Eden was given a card by Marth. It was black and had a grey colored gryphon embedded on the front, the Grisebach symbol. The card would entitle Eden to a twenty percent discount at all Grisebach-owned businesses and also allow him to participate and attend VIP auctions held by the Grisebach family. Marth truly valued his position with Eden. Marth believed that Eden was someone worth supporting and seeing that he was someone so young, could become someone great in the future.

Eden spent the next week and a half sculpting, he now had a partnership with the Grisebach company to sell his figurines. Eden continued his cultivating as he wanted to break through the foundation stages to the Elementalist Stage and truly be called an elementalist. He was still at the novice level.

After breaking through the foundational stages was when the true path of cultivation started. The Application and Foundational Stages were the laying of rocks, a laying of support for the build upwards.

One could not build a castle upon a foundation of sand. The foundational stage was the true source of strength for all elemental users. One could lay down many different sized rocks as the foundation, but the way Eden went about it was smoothing each stone, perfectly laying out his foundation step by step. The process and teachings Oak laid in him these last two months were taken word for word. Eden would progress more slowly but his base of strength would be stronger.

According to Old man Oak's analysis, Eden was progressing at an already quick pace compared to others his age, and on top of that he was cultivating two elements. Old man Oak would constantly monitor Eden's mana body to make sure that there were no glaring weaknesses in his foundation. He had never come across a student with such dedication to perfection regarding their cultivation. Eden was not very far from breaking through to the intermediate level.

Breaking through to the 1st Circle Elementalist Stage would guarantee Eden a high chance of victory in the academy tournament in ten months. Old man Oak could already picture the Untouchable Kings pushing out a first circle elementalist. Old man Oak's hope for Eden was to get him to the advanced foundation stages at the minimum by the year end academy tournament. The difference between a first circle elementalist and one within the foundational stages still was enormous. But Eden getting to the the advanced foundation stage was sign of great talent at his age alone.

A middle-aged man and young girl approached Border Town as it was beginning to get dark. Both had red-brownish hair that were extremely eye catching. The man had a stern looking face complete with beard and mustache. The girl had a pony tail and wore a pink ribbon in her hair. Both had red eyes to complement their brown hair. Both were wearing cloaks as they proceeded into the village.

"Father, it looks like we finally reached our destination. We should be meeting them up soon" said the young girl.

"Adara, from what I read from letters, Headmaster Oak's student is extremely talented and is very close to breaking through the foundational stages and forming his first circle." praised the man.

"Hmph!" Adara frowned, "Maybe I'll have to challenge him!"

'This one always wants to fight' sighed Adara's father.

"Let me tell you Adara, Headmaster Oak has never taken an interest in acquiring a student for a long time. This child would be his first student, do you think he would pick someone so weak to be his first student?"

------

Adara and her father made their way to the front of the Border Town Square. As it was getting dark, the square was a bit empty. Adara and her father noticed a young boy sculpting figurines. A beautiful array of animal sculptures were lined up around the young child.

"Wow these are amazing! This kid looks like my age yet he's so talented father!" Adara exclaimed.

She couldn't help but admire the talent that this child had.

Adara walked up towards Eden.

"How much is for one of these?" Adara asked.

"These are not for sale, I'm currently filling out a contract for someone. If you want come back in a few days and I'll be able to do something for you" replied Eden.

Eden had entered a contract with the Grisebach family to sell them a hundred figurines. Eden wanted to meet the timetable that Marth requested from him. He only sculpted in the square because he wanted to show off his work.

"If you aren't selling why are you out here?" asked Adara.

"There was no place in the inn to make these figurines. And I can ask for donations as I display my sculpting. There was a crowd here earlier but they have since left" said Eden, pointing to the coppers.

"Come on, you have a bunch of them here surely you can sell me one!" yelled Adara.

"I cannot, I have to meet the demands of someone else first before I could make one for you." Eden responded. Eden was getting agitated.

"Alright. I'll come back." sighed Adara. "I just want to take a closer look at the figurines if you don't mind"

"Sure!" replied Eden.

Adara walked around as she was inspecting the other figurines. She was amazed at the amount of detail on the figurines. In a figurine of a bird she noticed, it looked almost lifelike with such details in its feathers she could tell this was a finely crafted figurine.

When Adara thought that Eden wasn't looking she hurriedly snatched the bird figurine and began to walk away. As she walked away vines began to emerge from the ground and entangle one of her arms.

"WAAAH!" screamed Adara.

She realized that she was caught by a giant vine which was now holding her up in the air.

"Thief! Give me back my bird!" shouted Eden.

"Why you!" Adara yelled back. She burned away the vine that was holding her up and jumped away so that she was standing a few feet away from Eden.

Both Eden and Adara glared at each other in anger as they stood a few feet apart from each other.

Watching from afar was Headmaster Oak who approached Adara's father smiling.

"Ignis, it seems your daughter and my student will get along just fine haha." laughed Head Master Oak.

"Indeed they will Lazarus."
