing more should not be angry. Although this book is finished, those characters are still there, and Bai Donglin is still there, and he shows up sometimes.

4. I started the book in a hurry. I didn’t understand anything, and I didn’t prepare anything. I just started writing based on my temporary interest. Not to mention saving the manuscript, I didn’t even have an outline. I'm not afraid of everyone's jokes. When the five-color sacred stone "Cang Ming" first appeared, even I didn't know what it was. It was just to add a treasure to the adventure. I made it up, ahem, until later I slowly learned about it. Connect the plot.

To be honest, under such circumstances, I admire myself for being able to finish writing this book. I am really ashamed.

If I want to open a new book, it may be a long time later. I will definitely prepare well, learn lessons, and at least make some progress.
