In The DC World With A System

Thomas is currently going through the computer in his family mansion. He is going through the data drives his father has procured for him.

His actions brought much surprise to the father and mother. But, above all they are happy to see him like this. It meant he is serious for his future and his actions so far showed how much of a genius he was.

After being discharged from the New York Hospital on the second day of regaining conscience, he was still on full rest time. This was the special instructions his personal Doctor have issued.

And, hearing this his mother Daphne has also reinforced this order. She has made special arrangements and managed to trap Thomas in their mansion in the outskirts of the New York.

He is trapped in his room with nothing to do. So he hounded his father who can be his only hope. He was sure he cannot make his father help him in convert his mother's decision, but he can get some convenience and things to pass time.

If it was just for some fun, Terrence may not have helped him. This time, Terrence asked something very different which made Terrence agree to help him.

This has also made him happy. His normally playful and carefree son started to study hard. If not for he saw how he remembered everything he studied as well as how he questioned him personally, he thought his son was playing and skimming through the books he gave him.

Terrence remembered the talk he had with his son on reaching their Mansion in the outskirts of the New York City.

FLASHBACK

Daphne has left to get something for Thomas. She didn't trust the maid or anyone in the mansion to get the right thing for Thomas.

She has decided to make food for him and everything else personally. She has took a leave from the hospital she worked and owned, since Thomas injury.

This time, Daphne have Terrence look at their injured son.

" Father, can you get me something to read?" Thomas asked his father after his mother left them in the room alone.

" What? You don't want to read those comics you bought last anymore. Or did you need some new comics?" Terrence asked. He doesn't like his son wasting his time on these meaningless things. He almost wanted to burn these industry to the ground but for his son he bared them.

" Comics? " He said puzzled. He was curious about the comics he talked about but thinking about the dangerous future, he put down his curiousity. He continued, " I don't wish to read comics. I want books on physics, chemistry and other books about science.

I also wish to go through those books about the computer science, hardware and software. " He told his father.

Terrence was confused why his son should ask for them. A part of him hoped that his son is serious about his studies from now on as well as he has grown up mentally. But, he also don't wish his wish to fall down from the sky to earth so he didn't let his hopes rise.

He only asked him," Why?"

Thomas has prepared for a long time to use different reasons to convince his father to get him the things he needed for his future.

But, at this time even with his strong memory he cannot say a thing he prepared to convince his father when they met their eyes. He only managed to utter out, "I wish to learn. I wish to discover new things. From these books I can not only pass time while I rest."

" So you wish to get them so you can learn?" Terrence asked.

" Yes " he said with conviction.

Terrence doesn't say anything about his reply but looks at his son in his eyes to see if it is a moment's impulse or anything like that.

But his son didn't avert his eyes and looked right back at him.

He looked at him with conviction and showed no sign of backing down.

" Very well. Everything you asked for will be in front of you by evening. I will also set up a computer system in your room.

Whatever you wish for, I will have Arnold get you, or gave any butler or maid to get for you.

But, if you are joking, then I will send you to a boarding school. " Terrence ordered and warned his son if he showed any signs of deceit.

FLASHBACK ENDS

It has been a month since Thomas has discharged. In this time, he has already gone through every science related book he has and even gone through the computer books. They even has some books which high school students study.

The speed at which he grasped everything and memorised everything scared the hell out of his parents.

Earlier they believed that he was just joking around and with time he would stop and return to acting like before the near death incident.

But with time, they understood just how serious he was. After some time they became accustomed to this change in their son and even appreciated it.

With this drive of his, he won't be depended on the fortune their family possessed and build his own future with his own effort.

Daphne took a step into his son's new vigour to learning and have tried to pull his attention towards tge medical field.

Terrence would have come forward to pull his son's attention towards his field of business, ie, arms trade but a glare from her and a talk about being the " angel of death", put his idea if halt.

While this was going on, none if his studies so far has put any trouble to him. After all he did study them in the last life and only dabbles into them can bring the past memory in his mind out.

He hasn't been sure in which time he is in. But, Thomas has confirmed just what the current time is. It is 1990, the time when the www internet isn't established just yet and soon the world will enter a new age.

But, the computer is something very different.

This isn't the time of Friendly operating system that Thomas was aquainted to, but an old time, even antique operating system.

The current isn't as user friendly and every code must be input to do a certain work on the computer.

To think every small action required a long string of codes, which was very irritating. For someone, who lived in the fast age of 21st century this slow working processor and long chained codes of the computer, is enough to make one mad.

But, he endured all of this because the continuous exposure increased his computer language skill and he will soon be able to create a small program after just one month of practice.

This time was a great opportunity for to not only get popularity point without any difficulty but also earn money from it.

All he needs is create a software company and make it advance forward with his prophetic vision and set a name for himself.

This way he can easily earn Popularity points without having to be in news every day.

Even though he is only resting now, his popularity point has reached 4532. It is from the reward as well as the continuous acc.u.mulation over the course of time.
