Chapter 11 - 10 - Knowing Ed

After we left the Battle Arena... we went to the audiences...

I just wanted to sit next to my friends... but it is really hard since everyone keeps praising us...

But finally, after 10 minutes... which is actually we only need 2 minutes... we could finally unite with the other...

"Nisan!!" Nathalia come and hug me...

"That is a great battle! I think that is even the best battle I have seen in my life!" Precilla praised us...

"I never see a battle that intense! Both of you equalize the previous champion... which was I think that they are the best..." Roxane praised us...

Both of us sit on the bench...

And I guess Euclio was too tired to respond...

"Thanks... that was the best battle I had ever fight either..." I said

"The battle between of spell is intense... also the battle between the swordsmanship" Nate praised us...

"Ughh... Navael is formidable... I never thought a Vareos Style would be so hard to be defeated..." Euclio said

I think it's just Euclio never fight a Vareos Style user... the only spear wielder between us is Nate... and he used Maxim Style... which make Nate as a rare spearman...

Maxim Style is the rarest among every style, Either Sword Style nor Spear Style

"But both of you are pretty good in teamwork!" Serena said...

She lost on the first round... I guess she has no interest in swordsmanship nor witchcraft...

"That is not pretty good... but excellent!" Roxane said

"Did we?" I asked back

And all of them nodded...

"You see... Wind and Earth elements are the worst enemy you ever fight!" Precilla said

"I agree... it change the terrain too much..." I said...

"Yeah, if you have no barrier magic... it would be really hard..." Precilla said...

That is true... without barrier magic... normal people would be troubled...

I looked at Nathalia... she looks so proud at me...

She keeps hugging me...

"What's wrong Nathalia?" I asked while patting her head

"Nothing... I just missed you..." Nathalia said to me...

"H-How about me?" Nate asked jealously...

Nate hasn't changed at all...

"Then! Let's hug nisan!" Nathalia said...

And Nate joined hugging me...

"H-Hey! T-This is embarassing you know..." I said

Some people laughed seeing us...

"Hey... let me treat you guys lunch!" I said...

"Yeahhh!!!" Nate, Leon, Roxane, Precilla, Serena, Ethan said in unison...

I see Tousan and Kasan waving their hand on me...

I waved my hand back...

"Nathalia... how long will you stayed here?" I asked her

"Umm, I guess until your match ended..." she said...

Ughh they really come this far only to watch us?!

Even Ethen Perius?! And Feurius Qiteron?!

Now both King are talking to each other...

I guess Perius Kingdom and Qiteron Kingdom has a good relationship...

"Euclio..." I called him...

"What?" He asked with tired face...

He moved a lot during the battle... I guess I could understand if he looks totally tired out...

"Have you asked that question to your Tousan..." I asked him whisperingly...

Only Nathalia heard... but I trusted her...

Since she is one of the reincarnate like me...

I shook my head

"T-Then I will tell you later..." Eu said...

I nodded...

And Nathalia looked at me...

"You see... when you enter the school, there will be something I'm going to tell you... and it is really important..." I said to her...

All of us went to the mess hall and I treated the food for all of them...

Then I looked at Roxane... I think he supposed to miss Roxane not me, right?

"Yeah, your Tousan is a great person..." I said to Roxane...

To make the mood lighten... since we are talking about Roxane's Tousan, but they relate Rueger more to me than to Roxane...

And she nodded...

"He is a good Tousan as well..." she said

"The school will end in two months... so calm down... you will meet him soon..." I said

"Hey! How about this weekend we visited Nico's house!" Euclio suggested...

"That is a great idea!" Nate said...

And everyone hanged his mouth open except Leon...

"H-Hey! Even Euclio's sword is much more expensive than ours!" Ethan defended himself and Leon...

"I-Is it?!" Euclio asked...

E-Euclio don't even know about his own swords...

He is useless isn't he...

"Yeah! Those swords can be used by an Elemental Fighter like you... it would probably cost 5000 golds!" Leon said

And everyone doesn't even move an inch...

"Each sword..." Leon said...

It's 10 000 golds!!

"With that money, I'll go retired already..." Precilla said seriously... and all of us laughed...

"But still, no one can defeated Nate's spear... it must be more than 10 000 golds..." Leon said

Also I watched Daigo Staviel fighting.... but I guess, he isn't really interested in this kind of event...

We sit together with Daigo during classes that is not a mix class between other different year students...

And the mysterious Marie Gavenhallen is also fighting...

Unexpectedly, she won... she paired up with a boy from regular class... I never seen him before...

After the matches end, Tousan asked me to have dinner with them in the mansion...

He said that he already asked for permission to Santa...

"Tousan... can my friend join our dinner?" I asked

He give a thought...

"Guess that's fine... we will put another table for you kids then..." Tousan said

"Thanks Tousan!" I said while hugging him...

Then Euclio, Ethan, Leon, Roxane, Precilla and Serena joined us for dinner...

When it is time for dinner...

We ride in our own carriage...

Tousan has provided two other carriage for us... he is well-prepared man...

We are now moving toward the Mansion from the school...

This might be the first time for Precilla and Serena to visit my mansion...

When we arrived at the Mansion, we are directed to the dining room...

There are two kings during our dinner...

Euclio's Tousan and Ethan's Tousan also, Tousan... the three of them looked like an old friend...

The three of them talk happily

"No... He is an honest guy... but his ministries are all corrupted" Feurius said

"Yeah, the kingdom is getting poorer... I received an intel..." Ethen said

"And have you heard another problem in Beastman Kingdom?" Tousan asked

And both of them nodded...

"I heard that they are fighting against the elf..." Tousan said

"Which elf?" Feurius asked...

"High Elven Race..." Tousan said...

"That will be a great war..." Ethen said

"You see... no matter what happened... both of us should never fight..." Tousan said

And the three of them raised their cup

"For our sons" They said

T-They keep peace because of us?

Euclio gave me a wink...

Is it because of our friendship? That would be great then...

"The food here is delicious!" Leon praised the food...

He talks since no one talk in our table...

But, that is a good move.... Or else, the kings will think that we are listening to their conversation, which is impolite...

"I-I don't even cook!" I said and they laughed...

We are on the same table with Rueger

Rueger is eating between Roxane and I...

But he talks to me more than he talks to Roxane... I feel sad for her... I hope she is not mad at me...

So... there are wars happening in the world...

Maybe I should tell Keito-sensei about this...

"Leon... you see that weapon my Tousan bring?" Ethan said to Leon whisperingly...

But all of us hear what he said...

"Yes... what's wrong with that?" Leon asked

"You mean the Auxillium's Halberd?!?" Leon said with loud voice...

I guess I see Ethen Perius smiled a bit...

Not only him, but the other two as well...

After the dinner, everyone prepared to leave... except me... since tomorrow is a holiday, Tousan also asked permission from Santa for me to stay a night in home and of course, Santa would agree...

But then...

"Your friend can stay here if you want..." Okasan said to Nate and I

We are in the lobby and they are about to leave...

"Hey guys! Why don't you stay here for a night!" I asked them

Without even thinking... Euclio and Leon agreed...

"Ummm, I guess you, Roxane and Serena can stay with Nathalia..." I said to Precilla...

I faced Nathalia and she nodded...

"I don't mind" she said cheerfully

"While Leon and Ethan with me!" Nate said happily

"You can take Euclio if you want..." I said to teased him...

"Both of you are inseparable!" Serena said...

"Yeah, it's like you won't be able to invite just one of them, they come in a package..." Roxane said

"I-Is that a compliment?" Euclio asked... and we laughed...

Thanks Kasan! She truly knows what I want..

I sleep with Euclio in the same bed...

"Hey, I forgot to tell you" Euclio said in the middle of the night...

He knows that I am not sleeping yet...

"Your Tousan?" I asked

"Yep, you know what is his relation with your grandpa?" Euclio asked me back...

"No..."

"He is Keito-sensei's cousin..." Euclio said

And silence rule the room...

"You sure?" I asked

"Yeah, but he said that he doesn't know where he is... and Tousan thought he might have died..." Euclio said

"Better keep it secret... you didn't tell him right?" I asked

"Of course no!" Euclio said

"Okay... doesn't mean we are actually brother?" I asked

"Technically I am your Tousan's cousin..." He said while laughing...

"Y-You are my uncle?" I asked and he nodded while laughing...

But I ended laughing as well...

"That is good news..." I said

"Yeah, it's time to sleep! Tomorrow, we are going to shopping!" Euclio said happily

I planned to buy a staff...

The next day, I was woken up by Rueger as usual...

And Rueger is smiling as always...

"Nicolas-sama, Euclio-sama... it's 6 AM already..." Rueger woke us up

"Okay..." I said while still sleeping...

When Euclio looked at Rueger's face...

"What?!" Euclio said in panicked...

And I looked confused...

"What?" I asked

"You are so mean! Making the tenth woke you up!" Euclio said to me...

"Ummm but he always wake me up since I am 4 years old..." I said

"No problem Euclio-sama... I love my work..." Rueger said while smiling...

"I-I see... then I guess that is okay..." Euclio said

Hearing Euclio panicked voice wake me up...

All of us trained at 6 AM, trained by Rueger, except Nate

He trained with Kasan...

"Where is Nate?" Leon asked me...

"He trained with my Kasan..." I said

"Yes, since Nate-sama is the only one here using spear..." Rueger said

"I-I see..." Leon said

"I bet your Kasan is very strong!" Serena said

"W-Why is that?" I asked...

"Of course! Nate is very strong! Nate and Leon have the strongest swordsmanship skill in school..." Precilla said

"Yes... Nicole-sama is a very strong person... even myself lost against her..." Rueger said

And all of us looked speechless...

"Are you sure you were fighting seriously?" I asked him

And he nodded...

"B-But you are one of the 10 strongest..." Euclio said

"Yes I am, but Nicole proved that she is stronger than me..." Rueger said

Mom is stronger than Rueger? But I actually believed it as well...

When I saw her fight the assasssins... I can't even see her movement... it's like she is blinking...

"R-Rueger-san! Please teach me more!" Leon said seriously...

"Hmmm and what is your purpose Leon-sama?" Rueger asked...

"I-I want to beat Nate in swordsmanship!" Leon said it

He is an ambitious kid...

Rueger looked at me... and I nodded...

"Okay then, let's continue our training... this time, I will show you a God Tier looked like..." Rueger said while smiling

He taught us for another hour, until all of us run out of stamina

"Nicolas-sama... breakfast is ready..." a maid come and said to me

"Okay... thank you..." I said

And she left...

"Let's prepare ourselves for breakfast..." I said

We all bathed and prepared ourselves for breakfast...

I used my royal uniform... since Euclio's Tousan and Ethan's Tousan is here as well...

Not only me, but the other of my friends were given a royal uniform as well...

Then all of us gather in the Dining Room and everyone is waiting already...

We greeted the three of them, Tousan, Ethen Perius, and Feurius QIteron

And then we sit on the different table...

This time, Rueger is seating with the elder... and of course Kasan as well...

We waited for the food to be served...

"I can't stand the royalty attitude... it's too polite..." Roxane said

"That is true... but you will get used to it if you born in royalty family..." Nate said

And everyone nodded...

I just realized that the boys are all royalty... while the girls, only Nathalia is royalty...

But that doesn't stop me from being their friend...

And all of them shook their head...

"Oh! I see it three years ago! When he gave the armor to you!" Euclio remembered...

And I just remember as well that Euclio was there as well...

"T-That must be cost more than 20 000 golds coin!!!" Leon said in happy voice

"Yeah! I have to see it too!" Precilla looked interested as well...

It is a heavy armor, I believe Valeon Style user will like it, since they use heavy armor....

"Okay... it is in the lobby, so before we leave, we can see it first..." I said

"Okay!" the three of them, Ethan, Leon and Precilla in unison

After we finished our breakfast,

We ask permission from Tousan to leave... and we say our farewell to them...

Before we head to the town...

We looked at the armor that is displayed on the lobby...

"T-This is awesome!!" Ethan said

"H-Hey! Can I buy it! How about 30 000 golds!" Leon said

T-That is a lot of money!!

But still...

"S-Sorry Leon... it is a gift... I can't sell it..." I said

"This is armor is made of adamantine!" Precilla shouted in panicked

After we examined the armor

I heard a carriage stop...

"Guest from Aerios Kingdom!" the soldier announce the incoming guest...

All of us left the armor and see the carriage that just arrived...

It has a Pegasus emblem on its door...

Then someone come out from the carriage...

"Tousan!" Leon shouted and immediately hugged his Dad...

"Leon!" He said and hugged his son...

He is a big man, with blonde hair... he used an expensive cloak and an expensive crown...

"Z-Zeon Aerios...." Tousan shouted in surprised...

Zeon then released Leon

"Ahh! The Archduke itself greeted me!" Zeon said and hugged Tousan...

They are about the same sizes...

I wonder if I will be that big one day...

After they finished their hugged...

Then Tousan looked at my eyes...

Means that I have to do something...

Zeon then looked at me as well...

"My name is Nicolas Maxwell, it's an honor to meet you..." I introduce myself...

"My name is Nate Maxwell, nice to meet you.." Nate said

"My name is Nathalia Maxwell, I am happy to meet you..." Nathalia said

After saying that, the other looked at us in surprised face...

"My name is Euclio Qiteron..."

"And my name is Ethan Perius..."

"I am Roxane..."

"My name is Precilla..."

"And my name is Serena..."

Everyone introduced themselves...

He then nodded...

"Nice to meet you all... I am Zeon Aerios..." he introduced himself...

And then another man stand behind him...

"My name is Orphamiel Aerios... I am Zeon's brother..." he said with a smile on his face

His name... is a bit familiar...

"O-Orphamiel?! The sixth?!" Precilla asked...

"Yep... it's me" Orphamiel said while smiling

The sixth?! Does it mean he is number six from the strongest people in the world?!

"Okay, let's talk inside!" Tousan said and convince Zeon to enter the mansion

And he nodded...

Zeon and Orphamiel entered our mansion...

"Okay... now it is the time to head for the town!" Leon said

"OKAY!" everyone said in unison...

Actually, I didn't plan to buy anything...

I said about buying staff is just a distraction...

But 4 days from now is Euclio's birthday... I just want to give him something... since he is my best buddy...

I was thinking about giving him a sword...

Not dual swords... just a single sword... that able to resist the Elemental Fighter Magic...

I planned to left with Ethan... since he knows a lot about swords...

Leon knows a lot too... but he needed to be with Nate... since both of them always stick together...

After we arrived at the city...

"Hey... I need to buy something for my Tousan... you can go first... we will meet you up..." I said

"Then! Let me accompany you!" Euclio asked me

"N-No... it is related to kingdom stuff... I guess Ethan can accompanied me..." I refuse him...

Ethan understands... so he nodded...

I have told already about the plan to everybody else...

His face looks really sad...

And I notice that I always on his side... and almost never separated this past few months...

We left the other and go straight to the blacksmith...

We got some list from Roxane... so, we planned to visit 3 blacksmiths and 2 shops

First, we went to a shop...

"R-Red Eye!! LEAVE!!" a shopkeeper shouted...

Ugh... we immediately leaved...

"That might be me in the future if you had not duel me..." Ethan said while smiling...

I looked at him... he has grown m.a.t.u.r.e...

"Yep... you should be thankful" I said with a smile...

And he nodded...

"Actually, I am really grateful that I dueled you..." Ethan said

"Thanks..." He continues...

"No problem" I said while patting his head...

When we are walking to the second shop we crash into someone unexpectedly...

"E-Ed!" Ethan said

"E-Ethan-sama... what are you doing here?" Ed asked...

-sama? So he must be Ethan's bodyguard... I knew it! Since he is a really strong guy...

He then looked at me...

"My name is Ed... Prince Ethan's personal bodyguard..." Ed said with cold gaze

"Oh hi there... I am Nicolas Maxwell... nice to meet you..." I said

And he nodded...

"Please tell me if you need anything..." Ed said and he started to walk away... but...

"Wait!" I stopped him...

He looked back...

"Do you want to join us?" I asked

He looks lonely... why no one accompanied him... did they bully him? But he is too strong...

"Where are you going?" he asked back...

"We are going to a shop... I need to buy a sword for my friend..." I explained...

"Fine..." he accepted

T-That was fast!

Then the three of us visited the shop...

"I hope they won't drive me out..." I said

And Ethan laughed...

Ed stay silent...

I was actually wondering... if Ed hates me because of my Red Eye...

I come inside and...

"Nicolas-sama! Please what can I help you!" the shopkeeper greeted us...

"Can I see the best sword you have?" I asked him...

"Ah, please wait for a minute..." the shopkeeper left us...

"There are still a good guy around..." Ethan said

"Yep..." I said

After minutes, he brought us 3 swords...

One is a sword made of normal steel... just a good design...

The other one is made of pretty good material... but still, not good enough....

And the third one is quite interesting, an Opal Sword... it looked like a glass

"Is this all you got?" I asked him

"Yes, Nicolas-sama..." The shopkeeper said

"We will be back if we found nothing else..." I said

Then we left the shop

"Those are horrible..." Ethan said...

"Yeah..." I said

We move to the blacksmith...

And we arrived at his shop...

"R-Red eye!! Please leave!!!" He said with disgusted face...

"S-Sure..." I said and about to leave... but...

Ed come inside the shop and put his sword under the blacksmith's neck...

"W-What are you doing!" The blacksmith said in panicked...

"I hate this kind of people..." Ed said

"E-Ed!" Ethan called him in panicked...

Ed directed his view to Ethan... and Ed nodded...

He put back his sword... and returned to us...

I looked at Ed with an idiot face...

"Let's go..." Ed said... and immediately leave the shop... leaving us in our confusion...

"S-Sure..." Ethan said...

After we left the blacksmith...

"Hmmm let's check this one..." I said while pointing a red dot I have marked on the map....

We visit the store... and it is the store where Precilla and Roxane bought their sword!

We enter the store and a dwarf welcomed us...

"Kid! What can I do for you..." the dwarf said...

"Can I see your finest sword?" I asked the dwarf....

After saying that he realized that I am not an ordinary kid... and he acted nervously

"S-Sure Nicolas-sama..." he said and left us...

He then brought us a sword...

One single sword...

"T-This is!!" Ethan looked amazed

"That is a sapphire..." the dwarf said...

But the sword is not long enough... it is not even a sword, it's a dagger...

"Can you make a custom sword?" I asked...

"Of course! A dwarf can smith everything!" he said proudly...

"Then old man, do you have another sapphire left..." I said while teasing him...

"Hey! I am not old! I am still in my 60s!" he said

"That is old!!" I said and Ethan laughed...

Ed is like a robot... he doesn't laugh...

Or my joke is bad?

"Then kid! How much you want to pay?" he asked me in casual way...

"5000 golds..." I said and show five with my hand...

And he looked speechless...

"Can you find an adamantine?" I asked

And Ethan looked at me with surprised face...

Including the dwarf....

"Adamantine is an extremely rare material... and it will be really pricey as well..." the dwarf said

I guess it will cost more than 10 000, which is impossible for me...

"I-I see... then how about the sapphire?" I asked

"It might work... is it a gift?" he asked me...

I nodded...

"Then, do you want me to write his name and your name on the sword?" He asked me...

"I-Is that possible?" I asked him

He wants war!

"Fine old man! If you can do it in three days... I will give you extra a thousand gold!" I said

We left the shop and about to return to the other...

"You will got a nice sword there... even my sword here is made of topaz only..." Ethan explained...

Then I looked at his sword... and he showed it to me...

"So... Sapphire is stronger than Topaz?" I asked

"Of course! That is just one level below adamantine..." Ethan said

"Probably one of the best... it's because adamantine is an extremely rare material, so normally, royalty use sapphire..." Ed said

H-He is finally talking...

"Both of you sure know much about this..." I said

"We actually loved to read books together..." Ethan said

Ed nodded...

Ed is small... I think he is not even 10 years old...

"Umm, can I ask something?" I said to Ed...

"What is it?" he asked...

"How old are you?" I asked him

He faced Ethan... and Ethan nodded...

"Hey! Let's hang out together..." I asked him out...

He give a thought... but then he answers

"I can't...." Ed said... and he left...

His voice sounds a bit.... sad...

"I wonder why he sounds so sad..." Ethan said as well...

So Ethan realize it as well

"Let's meet up with the other!" I said

And he nodded...

After 2 hours since we left... we met in a restaurant...

"Hey! What took you so long!" Euclio impatiently

"Hehe... it took longer than I thought... sorry..." I said

"No problem! Let's order the food!" Precilla said

We ordered some food

When we order food... I have a lot of thoughts in my mind...

This Ed guy, he is cold... but he actually cared for me...

He defended me when a shopkeeper that drove me out... and even almost killed him...

Maybe, I should buy him a sword as well? I feel bad for not treating him anything...

I should have forced him to eat with us together...

After we ordered Nate told us what they have been doing...

"So, what will we be doing today?" I asked...

"T-That's true! But Ethan said that the quality of staff they are making in this town is bad..." I said

Euclio looked at Ethan...

I sent a wink on Ethan

"T-That is true... and staff can't be made by normal people... they could only buy it from special request to the church..." Ethan continues...

"I-Is that true?" Nate asked

Now he is not sure that we are joking or is it a real answer...

"Yep, that is true... but there might be normal staff... but I guess you don't want anything normal... then go order some staff for your own..." Precilla said

"Where can I order a staff?" I asked her seriously this time
