Liming

"Huanghu!", a voice called.

"Huanghu, wake up!", the voice grew larger.

'Eh? Someone called my name instead of Aurora's.' When Huanghu thought for a little while, she remembered the disturbing events that happened the past few days.

She jolted awake and immediately stood up in a fighting stance.

"Where...", the next words she was about to say were stuck in her throat because right in front of her a huge moss-green dragon lay asleep.

'What the f.u.c.k!', she shouted internally.

'What happened to common sense? Why is my transmigration full of overpowered shit? Aren't I supposed to start as a young miss in an abusive family who would secretly power-up before I face my enemies and do some face-slapping? Why is it that when I arrived in this world, I am always in these last boss scenarios?', Huanghu complained.

"You are dead this time.", The voice that was calling her earlier although displeased had a tinge of pitiful tone. It was unsure whether it was feeling pity for himself or Huanghu.

"Explain the situation Blacky One!", she demanded.

"Blacky!", he twitched. Now he regretted but he no longer retaliated and instead just gave out a sigh.

"He's from the dragon clan. Similar to our demon clan, they also existed with us thousands of years ago. They are mighty and they ruled the skies. Based on his color, I'm guessing he harnesses the wind. I knew there are still a few dragons left but I never expected to see one in this world. But as to why and how he is here in front of you, I don't know."

"Demon clan and dragon clan...", Huanghu contemplated. "How many clans were there?", her eyes gleamed.

"Uhh, why are you asking?"

"Just curious."

Is it just him? Somehow, Huanghu's response gave him goosebumps but then he answered anyway, "There were nine powerful clans in total. But as to how many are left, the last time I was here three hundred years ago, three were confirmed to have been annihilated."

"Why? And who is behind all these?", she inquired.

"Who else but those damn humans who claim to have reached the heavens!", he snorted.

"Wait, what? We humans that you so despise?", Huanghu was shocked and confused at the same time.

"Don't get it wrong. Right now, we are currently located on the lowest plane. Although spiritual qi is present, it is very tiny compared to the highest plane in this dimension. The humans that you've met here are considered...", Yi Hou stopped to think. "Uhh, they're like a small stone and a truly powerful cultivator in the highest plane is like Mount Tai... No Mount Everest!!!"

Yi Hou scrunched his eyebrows, "Ah forget it! Even if I compare them to the moon, it would be considered an understatement."

"This...", Huanghu didn't know what to feel. Earlier she thought the heavens are too harsh on her transmigration... But, the heavens are actually already being very generous and placed her in the lowest plane!

"As to why, of course, greed."

She then sighed. Even if Yi Hou doesn't explain further, she already gets it. That's human nature.

She slapped her face with her palms. Forget about the higher planes and clans right now, she has to make sure that no one is able to bully her anymore on this plane. She first has to make sure to be the most powerful starting on this continent. But now, this crisis in front of her... a dragon.

Contrary to what normal people would do, which is to be sneaky and run away, Huanghu sat crossed-legged on the ground.

"What are you doing?", Yi Hou reprimanded her.

"What do you think? I'm sitting. I'm going to wait for this dragon to wake up.", she replied like its just a matter of fact.

"You are out of your mind! That thing in front of you is a dragon! Do you hear me? A dragon! God! We're you even listening to me earlier? Or are you just dumb to get how big the picture is?

Huanghu raised her hand and rubbed her temple with her right thumb.

She thought, if only there's duct tape in this world, she would be sticking one on this demon fire's mouth when she doesn't need any information.

"Use your brain sometimes, Blacky One.", she berated. "This dragon could've eaten me a long time ago, but he didn't. In fact, it looks like he even saved me from drowning in that black lake over there.", Huanghu then pointed her finger at that eerily dark body of water.

She then continued, "The powerful clans are currently being hunted. What is a dragon doing here in this plane if not because he was hiding?"

"He saved me because he wanted me to do something for him. So instead of running away and being killed in the process, I'll just wait for him to wake up and hear what he has to say. If worse comes to worst, I'll just hand you over for him to eat."
