The driver parked the limousine by the side of the road, not caring about the traffic laws before stepping out along with the rest of the guards. Lin Wu guessed they believed they don't have the rights to hear whatever may be said by the 'Messenger of God.'

Pucci took a brief look over the perimeter of the car, the black windows were one-sided, they can see outside, but no one can hear or see anything from inside.

He stopped for a second, before continuing.

The dark-skinned man tapped the armrest once before a fancy monitor lifted itself from the car floor. The monitor displayed all 26 Cities, as well as red lines from each city all pointing towards City B.

"So, how much do you know?" Pucci asked, getting straight to the point. He quickly drank all the water before pointing at the mini-fridge by Lin Wu, "Pass me the Coca-Cola, drinking water can get boring sometimes even for a priestly man."

After Lin Wu passed the drink over, the can opened by itself before Pucci took a nice gulp.

"I'm a Pope, not a Saint." He said as he took another swig of the drink.

"My ability hasn't been fully integrated yet. It should be done soon." Lin Wu answered honestly, choosing not to hold anything back.

Since his power hadn't been integrated yet, he couldn't fully 'hear' the electromagnetic waves on the same level as the previous user of his ability.

"Understandable," Pucci shrugged, "She told me that your ability to hear everything had been taken down a notch, but in return, She told me to give you something else in exchange."

"Oh? But why?" Was this why there were more and more black spots?

He had to admit; he was quite interested in what he was getting in exchange for it.

"She mentioned that 'The ability to hear everything treaded on the domain of the Gods, I don't want to deal with complaints from the other divinities, not to mention all the paperwork, so…' and then stopped there."

Lin Wu gave in, albeit reluctantly.

Enrico Pucci was previously a Priest from a different world, much like Lin Wu (except for the Priest part).

Lin Wu knew which world Pucci came from, and Pucci knew which world Lin Wu came from. Both came together to the same world through a certain Goddess.

Pucci was a priest with excellent prospects, with multiple churches over the world inviting him to join them, so his rise to Popehood was honestly not a question of 'if' but 'when,' so all the Goddess really did was just let him skip the metaphorical 'queue.'

Pucci's 'religion' was a bit complicated, but simply put, to the Roman Catholic Church of this world; he was a believer of the Biblical God. But to Lin Wu, he was a believer of the Goddess—a Goddess that wasn't too strong, but more powerful than the Gods and Dragons of the DxD hierarchy.

'Plus, it wasn't like the Biblical God would come out of His grave to call Pucci out.' Lin Wu laughed. The circ.u.mstances regarding Pucci didn't really trouble Lin Wu.

Though Lin Wu had to admit he wanted to listen to the smooth and motherly voice of the Goddess some more, all She had said was just two sentences before dropping him into this world and letting the System do the explaining!

"We'll talk about what you'll get for it later, but first let's talk about this little 'competitive' event that's going to happen." The monitor then zoomed onto City B. The bird's-eyes view of the U.A. Stadium did nothing but to enhance its grandeur nature, next to the Stadium was a colossal four-legged robot launching out vast amounts of construction drones.

"As you may or may not already know, there will be a competitive event hosted by U.A. High School in the coming week," the monitor then zoomed in onto the other stadium being built, "There will also be another competitive event, a tournament essentially, sponsored by multiple parties."

The drones had already constructed the skeleton of what appears to be another stadium almost one and a half times the size of the U.A. Stadium!

The monitor then zoomed out back to the 26 Cities again, each pointing towards City B. "While the general populace does not yet know of this, those in the upper-class already do, such as the Nine-Tails from Kyoto, the Monkey King, the Three Factions, and many more—including our Mafia. Some may have leaked this information out onto the internet, not that people would believe them without evidence. The prize, according to what She said, is a set of items that can grant a wish. The reward isn't really anything special, the main goal of this event for the more… 'mythical' beings to recruit potential candidates into their faction/peerage."

Pucci brought his leg over the over as he turned to Lin Wu, "However, that is not our concern. Our concern revolves around a particular enemy of sorts."

"An enemy?" Lin Wu murmured. Though he spoke only to himself, Pucci nodded.

"Perhaps the term 'enemy' may have been misused in this context; it would probably be a 'rival?' Her sister. For lack of better words, Her sister had— and I quote — 'nothing to do' and sent a representative to compete in this event. I believe she was the one who gave the reward to those Devils, what she got in return, I have no idea."

"The Goddess has a sister?"

"It is not our role to question such things," Pucci shook his head, "Her sister is competitive, and challenged Her to see whose 'children' would rank higher in the event."

"Eh?" Lin Wu had a bad feeling.

"And because your System is more combat-oriented than mine, you'll be competing as our representative."

"Ehhhhh?!"

From the very beginning, Lin Wu just wanted to be the spectator—and now the Goddess wants him to compete?!

"Isn't this development too quick?!" He couldn't help but retort.

"Too quick? Aren't we all subjected to the whims of fate?" Pucci reasoned as he took another drink of the Coca-Cola, he then motioned for Lin Wu to come closer.

"Now then, I was told to give you something in exchange."

Lin Wu felt something solid, hard and cold, being inserted inside his forehead. He managed to sneak a peek at the object, a circular-disk of sorts, with a figure imprinted on it. He couldn't see the details of the figure, only seeing that it was humanoid before it disappeared into his head.

"So… what did you give me?" Lin Wu pointed curiously at his forehead. He couldn't feel any different from where he was an hour ago.

"I'm not allowed to tell you, but it won't be activated until the tournament which should be starting next week, in like five days? Just know it's a Stand, in case you already don't know, a Stand is a manifestation of your spirit. A Stand normally manifests itself in the form of a humanoid, the one that I gave you is as such. The Goddess told me to tell you that: 'It's worth it, so don't complain, okay?' And from what I can tell, She is certainly right—not that I doubted Her words, of course. Just be prepared for when the tournament starts, the memories of how to use such a Stand will be integrated much in the way like your Devil Fruit ability." Pucci shrugged nonchalantly.

"Pucci," Lin Wu said as he pointed at the ceiling of the car, "If that's the case, make the entirety of next week nothing but overcast. You know how it is with my... new body and the sunlight."

The Messenger of God laughed with an all-too-knowing smile, "You don't have to worry about that."

"After all," the man continued cryptically, "unlike those self-proclaimed 'Forces of Heaven,' I've attained the true Heaven."

Lin Wu shrugged and got out of the limousine with his umbrella before he felt a hand on his shoulders. He turned around, only to face Pucci was still sitting inside the limo with his arms folded.

"Do you like Mapo Tofu? I'll have someone deliver it to your kitchen; you never lock your door anyway."

"Tell them not to make it too spicy," Lin Wu laughed, "And get me a large bottle of… Pepsi."

"Oh, screw you." Pucci chuckled as the bodyguards entered the limousine, getting the engine ready.

"Right, Father Pucci," Lin Wu stopped.

"Yeah?"

"..."

"What? Just say it."

"Do you accept part-timers?"

"Hmm... sure why not?" The Pope laughed as the limousine door closed and disappeared into the horizon.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Raynare, or as she currently went by, Yuuma bit her nails as she stood behind the concrete wall. She tried to be as quiet as possible as she tried to steady her heart as quickly as possible.

To be exact, she 'hid' behind the concrete wall.

After killing off that perverted 'boyfriend' of hers, she just had to see her next target—Lin Wu sitting in the car with the bloody Pope of all people!

Did the two seriously not care about who may be looking? Does the 'hidden' Pope not care? Well, not many people know of his existence but still!

'Wait, I know the other Pope can use magic.' Which only meant that Enrico Pucci could use it as well to wipe memories! Or at least that's what she assumed from what she had heard during one of her faction leader's many drunken stupors.

Raynare was entrusted with the task to eliminate Issei Hyoudou since his Sacred Gear could very well pose a threat to the Fallen Angels.

And that includes her.

'We Fallen Angels have always been eliminating those Sacred Gear users with the potential to cause harm to our race.'

That naturally included Lin Wu. The teenager supposedly possessed some sort of teleportation-related Sacred Gear. If she were to guess, the Devils in Kuoh Academy already knew of his ability but chose not to do anything because they believed it to be a simple teleportation.

But Raynare—and her faction leader—knew better. If the Sacred Gear got stronger, then Lin Wu might be able to teleport an army!

Whether or not he used his Sacred Gear on purpose—or simply underestimated the abilities of the Three Factions—didn't matter, she was to eliminate him, and after that, she would take the Sacred Gear of the nun she had met recently.

'Her name was… Asia, I believe.'

Raynare watched quietly as the windows of the limousine quickly darkened, preventing her from peeking inside as four intimidating bodyguards walked out. One of them met eyes with Raynare before she quickly hid.

'I will have to report this to Lord Azazel; Lin Wu is definitely more than he shows himself to be.'

Her hands reached for her skirt, adjusting it properly in the case that she needed to run.

'Oh?'

She realized that on the hems of the skirt, was a little bit of blood — the beautiful white dress stained with red.

Raynare grimaced as she remembered the look of the boy's face when she quietly stabbed a spear of light through his c.h.e.s.t. There were simply too many people for her to go on her true form, and she had decided to do it a day early due to her intuitions practically begging her to do it immediately. Luckily, no one was watching so she could run away quickly.

Truth be told, the look of absolute betrayal pained Raynare. Albeit a small 'event' in the long life of a Fallen Angel, it still hurt her to see his expression of despair.

'But it had to be done,' She reasoned, 'we Fallen Angels cannot replenish our numbers like the Devils… such is the fate for those who'd fallen from Heaven.'

Deep inside her heart, she wanted to play 'couple' with Issei a little bit more. He treated her like a normal girl; he gave her love—albeit stained with l.u.s.t—and he even pampered her.

Before she could continue regretting her decisions, a firm hand rested on her shoulder.

Raynare froze like a sculpture made of ice.

She started sweating as she felt the emanating pressure looming from behind her.

"Oh? What do we have here?"

She didn't dare turn around as in her peripheral; she could see a man with perfectly combed hair, patterned with white and black, large irises, and a high cheekbone standing next to her in a white suit.

Raynare wanted to scream, she wanted to let out her wings and soar through the skies.

"That's a nice limousine you're looking at, when I get promoted, I'll make sure to get a good car…" The man calmly said out loud as he kept his arm on her shoulders.

The man was a head taller than she was; he was clearly in his early-to-mid thirties. Her eyes dilated as she felt the hand lifting itself from her shoulder.

'Chance!' She said as she jumped back!

After securing a meter distance between the two, she prepared to let out her wings before an invisible force slammed her onto the ground!

"Help! Someone! I'm being attacked!" She screamed as she tried to look around for any civilians.

But to her surprise, there was absolutely no one!

No one!

The man strolled towards her as she watched him from the concrete ground.

"Get away from me!" She squirmed as she tried to summon a spear of light before her arms were smashed onto the ground as well!

'Just what exactly is his magic?! Is it gravity?!'

The man kneeled by her side and picked up her right arm. "Hm, not bad."

Not knowing what he meant, Raynare tried to wiggle out of the invisible force as she then felt his hands touching hers.

For some reason, Raynare remembered the time when Issei held her by her hands…

"You have gorgeous hands—like that of an angel, I would love to add you into my collection… Wait." The man stopped.

"Ouch!" Raynare could feel the man twisting her fingers!

'Ugh!' He bent her fingers all the way down to meet the back of her hands!

"What a shame. You have such beautiful hands, and yet you tarnish it with nails such as yours." Raynare could feel the hate seething from him!

"Whatever, with good, comes bad, such is the natural order of life," the man sighed, as he proceeded to sit on Raynare's back, "Truth be told, I used to have that habit too you know?"

"Wh… Habit?" Raynare managed to squeeze out a few words.

"Biting your nails. In my case, it prevented me from collecting them and it can ruin the shape of your beautiful fingers. Ingrown nails and the like." The man continued nonchalantly.

'Is… Is he crazy?! No matter, I must find a way to escape this situation!' Perhaps she could wipe his memories? But considering he was strong enough to force her onto the ground, he must've dabbled into mysticism where her memory magic wouldn—

"Say, do you believe in reincarnation?"

Raynare ignored him as she continued to think of solutions before she felt him grabbing her by the back of her head.

"I said." The man smashed her face into the ground.

"Do you." He picked up head from the concrete floor, the concrete shattering.

"Believe." And again.

"In."

"Reincarnation. " The man smashed her face through the spiderweb-like cracks of the surface!

'Bloody hell! How is he so strong, and how is he so calm? Is he adding gravity magic onto his attacks?!"

"You know," The man finally let go, "I always have to wonder if I'm protected by luck, I thought I was dead when I was pulled by those damned 'ghosts' in the alley."

'What alley is he talking about?! Has he gone mad?!"

"But you know, when one has great fortune, another must undergo great misfortune. It just so happens that the man you were stalking was my savior."

'Who?! Lin Wu or Enrico Pucci?!'

"Lord Azazel will avenge me if you kill me!" She had to find a way to get out and report to Azazel!

"Whoever he may be, just know that if I were to fight," The man got up and grabbed Raynare by her face, lifting her far up from the ground with only one arm, staring deep into her eyes between his fingers.

"I wouldn't lose to anyone."

Raynare could hear a switch being pressed!

"W-Wha—" Fractures started appearing throughout her body!

An explosion occurred inside her body— but there was no sound!

Not even a trace of her was left!
