In The DC World With A System

Thomas is making his way towards the apartment building which has been the joint resident of Thomas Allens and David Stutler.

It was around seven o clock in the evening and the adventures of Dave might start soon.

He wants to be involved in it from the very beginning and not in the middle.

On the way, David and Thomas met each other. David asked his best friend, " How was your date?"

Thomas replied not feeling any need to hide things from Dave." It was good. We made out in the end. We are going to meet in this weekend at the Club. So how was your day? Did something good happened?"

Dave asked surprised his friend knows about his recent encounter, "How do you know something good happened?"

He just arched his brows. He twirls his fingers around his face and spoke, "Its all over your face, bud. Something good may have happened to you."

Dave was very excited about it and told him all about meeting Becky to helping her repair the transmitting mast of the radio tower.

Thomas is happy for his friend but also knows that things aren't going to be easy for his bud from here onwards.

Thomas pats his shoulders showing he was happy and jokes, " So is she really as beautiful as you dreamt or did she turn into an old hag?" Saying that he started to run towards their joint apartment knowing what is to come.

Dave shouted " Why you? " but seeing his friend getting a massive headstart started to run abd catch him.

This run managed to speed up their travel.

They have arrived their apartment room but Thomas has a call so Dave entered the room earlier.

When Thomas entered he saw a middle aged man in coat and a walking stick, talk to Dave, "I thought B- was generous. I have been recently released from a 10 year sentence during which the only reading material, " He points at the paper hung on the Refrigerator, " was your so called report on Napoleon Bonaparte. "

He even commented on them, " Your analysis was obvious but prose was weak."

At that moment, Thomas decided to make them aware of his presence.

He looks at the paper hung and then at Horvath, " I think you can give my buddy a free pass, after all he was in his fourth grade at that time and history has always been his weakest subject. "

Hogarth looked at the new arrival with interest, " And who might you be?"

Horvath doesn't care about their talks and spoke, " I am Horvath. I am here for the Grimhold, where is it. The doll you took from the shop. The door hold something very powerful, something very important to me.You had it last. " he asked Dave. " I want it back." He said in a severe tone.

"I dont know. I threw it in the street and ran away. It has been so long. I don't remember." Dave replied while trying to find a way out of here.

" Where is the grimhold?" He asked again but this time he stood up from the chair.

He flicked his staff and a knife flew to himself.

" I will cut the truth out of you." He warned him.

Before Dave could run, Thomas spoke out, " So you are a sorcerer. Air burst." He waved his hand at Horvath who has been surprised by the sudden assault.

" What was that?" Dave shouted in surprise.

" That my friend is magic. " Thomas said in proud tone.

" But how?"Dave asked surprised by all this.

But at that moment, Thomas was thrown back.

" It seems like we have a little sorcerer here. " Horvath stood up and pats his coat while raising his stick ready for battle.

Thomas waves his hand and supported his fall while shouting, "Lion appear" The chair on which Horvath sat had a lion Photo on it which has turned into a real lion.

It lunged Horvath who has raised a pack of wolves to deal with the lion.

" Now we should run." Thomas spoke when the lion kept Horvath busy.

They left the apartment and ran towards the metro station.

" Why are we running? That lion should have pinned him down?" Dave asked confused by their current actions.

Thomas swat his head and asked, "He is much stronger than me. He will deal with that lion soon. I cannot sustain that lion long under Horvath tricks. We can only run." Thomas warned Dave.

When they reached the bridge, the two heard howls of wolves and two wolves came out from the apartment. It smelled their scent and run towards them.

" See. He is back to chase us." Thomas sneered at Dave and rushed towards the metro station. After a few moments, the wolves and Horvath returned ready to catch them.

On entering the station, both of them hid by the tracks but it doesn't seem work.

Dave started to run but Thomas knows they cannot escape. Until and unless Balthazar arrives to save them, there is no hope for them.

Horvath noticed the young sorcerer stood his ground and didn't opt to escape with his friend. He asked, "You don't want to escape, young sorcerer."

Thomas shrug his shoulders and replied, " I am a sorcerer too. If I want to catch an ordinary man, I can do it with the wave of my hand, literally. So why should I waste my energy in escaping? "

He was impressed with the thoughts of Thomas so far. Of he hasn't opposed him maybe he may have recruited him to join him.

"You are smart, But it won't save you. Get them." He compliments and orders the wolves to attack.

" Earth bind." He waves his hand. The stones began to wrap around them trapping Horvath and crushed the wolves. They became puppies.

Knowing it won't work on his opponent for long, he started the narration." Magnus O ignis petitionem meam. Devorabit omnia redigere hostem quaeso finery"

('Oh great master of fire, heed my request. I beseech you to burn down my enemy and reduce everything to ashes. Great Fire annihilation.' )

Thomas has a massive array in front of him and a large wave of flame submerged Horvath. This amazed not only Horvath but also Dave and the newly arrived Balthazar.

At that very moment, Balthazar came on a massive metal eagle and shouted, " Ride on, we have to leave."

Without any second thought, Thomas climbed the eagle and pulled Dave with him.

" What? Why? Isn't he done for?" Dave asked confused.

As soon as he said that, the flame around Horvath was reduced and he starts walking out of it. Thomas waves his hands and covered his path with the residual flame.

Balthazar took this moment to will the metal eagle to fly away.

The first battle between Thomas and Horvath ended in this way.
