In Resident Evil, But It's Slightly Different...?

"This is Josh!"

"Shit!"

The sudden noise of my radio made me jump as the group was leaving the Mansion

'Necro, I thought my radio was turned off?'

[I took the liberty of turning it on for you, otherwise you would have missed this important message]

I sighed and grabbed the radio from my belt

"I you can't answer me, give me a sign somehow!" The pilot came through again

"Jack to Josh! Can you hear me?" I yelled into the box, only to get static in return

"Josh!"

*CSHHHHHHH*

"Damn it!"

Chris and Jill took out their radios but got nothing in their favor

"How should we get the signal out to Josh?" Chris asked me in a serious tone

I sighed and looked back at them

"For now, we won't worry. We need to explore this place some more and figure out what he f.u.c.k is happening before we try and ignore it. If you really feel like we need to alert him, try and find your way up to the roof to make a fire, or find a flare gun"

The trio looked like they wanted to retort, but it seems they had pictured the giant plant that I had killed, ridding them those thoughts

"Let's just keep going, Josh will have to wait for now" Jill said and started walking forward

It didn't take long to make it back to the Mansion, only needing to kill a few undead dogs, which I absorbed secretly, but otherwise we only needed a minute or two to traverse the forest in between

However, we had only barely stepped inside when I sensed something coming up from behind us

"GET DOWN!"

They barely had enough time to react before a sharp claws flew over their heads, bringing a body flying with it

It tumbled and crawled to its feet, taking the time to screech at us

The thing was maybe three feet tall and covered in scales. It has no neck, making it look like some sort of fish, only the arms and legs with claws sharper than at bears were the thing that threw us off

Chris took point and blasted the reptilian creature with my old shotgun, sending it flying back into the wall

It didn't seem to hold it down, however, as it stood right back up, a bloody hole dripping from its c.h.e.s.t

"What the f.u.c.k?" I heard the Man mutter, making me grin

"Just be glad you haven't seen the spiders or snakes yet.."

He looked at me, surprised "Spiders?"

I only chuckled before running at the reptile with a knife in hand

*SHIIII*

*CLANK*

"Hoh? Stronger than I thought..."

It managed to block my knife with its claws, almost seemingly grinning at me

I ignored it and pulled out my magnum before double tapping it in its head

"Definitely not smarter though" I muttered, sheathing my pistol and knife

"What the hell was that thing?" Jill muttered loud enough for us all to hear

Grimmacing, I glanced at them "Trust me, it's better you guys don't know right now"

The B&E Specialist turned and glared at me

"What the hell is that supposed to mean? You know what that is?" She half asked/demanded me to tell her

I frowned "I don't know the specifics, only that it's been experimented on with something called the T-Virus. Here" I tossed them a folder that I half fabricated, half picked up from the shark facility

Rebecca caught it as the medic and chemist before skimming through it, her face getting more and more disgusted as time went on

It was almost ten minutes later when she finally closed it and looked me in the eye

"We are getting every single little word of info about this thing from this facility, and then it we are going to burn it to the ground"

I was a little taken back from the change in attitude in her voice but nodded none the less

"What did you read in that folder?"

Rebecca turned to Chris and gave him a grim look

"Let's just say, they've been experimenting on a lot more than just humans in Racoon City"

Chris' eyes widened slightly and I could see him grip his shotgun tightly

I got up from the ground, reptile disappearing into mush as a disguise as I absorbed it

"Let's keep moving, we don't want to be late for extraction"

The group nodded and we continued to the Dining room

On the way, we killed another 4 of those Reptiles as well as unlocked multiple doors that we could not before with the help of Jill as well as multiple other keys found in the house

I looked up through the window at the crescent moon shining Into the dining room and frowned

'Almost out of here...'
