It was another morning in Orario, another hectic morning for adventurers as they go again, deep venturing in the dungeon.

"So, Miss Eina, what can you tell me about this one?" I asked her, leaning my arms against the counter and gave her a sheet of paper.

"Ah, so you got it from the board right there?" She motioned her finger towards the wooden board that takes place on the wall, at this I nodded.

"How can I forgot to tell you about that." She sighed in disappointment, "Well, to put it simply that is the quest board." I nodded at her explanation.

"There are a few boards lined up, each on its category. Respectively from the far left, we've gathering quest, it was requested to, of course, gather things whether it is in the dungeon or outside. Next, we've extermination quest, this usually requested from outside the city or regularly put by the guild. adventurers usually combine both of these quests to maximize their profits."

She wiped a lock of hair that sticking out to the side, and fixing the glasses. "The last one, usually it just odd requests that don't fit the two categories, there's also an emergency request that provides a high-benefit reward for unknown danger."

I pursed my finger, I see. The last section seems a mix-matched between everything and odd job. Mostly consisted of, please investigate…, please retrieve a lost heirloom somewhere inside…, please help clean… Hmm, why I get some sense of Déjà vu.

I shrugged myself, "So, what can you tell Dro'zah about this quest miss Eina?"

"Hmm, this is just an ordinary extermination quest… the place is a village in the north. Looks like this was posted about two weeks ago."

"That long? Nobody takes it?"

Eina sighed once more, "Yes, unfortunately, that will be the case. Since most of the time, these villages barely scraping by, and therefore the rewards are low. Most of the adventurers are not willing to waste their time traveling back and forth just to take some scrap of Valis."

Figure so, adventurers are not some kind of hero, after all. No matter how glorious the tale may be, basically, most of the average is just monster core miner.

"Well, there's also the occasional adventurers that will travel outside and take these quests as a side objective."

I saw the paper once again.

Goblin has terrorized a village in the north. Multiple children and livestock have reportedly lost. Rewards, 10.000 Valis.

I can understand somewhat from the point of these adventurers. While monster outside the labyrinth is terribly weakened, they do breed more especially if it's the cannon-fodder type monster such as goblin.

Since the labyrinth followed a set of rules of spawning, most of the newbie at the beginning of the floors won't be overwhelmed by the amount of spawn as long as they cautious enough. This is not the case outside, the monster will still swarm in the recesses of unexplored forests and mountains. They are not bound by the petty rules of the dungeon, and will still mindlessly terrorized weak mortals. Or at least, that is my hypothesis.

In conclusion, it's not worth the risk unless you are high-class adventurers that have the perk to be high and mighty. Unfortunately, something like this is not worth the time unless they're a good Samaritan that willing to help with low to no cost at all.

I fixed the hem of my hood, making it sure to not be blown by the morning wind. There must be another repercussion, most of these villages are poor and offering the most they can have is still nerve-wracking for any adventures no matter how good or bad they are. It still about moral choices, after all.

Live smart, live ignorantly.

You chose their life, or you chose your own.

I stared at the piece of paper I took from Eina. Well, I don't care about all of that, to be honest. All I know this will become a good opportunity.

To see the world that is.

I focused my attention again, on the crowded streets.

*Break*

"Eeeeh? Going outside, are you serious?" Shouted the mistress of death.

I pinched my nose, swaying the paper in my hand to make a point. "Yes, you're not hearing Dro'zah properly. We will be going outside."

"But, why?"

I shrugged nonchalantly. It's been three days I've spelunking deep inside the dungeon, so far, I have reached the 10th floor. Other than that, we're currently at the house Fels gave us on the surface. It was a nice two-story house. Most of the room has been furnished, and the first floor can be converted to a shop. A matter that I will do later.

"Dro'zah is just bored seeing the dungeon wall again, and again. What's an adventurer without the word venturing?"

Well, most of it just a wanderl.u.s.t. A brand and new world, and I will just confine myself in a single hole and city? Screw that, I bet there's a lot of interesting things happening outside. The world is moving, and it is not revolving around Orario and the Labyrinth.

"Anyway, you want to see Gekai right? And this could become a good chance to train your arcane arts."

Ah, the goddess requested me to teach her in the way of the magic. Not, like I know how to teach either. Dragonborn memories do not cover that. Unless you're giving a spell tome count as teaching that is.

Nevertheless, it's a good prospect to know whether I can impart the inhabitant of this world with Tamrielic magic. It was hard at first since I have no idea whether the goddess had a Magicka pool since they use divine energy instead.

In the end, it just my wrong guess. The goddess has separate Magicka reserves other than her divine energy. The next struggles would be to teach her, I try to give her spell-tome which is surprising as something like that can be regarded as precious and rare commodity here. When in Tamriel, these tomes can be found almost in every corner of the land like some common hazard.

Anyway, she can get the knowledge contained within the tome just fine, the problem is how she practices it. It was clumsy at best, as she barely can lit a candle with the basic flame spell. The most I can do is to guide her and teach how the magic works in the lore or at least, the fantasy book I read.

Still, I will also teach her about potion brewing and enchanting. Two matters that I will be planning to teach when we're traveling outside.

"Sigh, fine. You're right."

The goddess seems convinced of my words, and I stood up from my seat.

"Excellent, pack your thing and we will be going this afternoon."

"Wait, don't you have the gate?"

I waved my hand cheekily, "People will be bound to notice if we're going anywhere without a sort of baggage. And Dro'zah will place some security ward and runes in the home while you're packing."

"Wait a minute, how about the guide?"

"Ah, don't worry about that, Dro'zah has purchased some of the region maps."

I waved at her as I open the door, and going to the entrance of the sewer in the back.
