Lightning Sage

Three months later, Itachi's team distinguished themself the most among all Genin teams and was given the mission to guard the Fire Daimyō during his annual trip to Konoha.

Unfortunately, During the mission, the convoy was attacked by a masked individual. Itachi's team lost one of its members, Tenma Izumo. He was killed by the masked man right in front of Itachi, which made him awaken his Sharingan.

After returning from the mission, his other team member left the team and quit being a shinobi altogether. Both his teammates were replaced by two freshly graduated Genins, which made it hard for Itachi to become Chuunin for the second time.

Awakening his Sharingan at such a young age made the Uchiha elders support him even more. He was the future clan head, a genius never seen after Madara. Itachi started attending the meetings under the Naka shrine, unbeknownst to Raiden, who, even though was genius of the same calibre as Itachi, was not allowed to attend because he was only half Uchiha even if he had the Sharingan.

This made it so he was alone most nights that Itachi and Shisui attended the meetings, so he started training in a forest on the borders of Konoha.

After four months of training, it was close to the end of the year and Radien was walking home from the training grounds. Today, The Uchiha clan head and his family were invited to the birthday of the Hyuga clan princess, so Itachi was not coming to train and Shisui was out on a mission.

He went home, had dinner and left towards the forest were he trained usually.

"Time to train my Sharingan." he started training his Sharingan. In the dark forest, his eyes shined red with two tomoe while he flickered from target to target shooting shuriken towards them.

His Sharingan had finally evolved to two tomoe before Itachi awakened his and he was still training his eyesight so that he could master it and catch up to Itachi.

Itachi was a real genius with the Sharingan, his eyes awakened to two tomes instantly and with training from the elders and the clan head he was mastering them very fast.

After finishing his shuriken training he started to meditate and circulate his chakra in his eyes to strengthen his eyes' chakra pathway system.

A few hours later, Raiden opened his eyes and looked at the moon. It was around midnight he got up and was getting ready to leave when he spotted something, two chakra signatures. One is bigger than the other by two to three times, most likely an a.d.u.l.t and a child.

He looked closer and realised the smaller one was inside a bag.

'A kidnapping?' Thought Raiden before flickering towards the man.

As he got closer he realised that the man was wearing Kumo Shinobi clothes.

'So it is a kidnapping, but who? If I remember correctly this forest is closest to the Hyuga clan. So they took a child for their Byakugan huh' Thought Raiden while speeding up even more.

As he got close he heard the man say "I'm finally out of their detection range, I'll use the gap in their barrier to slip out and I'll be able to deliver this brat to the Raikage easily."

While the Kumo shinobi was thinking that, Raiden felt another signature approaching extremely quickly.

'That must be the Hyuga coming for the child. I'm sure he already saw me and that shinobi. Well, I'll give him a hand or else he might think I'm with him.' He thought before flickering behind the Kumo ninja grabbing the bag from his hands and using Lightning Release: Thunder, only instead of the normal small sparks it was a lot bigger.

The Kumo shinobi looked behind him when he felt the bag disappear only to find countless lightning sparks around him. He was struck by most of the sparks and was knocked out.

Raiden looked inside the bag to find a girl no more than 3 or 4 looking at him, he took her out of the bag and undid the ropes binding her before using them on the Kumo ninja.

At this moment the man came in and stood in front of the girl. He looked at Raiden binding the Kumo shinobi, but before he could say anything, Raiden said: "I leave turning him in, to you, I don't really want to attract attention just yet."

Raiden said and looked at the man before saying: "Please don't kill him, he could be used as a political tool." The man flinched and realised he was trembling with his hands clenched while looking at the Kumo shinobi.

Raiden nodded at him then flickered away.

'Who was that kid?' Thought Hiashi before sealing the man's tenketsu then taking his daughter and the man to the Hokage's office.

Raiden went home and hoped that man will respect his wish and say nothing about him.

The following day, he heard from Itachi that the Kumo delegate, that was supposed to sign the treaty with Konoha, was caught by the Hyuga clan head trying to kidnap his daughter.

The Hokage used him to pressure the Raikage into giving them the B-rank Lightning Release: Chakra Mode and 750 million Ryo.

'Ah, I could have really used that Jutsu.' Thought Raiden.

"Anyway, let's start training. I've finally mastered waterfall walking and want to test what changes it made to my chakra control in battle." Said Raiden. they then started sparring with each other using only ninjutsu to see what effect waterfall walking had on his chakra control.

Raiden found out that he had almost no wasted chakra. when he told Itachi, he gave him an idea.

"Maybe you should learn medical ninjutsu if you have such fine chakra control. There should be books about the human body in the academy. you still have two months till you graduate so you should be able to read them."

With this, he started reading a different type of books and decided to ask his mother to teach him medical ninjutsu since she works in the hospital. (A/N: I know I never mentioned this, but it is logical as she was a medical ninja and now needs a source of income.)
