On the outskirts of Rivenhart City laid one of the four academy Kings, Prontera, the academy that its students' called, 'the Strongest'. A boy with blue hair walked amongst the crowd within the halls of Prontera Academy. The boy was wearing a brown leather armor and boots, on his back was a black cloak. As the boy walked with his head held high and was the envy of those within the academy.

In Prontera, where every student was held in high regard due to their potential, this boy had already made a name for himself. Students would stop and stare as the boy walked by. He was Prontera Academy's new rising star, Morgan Lake, they were watching what they believed would be another legend unfold before their eyes.

During the last few months, Morgan made his talents known when Prontera Academy announced the selection contest to determine who would be part of the representative team.

Morgan, with his natural talent and hard work, quickly advanced through the foundational stages and was on the cusp of finally entering the elementalist stage and forming his first circle. The astounding speed at which Morgan displayed his growth amazed many academy professors and led many of the students to believe that Morgan would be the future within the academy.

The academy tournament which happens annually across the kingdom and its many academies, was open to students between their first year and third year. It was a chance to pick out new and upcoming talents within the kingdom and provide resources to the high performers. It was common knowledge that between the ages of ten to thirteen were a crucial time of growth for an elementalist.

Many organizations and kingdoms would even attend in order to invite the talents within the Rivenhart Kingdom to their kingdom to continue their growth. Elementalists were always in high demand, and everyone salivated over talented prospects.

Little did they know, Morgan would work hard every single day. He would be the first to enter the academy training grounds, and the last to leave. Using the resources available to him by the academy, Morgan was able to quickly progress faster than many of the students that have stayed at the academy for more than two years and was quickly gaining on third year students.

'Don't let it get it to your head. Don't let it get to your head' thought Morgan Lake as he walked by. 'One slip up and you'll be forgotten by the masses'.

"Morgan Lake" a low voice called out. "Keep up the good work, through grit and grind you've shown your talent."

"Thanks Kliff. I will still have to try my best to represent the academy well." bowed Morgan.

The voice came from a red haired older boy that looked to be around thirteen. He had a good posture and possessed a majestic aura around him. This was Kliff Everest, an earth elementalist, was commonly known throughout the kingdom as the strongest of his generation these last three years. Kliff was a member of the Everest family, one of the three great families within the Rivenhart Kingdom. Kliff is the current King of Prontera Academy and represented what could possibly be the future of the Rivenhart Kingdom.

"Hopefully, you can break through to the first circle before the tournament. Your dual elements will be extremely useful in the group matches. Continue training, be it training materials or guidance from a higher level elementalist, if you need anything please let me know. Prontera must continue the glory I created these last few years." urged Kliff.

'Kliff Everest, the pillar of Prontera, and potentially future pillar of the Kingdom, he had many prospects awaiting him after he leaves' thought Morgan, 'I can only hope to be like him in the future.'

"Yes sir! I will try my best!"

"You can first start by winning your challenge."

Morgan nodded and made his way into the competition grounds of the the academy.

The competition grounds were in constant use at the academy, students constantly battling and trying to improve themselves. Morgan spent most of his time here. There was a large arena present and hundreds of students have filled the rows to watch the representative selection tournament.

"It's him, the future king!" shouted the student spectators.

"Prince Morgan! Prince Morgan! Prince Morgan!" chants were reigning on Morgan as he made his appearance on to the stage. After viewing his talents, expectations were showered on Morgan to succeed Kliff.

Facing off against Morgan was a lightning elementalist within the academy, Rayleigh who was one of the top students within the academy. He had silver hair and was wearing a brown colored leather armor with a green cloak.

"Hmph.. Prince Morgan my a.s.s, you have yet to accomplish anything." said Rayleigh with annoyance. "They've already crowned the next king like many others here don't stand in his way."

"Sorry Brother Rayleigh, It's not my fault, I didn't ask for any of this, no need to get jealous." chuckled Morgan.

"Don't worry, when I'm done here, they'll be calling me the next King."

The judge overseeing the fight raised his hands. "The winner of this fight shall qualify for the representative team. The fight shall continue until one person admits defeat, is unable to continue, or I have observed that the next hit they'll receive is lethal. Please protect yourself at all times, I will step in if a lethal hit should occur. The fight may begin!"

Rayleigh instantly disappeared as soon as the words Begin were said. Rayleigh used a low level spell Lightning Dash to increase his speed. He appeared next to Morgan and grabbed his right shoulder. Rayleigh unleashed an electric shock at Morgan's body. Morgan's body began to convulse due to the electric shock.

"HAHAHA Prince Morgan! Do you like that! Take another!" shouted Rayleigh as he used his other hand to grabbed Morgan's other shoulder. Morgan's body continued to convulse.

The crowd gasped.

One of the spectators turned to look at his friend, "I told you we hyped him up too much! Now we're all let down!"

"Look! You missed out on why we call him the Prince!" replied his friend.

"Huh? What?"

"Winner has been declared. Morgan Lake!" shouted the judge.

Rayleigh was just as shocked as the spectator when he turned around to see Morgan and several icicles.

The Morgan that Rayleigh was shocking turned out to be a piece of ice that Morgan threw his cape over and projected a shadow copy of himself over. Morgan had in fact hid within Rayleigh's shadow when he appeared next to him. And while Rayleigh was busy shocking the shadow copy, Morgan appeared behind Rayleigh and had casted several icicles ready to spear him.

"Well played Prince... Dammit."
