Jack Schnee [RWBY]

Chapter 13 - Magic book?

After our adventure in the book, I made sure that Eve didn't let anyone know about my second semblance. I don't know how people will take it since its common knowledge that people have only one semblance. It's not that I don't trust my teammates but they would be better off not knowing especially since I don't plan on using it if possible. After one of my classes, I was called to Ozpin's office. This would be the first time seeing him since the ceremony where he made my team name JOKE. I entered his office and saw him sitting alone at his desk.

Ozpin: Please come in. We have very important things to discuss.

Jack: Why have you called for me so suddenly? Is everything okay?

Ozpin: Well it's about last night. Others may not have noticed but I could tell that you have a grimoire in your possession.

Jack: It almost seems that nothing escapes your notice. You would be correct in that assumption, however; I didn't know it was a grimoire until I opened it.

Ozpin: Grimoires are powerful tools for good and evil. Using one grimoire alone on the battlefield could easily sway the battle in your favor or in certain situations against you. Make sure that you're using it for the right reasons. The fact that you have such a powerful artifact can't leave this room.

Jack: Of course, but the only people who know so far are myself and Eve. I'm curious though as to who would be able to sense the book's presence.

Ozpin: That depends on the person but most people wouldn't be able to unless they have a tracking semblance or have come into contact with one before.

Jack: Then how come you can sense it?

Ozpin: I have my ways of course but no normal person could do this.

Jack: I see. Actually, since I have such a dangerous tool, then can I have my own room to prevent people from coming into contact with it as often.

Ozpin: Alright, I'll arrange something but you'll need to keep up your end of the bargain. Not even your team can know about the book. It's that important.

Jack: Okay.

I leave the room and head back to class. Nothing eventful happened until I ran into Blake walking alone down the hall. No one else was around, so I took the initiative to talk to her.

Jack: Hey. What's up?

Blake: Nothing much. What did you get called to Ozpin's office for?

Jack: Well, it was about me sneaking in something I shouldn't have.

Blake: Like what?

Jack: My charming good looks.

Blake: You're not Olga so that's not a valid excuse.

Jack: It was just a joke, no need to get so serious. Speaking of serious topics, when are you going to tell your team that your a Faunus.

Blake: How did you know about that?

Jack: I pay attention to my sister's teammates. Is that strange?

Blake: I guess not. I haven't told them yet and I'm not sure when I'm going to be ready to do that.

Jack: That makes sense, but the longer you hold it the harder it is to tell. Even if you do tell them I'm sure they'll accept you regardless. Weiss may be a little harsh with you at first but she'll come around.

Blake: Maybe.

Jack: If you need someone there to give you the extra push, then count me in.

Blake: You seem a little different than usual today.

Jack: I know that things aren't what they seem. I've only got that message reinforced into my head these last few days.

Blake: Okay. Well, I'll see you around.

I walk away from Blake and head back to the dorms until I spot Jaune hitting on my sister with the phrase, "Snow Angel". I quickly pull Jaune away to give him some much-needed advice about my sister. I tried to explain that he wasn't Weiss's type and that he should look for another person to be with. Instead of thinking about someone else, he just asked me what her type was. Since I know how badly things end up trying to be someone your not goes, I refuse to tell him what her type is. Not only that but I tell him that maybe he should focus on his teammates instead. Jaune takes it as if he needs to be a better leader instead of trying to be with Pyrrha like I wanted him too.
