Thomas is very busy after returning from the test for the ownership of Merlin's ring. He has no idea about the gift Merlin has left for him or how strong he has really become after his return as he was catching up with the things which happened in Gotham after his two days of retreat which was about twenty years time for him.

After returning the first thing Thomas did was to contact his personal AI, Lisa and ask her about the recent events and the follow-up of his meeting with Police Lieutenant Gordon.

She told him everything that happened after he left.

In his absence, some things have happened which are worthy of his personal attention.

Firstly, Batman has started to round up all the people in Gotham who are related to him and have dabbled their hands in the dark world.

Secondly, the City Council has issued a directive to hunt down the remnants of the Black mask Gang as a method of getting closer to him, but they also imposed some regulations on the hospital and other industries which he has absorbed from Roman.

And, finally the most important thing which made him forget about everything else, even the excitement of getting stronger and making a breakthrough, it was the arrival of Talia al Ghul.

At the beginning no one knew what her true identity was. She was put under surveillance like everyone entering Gotham. This surveillance is only for a few days until nothing out of ordinary incident related to them is discovered.

She arrived at the city as a young talented and beautiful entrepreneur, named Claire who seems very interested in meeting him.

She has disguised herself as such and the only reason Thomas found her secret identity was because of her instinctive reaction to Batman.

Bruce Wayne, aka Batman was trained by Ra's Al Ghul to be his successor and the next leader of the League of Shadows.

Under his training, he learned many things and his stealth ability is one of the best.

For her to react to Batman was captured on nanobots which Lisa increase her surveillance.

This increased surveillance has helped them find many things which showed her connection to assassins as well as her identity of Talia.

She has met a few of them and didn't reveal anything which can make someone doubt her identity. Not even the greatest detective of Gotham, Batman can see through her facade. This showed just how well she has prepared a cover for herself.

She visited many people along the way as an attempt not to let anyone discover her and even if they did, they cannot find her real objective or goal.

She had taken serious measures to make sure her real identity isn't revealed and created enough alibi for her fake identity of a young entrepreneur.

But like every human, she made a mistake. Even though she acts like a normal person who do not possess any fighting skills or anything else, her instincts made her reveal the flaw.

Lisa has noticed that she managed to sense the nanobots looking at her,

Her meeting and talks with Mayor Quincy Sharp and his advisor Dr. Hector Hugo didn't ring any warning bells until she did something unexpected.

After her normal talks with them about the infrastructure development, tax rebate and preferential policy she can enjoy if she invest in developing Gotham, she did something unexpected and surprised everyone.

Firstly, she released a burst of EMP wave which negated all the surveillance object or electronic device in the room except for the lights.

This way she didn't have to worry about being eavesdropped. She felt someone was watching her throughout her stay in Gotham. She discarded it as something which the resident Hero Batman did in order to keep track of everything.

The next meeting is a private one involving Hugo and her, hence she acted this way.

Secondly, Hugo hypnotized the good mayor into sleep and prevent Sharp from hearing them.

The EMP wave didn't affect the nano to much but it has made the image fragmented.

The video is a bit corrupted but the audio is perfect.

In that video she revealed her true identity, it was confirmed Dr. Hugo is also afflicted with the League of Shadows and finally her d.e.s.i.r.e to meet him has increased considerably after her talks with Sharp.

In this secret talks, she took the precious intel which cannot be passed on to her through others. This intel include the council of owls, their guards and something related with Solomon Grundy.

Her final question was his opinion about him, aka Thomas Allens.

Hugo didn't hide anything, and regaled everything he has done so far.

For average people, it might seem like a young boy drunk in his family power and showing his strength by killing Roman Sionis, aka Black Mask.

But, both Hugo and Talia found how he wished to cause upheaval in Gotham and use the support from Wayne to create a foothold for himself in Gotham.

Killing Roman might be an extreme step on Thomas part, but his decisive nature in dealing with his foes made the players of the Game of Gotham vigilant around him and take note of this young and Inexperienced but genius scientist and businessman.

Talia was always curious about him since his inventions brought about the first failure of her personal force, Leviathan.

Her main reason for coming to Gotham was to meet him face to face abd find whether he will be an obstacle in the path of Shadows or a helper.

With the help of Hugo, she even procured herself an invitation for the integration ceremony of the first hospital set up by the Allens Corporation.

This made Thomas afraid and he has half a mind about not attending the party and creates a random excuse for himself.

But he cannot do that, especially not when his girlfriend is coming to meet him and will attend the party as his date under his mother's request, cough, command.

With no way to escape her, he was prepared to face the heir of greatest assassin alive and spend time with his hot girlfriend.

But before the encounter, he must prepare himself. This reminded him that he hasn't seen what Merlin has left for his successor or if there is any improvement in his skills.
