Kangaskhan and Mewtwo spent the night familiarizing with Liam's old Pokemon while celebrating their reunion, only heading to heal his Pokemon's at the Pokemon Center the next day.

Just when he was about to leave, Liam received a call from Sabrina. "Hey, do you want to go on a date?"

For a moment, Liam didn't know what to say! Afterall, he had only known Sabrina for a short amount of time…

However, he didn't want to reject her as that would be rude, thus he only half-accepted. "Well, we can go out and grab something to eat since I'm currently heading out to eat breakfast, but don't treat it as a date or anything." 

Meeting up in a restaurant, the both of them ordered food to their liking as they ate quietly, although it was a bit awkward, it wasn't as bad as he originally thought. Sabrina talked about herself throughout the whole meal, explaining her childhood which gave Liam a new outlook of her. He thought that she was actually a sweet girl, albeit a little creepy.

After finishing their meal, Sabrina invited Liam to spend the night with her but was quickly turned down. "Sorry, I have to train for the Pokemon League Championship that's coming up next month."

Not wanting to give in, she offered to help him train but was rejected once more. "I'm going to take fly to another island so I can train. I don't wish to have any distractions before participating in the championship..

Knowing that she couldn't stay with him, Sabrina could only nod her head dejectedly. She was currently wearing a hoodie in order to cover for her belly so Liam didn't realize that Sabrina was pregnant. While going their separate ways, Liam suddenly felt a strange connection between him and Sabrina, but he quickly brushed it off as he needed to focus on what was next.

Going onto the ferry, Liam made his way to Seafoam Island. By the time he arrived at the Island, it was already pretty dark. Not even a minute later, Articuno came in to welcome them, happy to see Shadow once more.

Quickly dropping off Liam, Shadow and Articuno flew away as he let out all the Pokemon's in order to set up camp.

Charizard and Dragonite was busy setting up the campfire because of how cold it was while the others watched. Just when the fire had been set up, it was soon extinguished.

Not thinking too much about it, they made another one, however that was soon extinguished as well.

After attempting to make the campfire for a total of four times, Dragonite finally looked up to see where the wind was coming from, and when they see Eevee laughing at them.

Without any warnings, Tyranitar quickly launched a Flamethrower towards Eevee.

Luckily with Mewtwo's fast reaction time, he was able to block the attack as they were finally able to set up the campfire.

As dinner started, Liam shook his head recalling the incident, wondering why Eevee became this mischievous. However, no matter how hard he thought, he couldn't come up with a reason!

Thus trying not to worry about it now, they all went to bed as they needed to get up early in the morning for some practice.

Waking up, Liam decided to start their training with some mock battles.

Pondering for a bit, he decided to have Charizard go against Dragonite. 

As soon as they started fighting, they both shot into the air while relentlessly shooting a blazing flame towards each other.

Flamethrower!

Quickly dodging with light spin, the fire didn't do much damage to either Pokemon as they missed.

Thus, showing no mercy although they were friends, Charizard and Dragonite flew towards each other at an insane speed before locking their hands, as they both used flamethrower again, this time at each other's face.

Quickly feeling the heat, they both separated from each other preparing to launch another attack. Dragonite was the first to break the stalemate, using an attack as soon as he gained some distance.

Thunderbolt!

Charizard was prepared as he saw it coming from a far distance thus he had plenty of time to dodge.

Doing a beautiful spin, Charizard furiously retaliated.

Dragon Breath!

Not expecting the attack, Dragonite was caught off guard and was struck. Not only that, it was super effective! Dragonite who was in the air soon fell onto the ground because of the special effect that came with Dragon Breath.

Paralyzation!

Quickly dispersing the electricity that was coursing through him, Dragonite dived into the ocean as Charizard immediately followed him but stopped when he lost sight of Dragonite.

Charizard started to search for Dragonite under the water and when he caught a glimpse of him, he didn't bother to waste any more time, quickly firing off a compressed ball of flames.

Fire Blast!

However… it didn't even move further than 3 inches!

Dragonite couldn't help but laugh as he knew that fire was super ineffective under water.

However, what he didn't expect was that the fire Blast caused the water to split and launch a huge tidal wave towards him.

Grasping this opportunity, Charizard immediately lunged towards Dragonite as he grabbed him before he flew into the sky, spinning a few times before throwing him back onto the ground.

Seismic Slam!

The situation was extremely bad for Dragonite as he crashed right into a cave beneath him.

Liam was quite surprised at Charizard's tenacity when he saw Dragonite blast right out of the cave, flying straight towards Charizard in an attempt to grab him.

But Charizard used flamethrower once more, blasting Dragonite into the cave once more.

Dragonite was extremely hurt as of the moment, and he didn't know whether he should continue the battle or not, but he was super competitive! He didn't want to give up, thus he started thinking of a way to defeat Charizard instead, using his head to think of a strategy instead.

"All this time, he was just using brute force and he realized that if he truly wanted to win, he had to utilize something else."

He knew Charizard was slightly stronger than him, so he was thinking if he could find a way to trap Charizard.

However thinking was thinking! Charizard wouldn't just let Dragonite think, thus Charizard quickly dived into the cave where Dragonite was at.

Dragonite suddenly felt the heat when he was snapped out of his thoughts, and when he looked up, he saw a giant Fire Blast making its way towards him!

Knowing that he was on his last stand, Dragonite charged up a Hyper Beam in order to repel the Fire Blast. But Charizard had enough time to power up the move before sending it when Dragonite was lost in thought, thus it was way stronger than Dragonite's hyper beam.

BOOM!

Dragonite was pushed back onto the ground before he felt the insane amount of heat before fainting, making Charizard the winner.

Liam was surprised with Charizard's strong attacks so he asked how he trained but Charizard simply shot fire into the air, asserting his dominance while looking at Tyrannitar trying to get his approval.

But Tyrannitar sat there acting like he wasn't impressed which made Charizard a bit disappointed, but quickly got over it when he saw Liam coming over, preparing for the next lineup and battle.
