Larger Than Life, Bigger Than Us

Lily was caught up in a nightmare. It seemed she was reliving what she just experienced but it was different. In her dreams, she was also in a forest being attacked by unknown assailants. The air was different, the trees were different but somehow it was the same feelings.

Lily knew she was dreaming but it didn't seemed she was, everything was too real. She was just running around. Wait why was she running?! In any case, she was running when someone had knocked her from behind and dragged her in the forest. When she woke up, she could feel more than one set of hands touching her body. She couldn't protest, she was too hurting everywhere.

"Ran Sheng, do not blame us, someone had paid us for you to die."

Ran Sheng?! Her name was Lily! In the midst of the pain, Lily realized that maybe this wasn't a nightmare, maybe....maybe this was Ran Sheng's memory?! Wait...would that mean she was Ran Sheng?! No...no...impossible!!! She was absolutely certain that she was Lily. Why would she know about Ran Sheng's past? The puzzle was even more complex she had envisioned but she couldn't leisurely thought about this. Her assailants hadn't finish their job and they became even more vicious.

They were beating her up, kicking her, laughing at her, taunting others to do the same. But she couldn't defend herself, she was too weak. After a long moment, she felt she had also exhaled her last breath. But her soul had not left her body, she was still lingering. Someone had murdered her. She never did anything that would arose anyone's hate. She was raging and that rage kept her going a little longer.

"I can't let this go, I can't die. I need to hold on and I must take revenge on those that hurt me!"

"...Help..." it was just whisper. She no longer had any strength left in her.

"Help me please..." her voice broke and tears ran down from her bloodied and sullied face.

But in this forest, far away from everyone, would someone hear her plea?

Suddenly, she heard a cold enchanting voice.

"This Lord will help you, but not for free. You life will belong to this Lord. Do you want still want to be saved?"

Lily used the last bit of her will power to negotiate : "Yes....but.. I... I must be.. be.. able to...to get my revenge."

After she put down her only condition, Lily fainted.
