Jack Schnee [RWBY]

Originally, I was going to give the armor to Pyrrha since she gets stabbed in the c.h.e.s.t by Cinder, but I think that giving it to her now wouldn't accomplish much other than making her suspicious of my actions. I decided to hold onto it for now and transform it into an undershirt. I get a call on my scroll from an old acquiescence of mine who tells me that he needs me to do something for him for the next few days. The next couple of days we have off, so I decided to listen to the details of the request. I make my way through a series of boring classes where I see Jaune trying to hit on my sister again.

Jaune: So Weiss, you know uh, I was thinking that after this, maybe we could go grab a bite to eat?

And uh, you know well I-I've got two tickets to that new spy movie if you want to make the trip to Vale. We could also just hang out instead.

Weiss ignores all of Jaune's attempts to ask her out and leaves when class is over. I go over to him after everything done.

Jake: I think we both know that Weiss isn't going to date you and you should focus on other fish in the sea.

Jaune: Easy for you to say when your dating a cool girl already.

Jack: What are you talking about?

Jaune: Penny. The girl you brought to the restaurant with you.

Jack: She's not my girlfriend, we're just friends.

Jaune: Seemed more like you were setting up a double date.

Jack: I just met her on the way and invited her.

Jaune: You make it sound so easy. I'm doing that with Weiss, but she won't say yes.

Jack: Okay. Why don't you join me on a job?

Jaune: A job?

Jack: Yeah, I'm going to do some work for an old acquaintance of mine. Besides, this is good practice for you.

Jaune: How long is it going to take?

Jack: The weekend should suffice.

Jaune: Are you bringing anyone else along?

Jack: I was going to ask Kim and Prryha to come with us, but I haven't asked them yet.

Jaune: Fine. Let me get my gear.

While Jaune was going to get his gear, I asked Prryha and Kim if they wanted to come along for the trip. Kim and Prryha both agreed to come with me and Jaune without any issues. We met up and walked to the train station. While we walked we talked about how the situation hasn't changed much even after Torchwich was captured. It must be because Dark Phantom took over the operation in Torchwich's place. Which brings us to the problem of stopping him, it's going to be impossible to catch him unless we know his true identity. After we arrived and the train started moving did they finally ask who contacted me.

Jack: Well, one time when I was out defeating Grimm, I met this kid who asked me if he could become a huntsman and become as strong as me. I told him that he could surpass me if he works hard enough and gave him my scroll number in case he needed anything.

Kim: How old is he?

Jack: He should be around 10 years old now.

Prryha: What happened when you met him the first time?

Jack: Well, his town was going to be attacked by Grimm since everybody was worried about a murder that happened two years ago. Somebody had been killed and nobody was able to find out who did it. Everyone started conducted crazy theories of a monster that came in and killed him before running away. Their fear and anxiety attracted the Grimm to come over. I and a few others came in to handle the situation and fended off the Grimm. However, we never found out who killed the man in the first place to start the commotion.

Kim: Did the guy have any enemies that might've wanted him dead?

Jack: We heard that he didn't have any problems at work or with his neighbors, but I did hear he treated his family poorly.

Jaune: Isn't it possible that one of them killed him in anger or retaliation.

Jack: I thought so too, but none of the children or the wife would have had the strength to take on the man since he had a pretty powerful semblance.

Prryha: What was his semblance?

Jack: The ability to multiply himself into four people.

We eventually made it to the town where we met Arnold (the acquaintance) and he told everyone that a pack of pretty powerful Grimm is heading over to the town. He explained that just like two years ago, the town is in a state of panic and fear. I asked him if another murder occurred but he shook his head and told me that the person who died two years ago suddenly appeared in town. We asked around town and they say that his appearances are random, but he's mostly seen around his family members. Kim and I left the town on my Nevermore to see what kind of Grimm was heading our way. After riding on my Nevermore for a while, we found that there was a ton of Grimm heading to the town. It was an army that I felt that the four of us couldn't handle by ourselves. Maybe I could keep fighting all night, but the others didn't have the devour ability to replenish any of the aura they lose. I couldn't just give them infinite amounts of aura without exposing my secret. Not to mention if their stamina could handle fighting against so many Grimm. Kim and I make it back into town and call for professional huntsmen to combat against this army. Thankfully, some professional huntsmen would be able to come to support us, but I have no idea who's coming. I meet up with Jaune and Prryha and tell them about the situation on our end. They also tell us that the person who's been resurrected has memories that only the real one would know. Furthermore, they actually can touch him and isn't an elaborate illusion of some kind. We continue discussing all the information the four of us gathered until I decided that before we go any further we should go visit the family in question.
