'It really is getting harder and harder to level up these days.'

'It's harder to level my light shroud skill because it is a pure active skill unlike my light absorption skill which absorbs light passively.'

'The light absorption can also be used as an active skill as well making it easy to level. I feel that this skill will be my main source strength even after I evolve further.'

'To think it's base form came from a Yaban. It really is a blessing in disguise that I was reincarnated as a Yaban.'

'I have been trying to focus on my light shroud skill more, but it'll probably take another week or so for me to level it again.'

'It looks like it's going to be a while before my next rank up even if I reach max level. I'll have to wait until my skills reach max again to make the most of my rank up.'

'For now I'll go back into the forest to hunt and I'll come back tonight to advance to the next part of my plan with the wolves.'

Now that the wolves knew that their members were missing it was becoming harder and harder for Josh to stay hidden.

For that reason Josh decided to take a different approach on his wolf hunting plans.

Since they already know he is hunting them he'll be more active without fear of exposing himself.

'I'll kill any groups of wolves I find instead of avoiding them like I have been doing. Even if I can't kill them instantly and they call for help I'll kill them then dip.'

'I won't even try to hide the bodies anymore as there is no use hiding at this point and it honestly takes too much time.'

'Though I'll still have to make trips to a river or stream nearby every now and then to wash the blood off me so that they can't track me down with it.'

'Even then it'll be multiple times more efficient than the way I have been slinging things.'

'This way I can get rid of the wolves at a faster pace.'

'The time to confront the alpha is nearing, but I'll have to check in on the wolf den whenever I get the chance in case they decide to migrate because of me hunting them.'

'Anyways, I should just be focusing on what's happening right now and worry about the wolves when it's night.'

Joshua runs deeper into the forest practicing his skills hoping to find a worthy foe to practice on.

...

Joshua was having a hard time finding a good opponent to fight with. The creature that he found would either be too weak or might be too strong so he avoided them.

All this time he only found one creature that looked like a mix between an ostrich and a dinosaur that was a good match.

Joshua had a fulfilling fight and barely won through the skin of his teeth. Through these battles, though dangerous, Josh had been acc.u.mulating a rich amount of battle experience.

Though not as much as the creatures who were born and raised in the cruel forest, he was catching up.

It was on the the few disadvantages of being reincarnated from a human in a peaceful society. There was a large gap between Joshua and actual wild creatures. That gap was slowly, but surely closing.

Joshua knew what he was lacking and was making efforts to close that gap. Other than getting levels this was the main reason for Joshua to often go hunting in the forest despite the apparent dangers.

While finding others to train on Joshua had abruptly stopped at the sight of a familiar figure.

Joshua whilst in the forest found a wandering Pigman picking herbs.

'Did I unconsciously come near the area that the goblin village originally located before they moved?'

'Whatever I'll just get rid of this Pigman.'

'Wait!' It was that that Joshua thought of a brilliant idea. 'Why don't I follow it to its home since I didn't get the chance to last time due to wanting to meet the goblins.'

'I could then try to attack them in the open and retreating when needed. This would give me practice for when I attack the wolves tonight.'

The more that Joshua thought about it the more the plan sounded better in his head.

'I could also come back here during the day and during the night I would go to the wolf den!'

'This way I can level my skills and actual levels twice as fast! I would also not have to run around randomly in forest hoping to find an opponent that's at or under my level!'

'Brilliant! That's what I'll do! Great thinking me!'

'Sometime my brilliance scares even myself.'

*Sigh*

'At this point I feel like soon my already high IQ is going to transcend the mortal limits...'

'It's like Saitama, but only it's not my body that's broken it's limiter it's my brain.'

'It's truly lonely being at the peak.'

Joshua stares into the distance with a desolate look in his eyes.

If someone saw Joshua now and didn't know the narcissistic thoughts running through his head they would wonder how someone could look so lonely.

As if he had been abandoned by the world...
