I´m The School Beauty´s Bodyguard!

Chapter 2 - Special mission

The young man smiled. "How cold you are, can't I come and see my younger brother?"

"You know I'm in the middle of a mission." Theo replied with his icy tone.

"Was your mission to kill the man who hired you?"

"He tried to trick me with the money, I had to kill him."

The older brother smiled with difficulty.

"You could have forced him to pay you more money."

"I don't care about money."

Kreios was confused, didn't he just say he killed him because he didn't give him all the money?

"I don't understand you, Theo."

"I don't care about money, but I can't stand being lied to."

Sigh, really indecipherable. Kreios didn't know what to do with this younger brother of his.

Broom!

Theo started the car and got out of the parking lot. Their eyes received the beauty of the dark night and the luminous lights of the city.

Kreios looked at his brother from time to time, until he couldn't stand it anymore.

"Aren't you going to take off that crow mask?" Kreios sounded annoyed.

Theo looked at Kreios from the corner of his eye and then looked at himself in the mirror of the car.

"I had forgotten."

Theo then took off his mask and threw it at the back of the car. Now his face was uncovered, and his facial features could be seen. Before, with the mask covering part of his face, you could see his light blue eyes and dark black hair. Now, with his face completely uncovered, one could guess more or less the age of the assassin.

Theo, the cold-blooded assassin who had taken the lives of his contractors just minutes ago, didn't look more than 18!

"Much better."

"What are you doing here?"

Now that Theo had gotten rid of his mask, his voice had stopped sounding distorted. Now the voice of a young boy could be heard clearly, even though it was still distant and cold.

Theo knew that for Kreios to appear while he was on a mission, something extraordinary must have happened. And he was not mistaken, Kreios looked at Theo, and his soft smile disappeared from his face.

"Father wants to see you."

Theo frowned slightly.

"What does that stingy old man want now."

"Don't talk like that about father." Kreios hit Theo in the head.

"It's not like I told a lie, even the old man admits it."

Kreios was stunned for a moment before bursting into laughter.

"Hahaha, you're right. Father doesn't even hide that he's a cheapskate, why should he bother me if you call him that?"

"Let's get back to the subject. I don't know why father wants to see you, but it seems to have something to do with a special mission."

"Special mission? "A glint of interest in Theo's eyes.

Kreios grinned, this younger brother of his was only interested in missions.

"Let's go with the old man."

About ten minutes later, Theo and Kreios left the city and headed for a small village about 20 km away.

The village was quite poor, the houses were small, and many had holes in the walls and ceilings, some even lacked a door. Of all these houses, Theo parked the car in front of the most dilapidated house in the whole village.

One of the sidewalls of the house was practically collapsed, there were no doors or windows, and the roof was almost non-existent.

"This old man has so much money, and he's still living in this pigsty," Theo said.

"Haha, you have to accept it. It's impossible to move the old man from here. Come on, let's go in." Kreios patted Theo's shoulder and entered the house. Theo followed quickly.

"Father, I have brought Theo." Kreios called the old man.

A voice came from inside the house. "I'm in my room."

Kreios looked at Theo, and they both nodded. Before entering the last room, they heard the old man's voice.

"197, 198, 199, 200. Good! 200 cents, I already have 2 euros!"

Kreios almost fell to the ground when he heard his father say, how could someone be so cheap?

Theo didn't overthink it and went into the room. He threw the suitcase at his father.

"Here's the mission money, five million euros, remember to give it to the teacher."

Theo looked at the man sitting on the bed, counting pennies. It was difficult to guess his age, as his hair was white, but his face lacked wrinkles, but he gave the air of an old person. The only thing you could see was that unlike Kreios and Theo, the features of the old man were oriental.

"Five million? Wasn't that ten?" The man frowned.

"That Frank wanted to deceive me and only pay me five million," Theo told him.

The man nodded as if he understood something. He put both palms together.

"Rest in peace, poor soul who has decided to lie to this demon."

After praying a little prayer for Frank, the man refocused his attention on his two sons.

"Thank you for bringing your brother, Kreios. I wonder what year would come if I were to call him."

Kreios waved his hand, indicating it was nothing.

"Old man, tell me the mission." Theo interrupted.

The man, with a blank expression, looked at Theo without knowing what to say.

"Let me give you your reward for this mission."

The old man looked under the bed mattress. Old Lin took out a package carefully wrapped in old and worn fabrics, he handled the article with great care. With the same care, he pulled out a wrinkled green bill.

"Here's five euros for dinner."

Theo took the note without hesitation and put it in his pocket.

"I just won five million euros and you barely give me five euros, that's unfair."

Theo complained, but his face was still inexpressive and did not seem to want to pursue the matter.

"Be glad you even have money to complain. You think making money is so easy, don't you?" asked old Lin. "If you don't want it, give it back to me, it's been a while since I've eaten in a kebab."

Kreios watched this exchange with his eyes wide open. He really wanted to hit his father, but he knew he was going to be defeated easily. Old Lin had educated them and taught their skills for over fifteen years. Now the two brothers were experts in both martial arts and academics, which is why they treated him like a father.

This was their father, counting one-cent coins and giving five euros in exchange for five million euros. The thought of hitting his father crossed his mind again.

However, Kreios did not know much. He only knew that the old man had never used up his full capacity even when facing the two brothers. He would always adjust his level to the same as Kreios and Theo and destroy them every time they had a little breakthrough.

Theo approached the old man and pulled the hairs from his white beard.

"Old man, the mission. Tell me about the mission."

The old man glanced at Theo and then smiled mysteriously.

"You have trained very hard over the years, and I think it's time for the biggest mission, I think." Old Lin took his hand away from Theo, who was playing with his beard and leaned against the wall, looking at the ceiling. "Do this mission well, and you'll be ready for anything that confronts you in life."

"You're not kidding, are you?"

"Tch, don't you trust your father?"

Theo shrugged.

"When have I ever lied to you?" Barked old Lin, "Are you going or not? Maybe I should send Kreios."

"No, I will! Of course, I will!" Theo released without hesitation. He glanced threateningly at Kreios, warning him not to take the mission.

"Hmm... All right, go then. You are going to travel to Sky city, where there is a company called Shanshui Industries. You have to look for Xiao Ming, and he will tell you the rest." A mischievous smile crossed his lips, barely perceptible. "But you'd better consider this carefully... You can't retire once you've accepted it."

"Now, you're the one who doubts me, old man?" Theo didn't care about the danger. He wasn't an aspiring hero or anything like that. He just thought that if he died on a mission, it was because of his lack of skill. And he wasn't worried about dying; after all, he had always dreamed of dying on a mission.

"Ah, my little Theodosius... I raised you for fifteen years. I have fed you, given you water, bought you a computer..." The old man stopped when he realized Theo's response was not as expected. But on second thought, I wouldn't be Theo if I didn't respond like that.

"You're right, you raised me... until I was used to reason! Since then, I have had to live for myself. At least my older brother made my meals, but I had to create T-shirts, pants, socks... Even u.n.d.e.r.w.e.a.r for the old neighbors! And all that money is yours, you f.u.c.k.i.n.g old man."

"I know what you do at night with your hand and your computer," said old Lin with a blinking look, but he realized Theo's reaction was not what he expected.

Instead, it was Kreios who blushed at his father's words.

Cough, Cough!

"I think I have things to do at home, I'm leaving."

Theo and old Lin both had no expression on their faces as they watched Kreios leave.

"How evil, old man."

"Get out of here!"

And so, Theo's journey began.
