In Resident Evil, But It's Slightly Different...?

( Extra Chapter for all of the support so far. I really didn't think a RE fic would do this well, so thank you)

The rest of the day was spent with the holographic teacher, learning the first style

Even though the teacher was a hologram, it was really strict and could tell when I was slacking

I left the dojo that day with more sore muscles than I ever had in my life

The only reasons I kept up with it is because I knew what was coming, and Necro told me that it would heal my body every night after training, which was honestly a life saver

(A/N : Necro is going to be my fallback on a bunch of things, so if you don't like that then oh well, at least until Jack is strong enough to procure this stuff for himself)

My next goal was to buy some sort of apartment on the outskirts of town in preparation

I eventually got one for 400$ a month with one bedroom, one bathroom and a small kitchen

It wasn't much, but it was something

Something interesting that happened when I first stepped foot in the apartment though

I unlocked the door with my newly obtained house key and stepped inside

[ Congratulations! You have obtained your first property!

Owning a property allows you to reinforce and defend it against the eventual hordes of Zombies!

By spending money, and other resources, one can upgrade a property with little to no effort ]

I rose an eyebrow "Upgrade? The hell?"

[ Yes! I realize that the games never integrated, nor wanted this aspect in their gameplay, but I believe it important for you to have a spot where you may defend at a last Stand situation ]

I thought about it for a minute before I nodded

'I guess that would be pretty smart..'

~~~ Flashback End ~~~

I didn't upgrade this place any, simply because I was going to be abandoning it the first sign of the forest incidents happening, along with Racoon City after the Mansion, only maybe staying for Leon

The rest of the week was spent at the dojo and at a shooting range I found the second day

Necro kept it's promise and healed me every night which kept me going at peak condition, combining that with the doubled learning speed, I jumped straight up to a brown Belt within six days which according to the hologram, was unimaginable for normal humans

Today, however, was my first day on the Job

Necro provided me a personal S.T.A.R.S outfit for the occasion, which honestly looked great. Speaking of, I never really talked about my appearance, did I?

Now is a good a time as any I guess..

To start off with, I had Red and black hair, which naturally looked like I had black highlights throughout. It was cut to a neck level and was let hang loose. My height was at a nice 6'1, without any unnecessary muscles - making me look like a world class swimmer. My eyes, finally, were a brilliant Forest green color

I pulled up to the RC Police Department in my truck, stepping out to admire the giant building in front of me

"Hey! Jack!" I heard from behind me

Turning around, I was met by the sight of Jill waving at me with a large smile

"Jill! How are you?" I returned the greeting with my own smile

"Ah, Just trying not to fall asleep on the job, you know?" She elbowed me slightly "So how are you? You excited for your first day?"

I hummed and scratched my chin slightly

"Kind of? I'm quite sure I'll be fine, but I still don't know exactly what I'm going to be doing..."

Jill just patted my back "Don't worry about it big guy. You'll do just fine!"

She guided me through the doors and toured me through the building

It looked like it had the exact same layout as the RE2 Remake, which was Meh at the moment, but if I decide to come back - Will be awesome for me

Even though the remake was pretty annoying, I still played it all the way through all of the campaigns just to get the 100% completion so I know this place like the back of my hand

"...And right here" She presented the door she stood by "Is the door to the S.T.A.R.S office! Come on inside!"

She opened the door and I followed her in

The first sight I saw was the face of Barry, an older, big guy with a grey moustache and who always had a cigar in his mouth

"You must be the new recruit! Nice to meet you, names Barry" He held his hand out

"Jack Duran, Thank you" I politely replied, firmly shaking his hand

Chris Redfield, Brother of Clair Redfield and future BSAA Agent, came by next, followed by Rebecca Chambers - Bravo Teams medic, The pilots for Alpha and Bravo - Josh and Andre. Then the combat specialist for Bravo, Burke.

"Its nice to meet all of you. Thanks for giving me such a warm welcome" I smiled and scratched the back of my head

"It's nice to have ya here kid" Barry told me "Wesker, the captain, is out for a trip right now unfortunately, and he'll be back next week, so until then I'm in charge"

I internally sighed in relief at that revelation

'I did not want to have to deal with Wesker right now..'

"So..." I looked around at everyone getting back to work "What am I supposed to do?"

Barry grunted "Head down to Henry in the storage closets and he'll give you your issued pistol and knife. Then you can talk to Chris over there and he will tell you what to do next" He told me before walking off to his own desk

I turned back to Jill who was nervously smiling "Busy day in the workplace?" I guessed

She gave a laugh and nodded

I sighed before heading down to the Storage Room

"Let's get to work.."
