In The DC World With A System

The Allens family continued to talk among themselves. Even though if they are confident of their chances of survival they still want to cherish this moment. But just in case they didn't survive this night, they decided to use their last few moments before that decisive moment, with their family one last time.

Thomas took his leave after talking with his parents and decided to prepare for the chaotic time which was right at their doorsteps.

" In the end, I was too hasty, we attracted chaos to ourselves," Terrence said to Daphne with regret in his words.

Daphne smiled at her husband and run her hands through the hands of her husband and grabbed it to offer support.

" It isn't your fault, dear. It was already going to happen. At least we will not have to worry about our son. With the talent he showed so far, the military will take him in and they cannot touch him there." She said optimistically.

" But his freedom is forfeit. He will lose all semblance of free will and become a tool in the hands of the military." Terrence said with great rage in his heart.

To think his beloved son will become a slave to someone even if it is the military made feel him guilty and angry at himself.

It was his actions which brought this upon them.

Daphne knows what awaits her son in the future if something happens to them tonight. He will become a slave to the whims of his masters.

Daphne remembered something which Thomas once said something to them when he asked his parents to contact the military for him.

Flashback

Terrence and Daphne are in the study room with Thomas who said he has some important matter to them.

" So what is it that you want to talk to us about? I have already given you free hands to do whatever you wish to do about your research and experiments ?" Terrence asked confused why he said something like this.

Daphne looks at her fifteen-year-old son who has a unique scholar like temperament to himself. It has been nearly five years since there was a visible change in her son.

Her son has changed from the irresponsible and lazy son to the diligent, smart and hard-working yet too much attention-seeking son.

He has almost become a glory hound.

She still remembers how he uses different methods to always be a person of focus in his current school.

Although only 15, he has completed various university-level topics in different science subjects. If he wants to, he can graduate at any moment.

But, Daphne wished he experiences the school and has some friends his age. She was very happy about learning he has some friends at school and he often went out to spend time with them.

Thomas is everything a parent wished for. He is smart, athletic ( he specialize in body magic which helps him use magic powers to strengthen his physical abilities. ), hard-working and obedient.

But he isn't without faults. He is proud, almost arrogant and a complete attention-seeking person( because of the requirements of the system).

He often gets into a fight, plays small pranks with the fire system of the school or in their science lab every now and then while leaving clues to show he did it.

Above that, he flirts with every cute girl he can find in the school and sometimes even his teachers.

The flirting started when he was 14 and for nearly two years he has become adept in it.

Almost every weekend since that day he goes off on a date with one girl. They aren't fixed for no relation of his last more than three months and this is the maximum term.

He even has some special classes or detention with his teachers too.

With all these experience he still restrained his emotions and these relations never exceed a little make-out session. But, Daphne knows by the time he reached 17, he may cross that boundary.

And it is 17 only because Daphne made her son promise her that he will be a child until he is 17.

Even though a teenager can be considered a semi-a.d.u.l.t and get his driving license at the age of 16, but Daphne doesn't want him to be too involved in those things just yet.

Scientifically, it affects a person growth if a young one gets involved in s.e.x.u.a.l actions too early. So she made him promise that.

Her thoughts stopped running around when Thomas started to talk about something, " I wish you introduce me to your military agent so I can show off my products to him."

Terrence who was using his cigar held it in between his fingers and looked at his son in shock and confusion.

Daphne has a similar expression for they know that if he is introduced to the military with their current strength, he may be taken by them and used as a slave there.

They aren't strong enough or they have enough connections to protect their son from the military claws.

Before Daphne can get emotional and ask Thomas, Terrence asked him with the hint of rationality still in him, "Why?"

" Because we are almost a billionaire father. " When Thomas said that he understood what he is trying to say.

A billionaire isn't just someone with money but they have the power to affect the world economy. Although in the USA it isn't that great.

But, it isn't the case outside. Currently, there are many nations out there whose GDP doesn't exceed over a few hundred billion dollars.

So, it is a symbol of great status in the world. But it is also something which can only be achieved if you have certain powers in your hand.

" So, what is it that you wish to do?"

" With our current strength, we will suffer heavy losses just to survive. So if we show off some of our tech to the military, then we can use advance tech along with some other things to increase our chances of survival. " Thomas said. He didn't say what those words mean bug he understands they can be a decent game changer.

" And how sure are you about them?"Daphne asked her son.

Thomas smiled mysteriously and said, " Even if they send out Nuclear Bomb as long as we have time, we can survive. As long as we are in this mansion, we are safe from all threats."

He didn't say that some supernatural forces can take them out but it isn't something that need be said just yet.

Terrence looked at the confident visage of his son and agreed to this. This is also a way to protect his son in case something did happen to them. " Ok. I will do as you said." But he isn't done just yet

"We need to see what makes you so confident," he said

Thomas thought about it and then agreed to show it to them.

The things they saw that day brought a great shock and a sense of pride in themselves.

Flashback ends

" We know just what tricks he holds in his hands, don't we?" She said smiling at her husband.

Remembering it, he smiles and said, "I know, but it doesn't mean I am fine. The strength of the Leviathan is very mysterious. I don't know if we can survive it. "

Daphne said confidently, "Remember what he said

' As long as they enter the house with the intent of hostility they lose their life. '

And, I don't think they can take on the invisible army he holds in his hands."

Terrence smiled at his wife confident face and didn't say anything to repute but he still thought, ' If it is just ordinary assassins then we will be fine but if they are supernatural then what will you do?'
