Chapter 47 - Talking. Fighting. Socializing.

I make my way over to where Winter was stationed. I pass a bunch of guards and went through a couple of security measures to meet with my sister. It took longer than I thought it would but eventually, I met with Winter.

Jack: Hey. How's it going?

Winter: FIne.What do I owe this visit?

Jack: Actually, I had a question for you. Did you see my last match in the tournament?

Winter: No, I didn't but I heard you won so what's the issue?

Jack: To be honest, my summon suddenly started glowing red before disappearing. I was wondering if anything similar happened to you or your summons before.

Winter: No, but I heard that if you try to summon a Grimm from our semblance that is too strong it has the possibility of breaking free and wreaking havoc.

Jack: That shouldn't be the case. I've been using Bagels for a long time and he never showed any signs of breaking free before.

Winter: Bagels?

Jack: Its what I named my Gorilla Grimm.

Winter: You named them. They're not pets.

Jack: Of course not but Bagels a bit special. He's the only one I named anyway.

Winter: Well, we should go to the training grounds to test out my theory.

Jack: What happens if it breaks free from my control?

Winter: I don't know the effects but I assume it would turn into a regular Grimm and start attacking people. As for the effects it would have on your health, I've heard that you'll be unable to summon anything for 24 hours and will feel a little weak from the event.

Jack: So if it breaks free then you'll handle it.

Winter: Yeah.

Jack: I need to be at full power especially for what's going on right now.

Winter: Don't worry about the tournament too much, I'm sure you'll do great.

Jack: Yeah, the tournament.

We make it to training grounds and thankfully no one was around to bother us. I do what I usually do to summon Bagels and the red light appeared again. It was a small ball at first but it was rapidly expanding more and more until I realized that this it's going to explode. I grab Winter and start running full speed in the opposite direction until a large explosion rang out behind us as we were blown away even further. I crashed into a tree while Winter was pushed into some bushes. I looked up to see a large crater in the middle of the field but I don't see Bagels anywhere. I summoned him because I could feel the moment when he was brought into the world but after that nothing.

I can't feel Bagels anymore. I can't summon him. I can't unsummon him either. Does that mean that he broke free but I don't see a rampaging Gorilla Grimm anywhere either? Not to mention that I don't feel that weak either. What the heck happened? I look over to Winter getting up and cleaning herself off. She looks a little upset not that I blame her when a giant explosion suddenly appeared in front of our faces.

Winter: Where's the Grimm? What happened?

I shrug my shoulders.

Jack: If I knew what was happening, then I wouldn't need your help.

Winter: Is it dead?

Jack: I don't know.

Winter: I guess we have to look around the area to see if anyone saw any Grimm.

Jack: Alright, you check the surrounding area. I'll see if it went deeper into the training grounds.

I began my search for Bagels to no avail. There was no sign of wanton destruction anywhere and I didn't find any gorilla tracks either. I found some regular footprints but maybe someone was training deeper in. I follow the tracks until I met up with Amber training by herself. I talked to her about Bagels but she didn't see any Grimm anywhere since she started her training. I look for a little bit longer finding absolutely nothing. I call Winter and she was also getting nothing. Is Bagels gone

???? POV

What's this? Where am I? I feel different. My hands have shrunk. My legs too. I think my whole body is different now. Wow. I wonder where's the master. I've never been summoned when he wasn't around. I touch myself and feel a cloth covering my body. Where did this come from? It's a little uncomfortable but everybody that looks like master wears stuff like this. I wander around for a while until I smelled some food and headed toward the direction of the scent.

I find many people and various stalls full of food. I look toward one stall that had a bunch of meat on a stick. I grab a bunch of them and start eating while the person next to the food brought a hand out toward me. What's this? Why is his hand reaching out to me? Wait. I think I know this. I saw the master doing something like this before. I slap the hand. I think I got that right. I take another bite out of the juicy meat while the guy seems to be turning into a shade of red. Is he okay? The girl next to me told me that I need to pay for it using money. Money? What's that? Can I eat that too? I ask the girl these questions and both the girl and the man behind the meat are speechless. They ask me who's my guardian. I guess they mean master but I have no idea where he is. They ask me what's his name and I reply, what's a name. The girl facepalms and walks away. The man behind me looks defeated as I eat the rest of the juicy meat. I walk away from the stall and keep walking until I found my buddy. I ran toward him and punched him in the face. He was sent flying but managed to land on his feet. Everybody around started turning red and pointing at me asking why.

???: Its buddy. We must fight.

Nora: Fight. Why? Are you a love rival or something

????: What's love?

Ren: Why did you punch Jaune?

???: Love to fight. We fight all the time. Fun. Usually, win but harder lately.

Pyrrha: Fight?

Jaune: Bagels?

Bagels: That's what the master calls me.

Jaune: How are you a human? Weren't you a Grimm before?

Bagels: I don't know. Let's fight.

Jaune: Not right now. We need to find Jack.

A man who's drunk stumbles toward Bagels.
