Is It Wrong To Be A Khajiit In A Dungeon

Chapter 8 - The Loki Familia Reports

"How's the search?"

Asked Finn, the captain of the famous Loki Familia, one of the strongest Familia in Orario. In recent days, they have covertly searched the entire city much to the amus.e.m.e.nt of the god that piqued in the curiosity of what's happening.

"There's no result, we've deployed sentry in every corner but no news other than a few rumors of the incident."

Riveria shook her head, inwardly sighing why they still have done this seemingly futile endeavor. The incident happened a few days ago when they coincidentally hear a rather loud shriek behind an alley while making a way to the Hostess Pub.

It, the creature's eyes shone brightly between the darkness. Unflinching when 4 high-class adventures of Loki Familia chase the tail, turning the event into butterfly chasing throughout half of the city.

"While it is good to ascertain what we're dealing with is a threat, there's no need such exertion to chase a shadow."

"You right, Gareth."

Finn sighed, ruffling the back of his hair then turning to the Familia member presented in his office.

"Before we close the search, I wanted a few reports to be archived. Keep everyone guards open, there's no telling when it will resurface again."

"What possibly this thing can make a threat to us, anyway, all I see is just some savage beast that needs to learn its place."

Riveria turned right to her direction, "Bete, you've seen that ability before, right?"

"Yes! What's the big deal of it? Maybe just some kind of unique skill."

"Wow, not expected… Bete to draw some logical points and conclusions. I wonder if the world's end tomorrow."

"Shut up! You shitty Amazonian!"

Finn ignored the two bickerings, favoring the still rational members, "Well, to be said it wore leather armor, pretty worn by the looks of it. And that instant magic… what again?"

"Wulnakey?"

"Yes, that's one. Any progress to identify the magic used, Riveria?"

"While no or fast chanting magic skills exist, it only tied to each exclusive spell. Such as Bell magic displayed below the dungeon. I've never heard such language, perhaps it was because of a less developed local chord. It used three Syllables to form energy, but interestingly it was like built-up the magic inside its throat."

The magic displayed was near-instantaneous much the same with the effect of it, granting a near-instant movement from one point to the other.

"Detail, detail, spare me the detail."

Nevertheless, the Alf didn't like her explanation interrupted as the bottom of her staff stab the wolf's feet.

"In the end, it's still unknown but we can conclude that is a unique skill or magic."

"Strong…" Everyone turned to the silent member all this time, the golden hair was unmistakably Ais Wallenstein. "There's no fear in its eyes, only wisdom and strength concealed, I felt… small."

"Aye, but is there such a monster inside the dungeon?" Gareth nodded at Ais, while the mutters of the girl were perhaps will be mistaken as gibberish by others, he could already tell what she meant by that.

"No, we have some cat-type monsters like the Abyss cat and the bipedal-humanoid Night watcher in deep floors. But they have black fur, often enough exploiting the color to ambush unprepared adventurers. There's a possibility that is an enhanced species, displayed by the cunning intelligence and the unique white color."

"All right, we've got an unknown monster that is smart enough to disguise as a human, had an unknown ability, capable to dodge every snipe and attempt to outrun from high-level adventurers, let's end this search. Hopefully, the monster is twice as smart to not mess with us again"

Oh, how he'll wish to not said that last words.
