Level Is Everything

Sakura is definitely pissed off knowing that Ryou doesn't come up to school today. All her plan is useless now. Sakura however doesn't plan to let it go just like that. She secretly pledged in her heart that she will make Ryou regret for scheming against her.

「Just you wait Ryou. If I can't deal with you here at school, I can still deal with you inside the game. Right now the world map isn't open yet but when it does that will be your end. 」

Ryou on the other hand doesn't even know that Sakura haven't given up on him. He is now still busy leveling up inside the game.

Finally, my level raised to level 3. He opened the stats table and put all of his status point on STR. He also spent the skill point to learn the passive skill "bow mastery". The skill bow mastery enabled Ryou to increase damage when wielding bow type of weapon by 5 and increased his bow attacking range. It also enabled Ryou to equip bow type of equipment with 1 level higher than his current level. Ryou choose a passive skill because at the current level with his plan of not putting any point on INT, his MP won't be enough for him to use skill other than "double strafe". He also can only use double strafe two to three times before his mana run out. That is why he is keeping the skill as his life saving measures and will only depends on his normal attack.

Seeing his attack power actually exceeding 35, Ryou now decided to hunt higher level monster. His target of hunting changed from shadow sparrow towards 'fire falcon', a level 8 monster. On Aaru, a monster starting from level 5 at the beginner's village are starting to show their true worth. It was because they are starting to have elements on them, just like wind wolf, thunder wolf and the new fire falcon. Monsters from level 8 and higher however have one more characteristic, which is the ability to use skill. The thunder wolf is able to use "shock" while the fire falcon is able to use "burn".

To hunt the fire falcon, Ryou need to walk further on the plains field area. The further he walks away from the village, the greater the risk. It was because the plains didn't only contain easy picking targets, there are many aggressive type monsters like the 'rock hyena' which will send careless player back to the respawn point.

Through his experience in playing the game, Ryou started to move around the fields while taking careful observation to his surroundings. To tell the truth, Ryou died once earlier because he lost his footing and fell down to a trap hole. The trap hole was supposed to trap monster and it was a skill of [survivalist] class. It also adds to the 'dangerous list' on Ryou's mental note that the other player can also be a threat. That experience also causing Ryou to spend not a little bit of time to study about other class skill, but it was only limited to the class skill that is posted on the forum. As for secret class skill, nobody was stupid enough to share them or let other players know that they have a unique class. After all, if someone found out and become jealous, they can be targeted and if they keep getting PK-ed (player kill-ed) and stay at level 1, having a unique class will be more of a curse than a blessing.

Finally, Ryou arrived at his destination. Looking around, it doesn't take long for him to find the 'fire falcon' that he is targeting. Taking out his bow and arrow, he started his hunt.

Inside a room of a hospital, a weak looking girl is lying down on a bed. Her small face is perfectly complimented by round and clear eyes with thin eyebrow. Her small lips are opened due to some hose that is inserted through the small mouth. Her pale face didn't make her look sickly but it is giving her 'otherworldly' and untouchable aura. Her long hair is colored white, as if nothing in the world can taint it. On her side, her parents are looking at her with a sad face. It was unknown what was the cause but her eyes were still full of determination as if she was telling to her parents that she was okay without even making a sound from her mouth.

Not long, a doctor comes in and talked to the parents: "So, I am not 100% sure but I think it would give us some improvement."

Hearing that, the parents are crying and their expression are different from earlier. It was now filled with hope. "Even if the chance is 0.0001%, I am still willing to take it."

With eyes full of love, the mother looked at her daughter. "Did you hear that? There is still hope."

The girl's eye then let out a drop of water that seemed to be tears. However, she couldn't see anything because some kind of black screen are placed in front of her. She seemed to lose consciousness for a while before she heard a man's voice running inside her mind.
