Killer Crown

29 Chapter 29: Nothing

Kaz had fallen asleep as soon as we finished. Her hand is in between her thighs. I watch as her chest rises slowly and then falls.

'What did I do to deserve you woman?'

I examine all of her perfect features.

Her long, curly hair. Her gorgeous brown skin. Her thick lips and thighs. Her perfect ass. All the way down to her cute toes.

"You are the definition of perfect, Kazmaria."

I say to her softly.

I don't want to wake her, so I carefully get out of bed and pull on a pair of shorts and head downstairs.

I'm greeted by Carlos sitting on the couch with a beer on one hand and a drink in the other.

"It's not too early for one of those?"

I motion towards the drink.

"Pft, it ain't never too early."

I walk into the kitchen and skim through the fridge,

"Making breakfast?"

"Nah, there's nothing in here but Bud Lights and 40's."

He laughs,

"All I need to live."

"Ironic you say that because alcohol can kill you."

I grab the car keys off the counter.

"I'll be back soon. If Kaz wakes up tell her to call me."

"She knows how to work a phone?"

"Why wouldn't she?"

He looks at me as if i'm dumb.

"Ohhh, no electronics. I forgot. Guess i'll be stopping by the phone store as well."

***

"So you just want to add another person to your current plan?"

"Yeah, but she needs a new phone."

"Um, ok,"

The nerdy looking i.t. guy opens up the glass case and pulls out the latest model.

"Something like this?"

"Perfect, i'll take two."

***

"Listen, all i'm saying is that since I went out and brought groceries, you should help unload them."

"Yeah, I guess. But-"

"Ah, no but's. Just go get them. I promise that i'll cook once everything's put away."

"Siempre quieres que haga algo"

(You always want me to do something,)

He mumbles under his breathe as he heads for the door,

"Pero Dios no te permita ayudar!"

(But God forbid you to help!)

"What was that Carlos?!"

"I said God bless your heart for getting food...pendejo."

"I heard that!"

As he leaves to go get the food, Kaz walks down the stairs; a sleepy look still on her face.

"Good morning beautiful,"

She stops at the bottom of the stairs and reaches for me.

I walk over to her and pick her up.

"I got you something."

She lies her head on my shoulder,

"Is it food?"

"Ha, well yeah but I got something else too."

I sit her down on the table top and pull out the new phone.

"This is for me?"

She happily grabs the phone from my hand and looks at it.

"Wow, Ricky! This is so cool."

"I'll help you set it up later, but right now I want to cook for you."

"And me!"

I roll my eyes,

"And Carlos."

She wraps her legs around my waist instantly getting rid of what little space separated us before.

"You make me happy Ricky and that's something i'd never thought i'd be able to say honestly."

She holds on to my neck and softly exhales. Her breathe is moist against my skin; damn, I think i'm into it.

"Why Ricky? Why do you treat me so well?"

I lean in closer,

"There's nothing I wouldn't do for you."

A rub on her thighs and kiss her earlobe.

"You're mine Kaz, and i'll protect what's mine."

"Mhmm, say it again."

She whispers in my ear.

"You're mine. All mine."

I lay her back on the counter.

"If you two are gonna fuck can you hurry up?! I starving!"

I look over my shoulder,

"Damnit Carlos, i'm in the middle of something."

"Nah, you're on the middle of Kaz, now chop, chop. I'm hungry."

Kaz has her face covered and she's laughing in her hands. Her laughter turns into full on 'I can't breathe' and 'I have to pee, stop!' kinda laughing.

"Whew,"

She wipes a tear from her eye,

"We were so gonna do it on a kitchen counter!"

I laugh a little too.

"We really were."

I help her off the counter and pull out ingredients needed for breakfast.

"Any requests?"

"Surprise me."

She joins Carlos on the couch.

His phone rings,

"Yo? Who is this...are you sure?"

I look over my shoulder as he hands the phone Kaz,

'Huh, weird...'

"Hello? How'd you get this number?"

She leaves the room and steps out on the porch.

"Aye, who was that?"

He shrugs,

"Said they needed to talk to Kaz and that she didn't want to put herself in danger by telling her name."

"Strange,"

I stroke my stubble,

"How'd you know it was a female?"

"Her voice, duh."

The back of my neck starts to sweat and my heartbeat increases.

"Get her off that phone..."

He looks at me like i'm crazy,

"Qué?"

"Kaz! GET OFF THE DAMN PHONE!"

She turns around and looks at me through the glass door.

'What?' She mouths.

I dash across the room, slide the door open and snatch the phone. I hang up and throw it into the pool below us.

"What the hell?! I was in the middle of something!"

"What did you tell her? Did you tell her where we are?"

"Huh? What's going on, you're making me anxious."

"That phone call was used to trace your location. We have to go."

I pull her back inside and close all the curtains.

"Hey where's my phone?"

"I tossed it in the pool. You can have the new one I just bought."

"W-what? Why the hell did you-"

"Listen! I'll explain later but as of right now we have to leave. Carlos, call the guys and tell them to be on guard. Make sure all windows and doors are locked and no one comes in."

"Um, ok?"

I toss him my phone out my pocket then turn my attention back to Kaz,

"You, you head upstairs and pack a small bag. We have to get you as far away from here as possible and grab you sword. I miss seeing you use it."

She hesitates to move.

"Please Kaz, you have to trust me right now."

"I do, i'm just a little confused."

"I know, I know but do as I say. It'll all make since soon."

She nods,

"I trust you Ricky. I'll be back in a few minutes."

"Good good, it's all a matter of time now."
