Damn it. I had to clear up the mess caused by this little disciple of mine. What a disgrace I had to endure.

“Revered Teacher, I’m really innocent! She must have misunderstood something! You know the massive cultivation gap between us; if anything, she’s the one who bullies me. How could I ever dare offend her? She wanted to seduce me, but I didn't agree to it. Then she…!” said Wang Ke, feeling wronged.

Chen Tianyuan looked at Wang Ke, knowing how thick-skinned the guy could be; he wasn’t as angry as he looked. His disciple’s actions did lead to a good result; after all, this would make it hard for anyone trying to take advantage of him!

Chen Tianyuan stared at Wang Ke and said, “Humph. I don’t really want to deal with this matter between the two of you, just don’t ever bring such a mess to the sect again! You are my disciple! Please, you may not care about your face, but I do!”

Wang Ke nodded and said, “Worry not, Revered Teacher, please be rest assured that I will hide from Zhang Li'er!”

He didn't argue further, knowing that his Revered Teacher was genuinely caring for him. Wang Ke would never go after people who meant well.

“Right. Make sure you remember that. Oh yes, I also came here to talk about another matter. I wanted to let you know that I’ll be away for a very long time; you must take care of your own safety!” Chen Tianyuan said.

“Me? Safety?” Wang Ke was a little stunned.

“Something like that!” Chen Tianyuan nodded. “But Mo Sanshan assured me that all the people working undercover for the demonic sect were eliminated!”

Wang Ke felt rather unhappy about such claim.

“Also, Mo Sanshan and Murong Luguang set the trap in God Wang Tower to capture Tong An'an. They didn’t keep their promise to you, and I’ve already meted out their punishment. All the virtue merit resulting from the spies they find will belong to you!” Chen Tianyuan explained.

Wang Ke nodded with an unhappy look. “Understood, Revered Teacher. I will guard myself against Tong An'an!”

He then left Sword-study Peak and disappeared into the horizon. Chen Tianyuan was extremely at ease with Wang Ke; after all, that disciple of his was so shameless it would be difficult for anyone to take advantage of him.

Once he was done sending Chen Tianyuan off, Wang Ke muttered with worry, “Oh no. Oh, sh*t… I need to run!”

“Run?” Zhang Zhengdao was a little lost.

“Of course. My Revered Teacher left the sect. Do you really think I’m safe without his backing? My second second senior brother also left for the Dragon Gate Assembly with his people. Wang Ke stared at Zhang Zhengdao and said, “Bullsh*t! Why break the promise if they were self-restrained? They didn’t tell me about their plans to catch Tong An'an. Aren’t they trying to pull me into deeper sh*t?”

“But…!”

“No ‘buts!’ Help me keep a lookout. I’ll make a run for it and return once my Revered Teacher is back,” Wang Ke said.

“Huh, you’re going to leave right now?” Zhang Zhengdao asked in shock.

“Of course! Tong An'an came in and out of the Heavenly Wolf Sect twice. Do you think this place is still safe?” Wang Ke said in disdain.

“But didn’t Mo Sanshan say that all the demonic spies had been dealt with?”

“I don’t believe anything that bast*rd says!” Wang Ke retorted immediately.

Murong Luguang and Mo Sanshan were drinking tea.

“Murong Luguang, are you still angry about Zhang Li'er? Forget about her, there are so many women in the world. Stop thinking about her already; she has a bad temper anyway!” Mo Sanshan comforted Murong Luguang.

“Hall Lord Mo, weren’t you waiting outside God Wang Tower? Where were you? Why would there be a misunderstanding between her and me if you hadn’t disappeared? You should have broken past Zhang Shenxu and entered the room!” Murong Luguang questioned the other, still holding a grudge.

“You can’t blame me. I was indeed keeping watch, but then I was distracted since the Third Parlor Lord appeared, so I went after him!” Mo Sanshan shook his head with a helpless smile.

“And yet, you didn’t catch up to him!” Murong Luguang complained in frustration.

“He’s also an Astral Infant cultivator; I couldn’t do much!” Mo Sanshan replied, smiling bitterly.

Murong Luguang was still showing a black face, though. You couldn’t do a thing, and now Zhang Li'er hates me!

“Although we lost Tong An'an this time around, we caught many demonic spies hiding in our sect. They are much more dangerous than Tong An'an, so it’s still a good harvest. Now you have the task to capture Tong An'an again!” Mo Sanshan tried to console him.

“I can go after Tong An'an again? Won’t things be the same?” Murong Luguang said, annoyed.

The previous time I could use Tong An'an’s cunning as an excuse when I failed to catch him.But what about this time?Wang Ke caught Tong An'an, but now you lost him. You’re feeling proud of yourself because we need to catch him again?

“Think about it. Wang Ke caught Tong An'an twice; wouldn’t he hate Wang Ke’s guts by now? We can continue using Wang Ke as bait to lure him out!” Mo Sanshan said.

“And you think Wang Ke will agree to it?” Murong Luguang asked with a frown.

Mo Sanshan answered, “We can take our time convincing him!”

Little did they know that Wang Ke had already predicted their vicious plans and left the sect to avoid the incoming disaster.
