Journey To The True Martial World

Chapter 23 - Asuma Sensei

A week had past since the graduation. The rookie Genin teams had started their D rank missions, while under the guidance of their Jonin Team leaders. The medical Genin received instruction at the Hospital during that time. Karin, with her healing bite Kekkei Genkei and Seiichi, with his previous medical experience and adept understanding of the human body. Were the stars of the rookie medical ninja.

"Lady Tsunade, when are you going to start teaching us the real stuff? The faster we learn about the healing and combat applications of medical ninjutsu, the sooner we can return to our teams and lend Support" Seiichi asked

The thing about Seiichi and his people. Although they constantly trained and were far above their Genin counter parts. Besides Danzo, Sarutobi, and Might Guy, no one ever really paid attention. Seiichi had enforced using academy time focus on learning and fundamentals like ninja tools, espionage, basic combat form, and so on. He never really had the intention to hide their skills, it just turned out that way. Academy was a time to recoup. And after a day of learning, Seiichi and his group would go all out until sundown. Because of that. In the eyes of the village, they were still Rookie Genin.

"I'll teach you more medical ninjutsu when you can walk on water. And I'll send you back to your team, when I feel your ready to handle the pressures of battle and heal you comrades without choking up" Tsunade replied

Seiichi couldn't help but sneer on the inside. Tsunade had no right to talk about people choking up.

"Yes, Lady Tsunade"

More weeks went by and then a month. Seiichi had proven his skill in chakra control and Tsunade had started his training to become a medical ninja of her caliber. Karin and Kaiya were told to sit back so that Seiichi could peruse Tsunade on his own. It allowed him a greater chance of learning the creation rebirth techniques. Promising to teach them everything he learned from Tsunade the two girls fell back and allowed Seiichi to do as he pleased.

It was around June 1st when Karin was pulled from her medical training to join team 7. "Karin, Hold back and tell Naruto to not go overboard, there's two more people on your squad and they need to learn gain experience as well"

Karin frowned at Seiichi "Doesn't the Uchiha have the Sharingan?"

"Yes, but he's scared of it. He needs to be pushed to his limit again to active it. I highly doubt he's used it since his clans' massacre. And as for that Sakura girl, she's going to take quite some time to blossom. Let her be. "

"Seiichi? Are you hiding something that could get my brother killed?"

"No, but everyone thinks he's still clueless about the Kyuubi, your mother made sure to sign a contract with the Hokage, agreeing not to tell him" Karin showed a confused face and Seiichi smiled " I didn't tell him, he found out during meditation. I swear. Just tell him to keep his Kyuubi chakra from leaking. And tell him to follow Kakashi Sensei's orders"

Karin nodded her head in understanding, she knew that Seiichi rarely made a mistake. But Naruto was her brother. And she would always lay waste to anything that came his way. Extremely overprotective she was. If Seiichi wasn't around, Karin would have laid waste to most of the village if given the opportunity. Because of how Naruto spent his early years, Karin never saw herself as true citizen of the hidden leaf. Being a citizen of the hidden leaf meant being apart of the community that tormented her helpless little brother for years. The thought made her blood boil.

Watching Karin take off to meet Team 7, Seiichi stood in front of the hospital thinking of all the things that were destined to unfold. In a way, Seiichi was like a human version of Zetsu. Playing the long game, alone, and willing to watch the world burn to see his plans come to fruition.

'This time, the shinobi world has a new game master...' Seiichi was entirely committed to staying the course no matter what connections he forged with the people of the Naruto verse. 'If they still stand at the end. Then they are deserving.' he thoughts were soon interrupted by a familiar voice.

"Don't look so neglected, kid. It's time for your first mission as well. Be at the front gate at sunrise" A voice spoke out from behind Seiichi.

With a smile on his face, Seiichi turned around "Asuma-Sensei, I thought you had forgotten about me. But, then again, your father wouldn't allow that, now would he?"

Asuma chuckled and threw his finished cigarette on the ground and began to fish for another one. Reaching into his back pocket, Seiichi threw a fresh pack to Asuma.

Asuma caught them and inspected the pack with a satisfied smile, "Haha attention to detail, good. The Hokage can be a little paranoid, I just have one question. Why pull all of your clansmen from Ninja duty?" Asuma light his new cigarette and blew a cloud of smoke.

"Expansion, Restaurant first, then shipping company. In the next 30 years, the world will be a more civilized place. What would you do if you led a shinobi clan that was doomed to become a relic of the past?"

Asuma's face showed intrigue "Do you believe the shinobi world will remain peaceful enough to see such progress?"

Seiichi took a deep breath, "Asuma Sensei, as hidden leaf shinobi, don't we fight to protect this peace. By no means am I naive. But I believe, if we hold out long enough, the other nations will see the error of their ways in our success. And hopefully it will give birth to an Era of unimaginable peace. Or the destruction of Konoha, could be the spark of the fourth Shinobi war. Only time will tale"

'This kid, a visionary beyond the scope of the next mission, that's why his action seem suspicious. The old man has just spent to much time in war, even peaceful times are hard for him to enjoy' Asuma thought to himself as he listened to Seiichi speak.

"If peace is what you want, kid. I'll do by best to help you protect it. " Asuma spoke his last words with a smirk, then flickered away.
