Larger Than Life, Bigger Than Us

"LingLing, I will be fine going to the washroom alone. I am an a.d.u.l.t after all. Besides your friends have been hinting for you to go back to them for awhile now...you don't need to accompany me further, I will go back to SongJae once I am done."

While talking, Lily waved to the small band of young men that were making signs at LingLing to join them from the doors. She could clearly see the hesitation in the tsundere kid.

"Unless you have some feelings for me and that's why you want to stick to me for the rest of the evening?" Lily was provoking him to leave her alone. She really didn't want LingLing to follow her. Else she wouldn't be able to escape his vigilant eyes. She came to the bal with her own plans after all.

"Pre...pre...preposterous! WHO has feelings for you?!!" LingLing was so angry he stumbled on words. He then turned and walked furiously back to his friends. Each of his steps was heavy. As if he was trying to crush the world under his foot.

A half-smile bloomed on Lily's lips. She now had complete freedom on her movements. Lily went back to the ballroom. SongJae was still discussing with the investors. From afar, Lily could see the discussion was heated and serious. She looked up to the stage but the stage was now empty.

Lily wondered where the beautiful couple went. She absolutely needed to find them. As she was circulating through the ball, she could feel she was observed but she couldn't find who was gazing at her, making her extremely uncomfortable.

A young woman in the crowd, with dark brows, thin lips and an expression even darker than the night was intently staring at Lily. She had observed her the whole night. From her arrival with the handsome brothers till now. She could barely her murderous intent. But she knew the time wasn't there yet. She had to exert her patience. Only when permission was granted could she finally get rid of that thorn on her side. Meanwhile though, she would do all she could to torture her.

"Ran Sheng, how you dare steal what rightly belongs to me! I'll make sure your life is hell!

With a red wine glass in her hand, the thin lips woman pretended to trip. As Lily was nearby, she received the full content of the glass on her and her outfit. Lily's beautiful dress was now ruined.

"Nobody ever taught you to look at where you go?!"
