In The DC World With A System

After the little fun with Selina, Angela and Thomas left the establishment for their next goal, a post office of the Arkham district.

The next target of Thomas is Edward Nygma, aka the Riddler. He is a super-villain enemy of Batman who commits crimes revolving around an obsession with riddles. He is a very intelligent person who can perform his crimes without leaving behind a single clue.

His signature gimmick is committing high-profile crimes, and giving clues or hints to law enforcement.

All of this is what future holds for him in case he walks the path of villainy.

But for now he works at the Arkham post office. From what Thomas has gathered about his next objective, he lives in a broken house alone. His father has passed away while his mother was absent from his life since he was a child.

' With Selina as the face of the group and Edward as the mastermind, I won't have to worry about the operations in Arkham.

What will be the real worrying factor is their loyalty? He isn't sure how long they will remain loyal. This is the deciding factor.

The post officer of Arkham district was only a couple kilometre away from Selina's residence. While it is boring to walk alone, if there is someone to talk with then the journey becomes a pleasant one.

Thomas looked at the thoughtful look on Angela's face as they strode forward. He has a mischievous look on his face, " You seem to lost in thoughts, Angy. Is it that you are missing her already? If it is so, I shouldn't have interrupted you.

Don't worry I promise I won't disturb you later. If I am fortunate enough, maybe I would have the chance to join the two. "

His words brought her out of her thoughts, but the meaning behind his words made her nauseous.

She hit him on the shoulders angrily and have a sick look on her face, "Don't say something like that. The very thought of it makes me puke." She even glared at him to stop him from trading into this topic.

But Thomas isbt in the mood to give up just yet. He continued his teasing, " You seem to like that. You were enjoying it. I was so jealous at that time you know.

You were having fun on your own and didn't even invite me to join you. I am very angry. " He has a childish pout on his face and turned away from her.

Angela smiled at this when he said that knowing he is trying to ease her mind abd not dwell on that incident.

" I am sorry. Please forgive me. " She apologised to him in a sweet voice which not only calmed him but also have an arousing effect.

To Thomas, Angela is a female fatal who can seduce him with the slightest of effort and can wrap him around her fingers easily. She knows this very well and used it to her advantage.

His pout reduced and he turned to her.

She was happy and her mood was uplifted. Sensing she has recovered mostly, he added, "I will not forgive you easily."

" And how will you forgive me?" She asked him thinking it will be one of those challenges he often give out to her which are adventurous to her.

" If you ever do that again, make sure to invite me too. That scene is too much for me. If it wasn't for our early morning exercise, I would have joined you without an invite. "

Angela's face turned crimson red on hearing this. It was her turn to be angry. She hissed angrily, "I didn't know my boyfriend was such a pervert. I dont want to talk with you. " She started to walk away but Thomas grabbed her hands not letting her leave him.

"You don't think you can leave me just like that, did you? You better be prepared, when he return back we will be having one hell of a time." The last words had a hint of possessiveness and dominance.

She was more aroused than she was with Selina. She can only nod her head meekily under this situation.

When they were making way to the post office hand in hand, something happened which spiked Thomas's attention.

He stopped at a spot and looked in a particular direction. A few seconds later, a large explosion took place in that direction which rocked everything around it. The shockwave of the blast wasn't powerful enough to penetrate the buildings in the path and reach Thomas, but the huge explosion clouds could be seen from far.

Thomas looked at the place attentively feeling the uneasiness in the atmosphere, just before the explosion took place.

" We should leave Arkham fast. " Thomas told Angela who was looking at the direction curiously and wished to know more about the explosion.

" Why do we have to leave? Weren't we heading for the post office?" She asked when their original plan of actions were brought to halt. She felt there was more to this explosion and Thomas's idea of running back to their hotel affirmed her doubt.

Thomas saw the unyielding look on Angela's face. He understood until and unless he tell her what really happened she won't leave.

" Let's just say that explosion out there is just the beginning. Something big is on it's way. " he explained it to her and then hailed a cab for their ride back to Hotel Zeus.

On the way back he sensed a being summoned and it's howl echoed the area. He mumbled angrily, " Which idiot dared to call upon hell hounds. He does not even made sure to control them. "

He then dialed a number abd ordered, " I want the whole event under our surveillance. After we return, I will look at the situation. "

While Thomas was leaving a certain bat was making his way to the source of explosion. Along with this a large number of police cars and fire fighting trucks made their way to deal with the situation at hand.

What Batman noticed and what the police men noticed are two completely different things. This explosion is just the start of chaos which has begun to unfold on Gotham.
