Life With A System

While touching him, I felt happy.

While touching him, I felt that I would be able to stay strong.

After getting up, he didn't leave me.

Before dinner, he would teach me how to cook. During dinner, he would talk to me lots. After dinner, we would sometimes go outside and play or relax at home, together.

This continued for a little over a year. After that, he would stay in his room more and more. Having less time for me. I did all the things he taught me and eventually become responsible like him.

I snuck into his room one night and saw that he fell asleep with his phone still on.

On his phone, I saw that he was reading about a world where there are myriads of virtual worlds. As he slept, I read the book on his phone. I didn't want him to give up what he likes to do just so that I can replace it, thus I endured.

Two weeks ago, I saw the game Second Reality was released. In school, my classmates would talk about it. Online, it was said that the game is akin to a second world.

I thought brother Shishu would join the game since it's free and he liked reading about it.

I thought so… I truly did.

But NO!

He did not! Doesn't he know that you can play in your sleep?! Doesn't he know it's free?! If he played, I would be able to spend time with him while he does something he likes! URGHH he makes me really mad.

I mustered up my courage and told him to play it!

But right now, he is just eating… What is he thinking about?! Is he mad at me?! Am I too harsh?? Why is he so quiet?!?! Brother did I do something wrong?? Please tell me and stop being so quiettttt!

M-Maybe I'll be able to see what he's thinking through his f-face?

'HOLY SH**! MAN! SYSTEM! How the heck do I even level up?! I forgot to ask! Why is the EXP bar so big??'

Rewards through achievements.

Repeatedly sufficient when doing a specific task.

Killing organisms that are at least of a small structure.]

Hearing the System, Shishu thought it was madness. He surely couldn't kill something that is of at least a small structure unless he joins a slaughterhouse.

Shishu felt the system was really ridiculous. If he gains 50 EXP per minute, it'll still take him almost 34 hours to level up. What's more, he doesn't know of any way to gain EXP at the moment.

Gaining achievements is totally random, he doesn't know what kinds of task he must do, and killing live animals for fun is out of the question!

"H-Hey brother what are you thinking about?"

Lina's voice interrupted Xia Shishu's thought and chat with the system.

"I was wondering if I should get the gaming equipment today or tomorrow. Why?" Xia Shishu said with a smile, trying to not anger his little sister. Why did he have to stay on his sister's good side? Is it because of her food or is it because he doesn't want her to start scratching herself again with a box cutter? He doesn't want any of it! None! It's better to stay on her good side.

"You should get it tomorrow when you come home. I saw that the line is pretty long today when I passed by Second Reality's building. Ohh here brother Shishu, the money for the week. Sorry… I took your money last week… because I used a little too much when I was shopping for new p.a.n.t.i.e.s… And I didn't have enough money to buy our daily groceries…" Lina told Xia Shishu as she handed him a total of 500 yuan.

Xia Shishu gently looked at Xia Lina and handed 400 yuan back.

"Little sister, you're a girl. Treat it as I bought those for you. You can have a little bit of brother's allowance. Brother wants you to buy whatever you like okay? As for the gaming equipment, I'll do as you say." Xia Shishu told his sister. What can he say, his sister is quite thoughtful right?

Seeing Lina smiling happily and finishing up her plate of food, Xia Shishu did the same thing.

They cleaned the kitchen together and went to their own room. Xia Shishu didn't care about the daily homework assignments either. Since all he had to do was cram everything in on the day before the big tests and he should be alright with a decent grade.

With nothing to do, Xia Shishu just kept thinking about his System and Second Reality.

He could already think of all the upgrades he would get once he finds out a way to grind EXP for his System Level!

He also couldn't wait to start playing Second World. If his system works in Second world, wouldn't he be playing a game within a game? Hahaha! How great would that be?!

"If I become overpowered… heh heh…"

He thought about how he could make his family and classmates baffled by suddenly becoming awesome… How funny would their face look like? By then, he would hear endless praises!
