Lightning Sage

Jiraiya and Raiden entered and heard Naruto's loud voice. He was laughing while telling a story. Aino who was preparing dinner was listening to him talking about his new friends, Shikamaru and Choji. (A/N: personal opinion: Shikamaru is 100% the friend Naruto deserved. He was there for him as a kid and dedicated his life to support his dream.)

"I'm home." Said Raiden in an audible voice.

Naruto and Aino both heard him.

"Oh, you're back. welcome home." Said Aino oddly calm for not seeing her son for a week.

"Welcome back, Raiden-Nii-san." Said Naruto loudly.

He and Jiraiya both entered the kitchen.

"Jiraiya-sama you're also here, you should've said something." Said Aino, a bit surprised at his presence.

"It's okay, I'm only here to take Naruto home."

"no-no, you have to have dinner with us."

Jiraiya agreed to have dinner with them before sitting down with Naruto.

"Mom, why does it seem like you didn't miss me or worry for me at all?"

"Well, You're going with Jiraiya-sama, there is no way something could happen to you on a C-rank mission, and Naruto has kept me company for this week. I got to feel what it was like having a child in the house again not just a training addict who only comes home for food." She said reproachfully on how much he trained.

"Eh, then don't worry, tomorrow is a day off. I'll stay with you all day, I'll even go to the hospital with you."

"Aren't you sneaky? you want to go to the hospital to see how we use the medical Jutsu but I'll accept it."

Raiden laughed with his mother and they went towards the dinner table.

"Thank you for taking care of Naruto for the week Aino-chan. I'll have to trouble you again the day after tomorrow as we have another mission."

"no-no, it's no trouble at all. I am alone most of the time anyway and Naruto is a breath of fresh air."

"Then thank you for doing it."

After that, they had dinner before Jiraiya took Naruto and left.

The following day, Raiden went with his mother to the hospital and observed how they used the medical ninjutsu with his Sharingan and realised how his vision was enhanced.

He was now able to see much clearer, almost down to the cellular level. He realised he should probably experiment to know where his limits lie. He decided to ask Shisui after coming back from the mission to help him with his experiment.

He spent the rest of the day observing the doctors and medical ninja doing their job and learned quite a bit on how the mystical palm Jutsu, the Jutsu used by them, worked.

After going home he spent the rest of the day with his mother, telling her about his progress. He also told her about how his mission went and she consoled him and made him know that it was the right choice.

His mother told him about how she and Naruto spent their time. She would leave Naruto with Mikoto while at work then come home and cook him lunch then taught him how to read for a couple of hours, before taking him to the park with Mikoto and Sasuke, where they met the other moms and children.

She told him how Naruto started hanging out with the sons of the Nara and Akimitchi clan heads. Now the children won't avoid him for no reason as their parents no longer dare to tell their children to avoid him, as they are afraid of the punishment.

Danzo, the one who wanted the people to shun Naruto, wasn't able to do anything as he knew that even if Hiruzen didn't say anything when he leaked it, he would do something if he barged into his office and asked him why he stopped the kid from being bullied by the villagers.

Especially with Jiraiya now in the village and taking care of Naruto personally. He wanted to say something about the Uchiha taking care of him but wasn't able to as Jiraiya was his godfather and he decided who takes care and interacts with Naruto.

The following day, Raiden prepared himself for the mission to Kusagakure and went to Meet Jiraiya at the gates.

Jiraiya did the same as last time, he sent Naruto to Aino using a shadow clone after breakfast.

They checked for their supplies and after making sure everything was right they set off to Kusagakure.

Four days later, they were near the gates of Kusagakure.

"Ok, this is a simple delivery mission. We talk to the guards, I deliver the scrolls containing their Ninja and I go talk to their Kage to reaffirm our status as allies, as I am considered a political envoy even when doing a mission. While I talk to the Kage, you can roam around for a bit. When I am done, I'll send you a signal using this." Jiraiya summoned a frog and gave him to Raiden.

"Yes sensei."

They reached the gate and Jiraiya approached the guards.

"I am Jiraiya the Sannin from Konoha. I am returning some missing-nin to our allies, Kusagakure if you would please receive them."

The guards looked at each other before one of them went to confirm if they had received word about this. He came back a couple of minutes later.

"I am sorry for delaying you, please head to the main building to deliver them."

Jiraiya nodded and entered the village with Raiden. They walked towards the main building and reached there a couple of minutes later.

Raiden went with Jiraiya to deliver them. After delivering them, they got the proof of completion then Jiraiya was invited to speak with the Kage.

"Ok, you explore for a bit, I'll be back in a few minutes."

Raiden nodded and went out of the building. He noticed a lot of injured ninja heading towards a building that looked like a hospital and decided to explore.
