Keep Calm And Follow The Leader

We spend the rest of the day and the following 2 days making our plants for the capital. Though I say 'we', it is more accurate to say that it was Odon spend 2 days telling me his plans. The overall idea is that as long as he can get to the library or I can borrow books, I will be the one studying in the academic. The other one will use his skill to look for 2 types of individuals one that can allow us to make money and one that is our teammate.

I'm not sure how we will pick the first type of peoples, I meant if money was so easy to make for them, why would these peoples work for us? But Odon insisted that one mans trash is another treasure. And have high hopes that his previous live memories will allow him to pick this 'trash people' and made then in gold mines. I really hope that I'm the one going to classes, the more business ideas he explains to me, the less I understand, I hope that academic classes can help me understand it. Albeit I don't have high hopes that they will help at all.

The second type of peoples is easier to find, and my skill will be really helpful. Is about young kids about our aye or jogger. Who doesn't have parents or are bullied by then, we will become their support. This in other to form a strong bond. Ones we are close enough we can assign them important missions that usually would be done by us. I got the feeling that he did the same to me.

Suddenly my mother calls me "Blisse, are you ready for your coming of age? is it true that you will stay in the capital for 4 years?"

Looks like my father told mother about it, I use to be very close to mother but since I saw her secret is really hard for me to talk to her. Is hard for me to accept that my lovely mother has kill 5 babies that should be my sisters. And every time I see her I remember it. Besides the fact that I can't look at her anymore I had stopped calling her mon and start calling her mother. maybe I just want to build some distance between us.

The next day the examinator from the capital arrive. I'm not sure how Odon manage to lie after all his skill is really good, well maybe he saw the weak point on the examinator ability. As for me, he shows great interest on my skill, but after finding out that I can't tell anyone and after using multiples methods he still couldn't get the information front me, he got disappointed, same did my mother.

In the end, I was requested to go to the capital for a more detailed test. Since we were going anyway we are more than happy to go with the escort of a noble. We will be walking/running on the journey anyway since nobody will carry us, but with 1 white coin in our pocket, it will be a lot safer to have company.

Usually, the examinator will spend the night in the village, but our village is so small that he insisted on living the same day. Odon and I were running everywhere picking our stuff. When leaving home my father give me 1 gold coin, I know that it is a lot of money for him, so I was moved. when leaving home I hear my mother shouting to my father to trying to find out how he had that money. I hope she stopped already, so I can keep at less some good memories.

When living the village door I saw the chief and few of his families members. A cold sweat runs over my spine. I finally understood why he insisted on making us paid 10 times the price. They were thinking of robbing us as soon as we leave the village. I give thanks to the noble inside my head.

And like that, we start our adventure with 106 gold coins (5 front Odon family), A bed sheet, 3 days worth of dried bread and a change of clothes.
