Ethan looking at it couldn't help but smile a little. It was Mike releasing a brighter glow of golden light.

Hugh: Mike. You were fine.

Mike: Yea...

Mike couldn't even finish speaking as the golden glow disappeared falling to the ground.

Ethan: Finish him Hugh!

Hugh: On it.

Hugh immediately rushed at the Ogre ripping his c.h.e.s.t apart taking out it's heart and crushing it with his hand.

'Congratulation you have surpassed the Ogre level and for that some information shall be given. Every 10 minutes a new wave will come, but now you have to kill the monster before processing to the next one. It's no longer a matter of time. Enjoy your break.'

Ethan: Psss.... I am tired.

Hugh: Me too.

Hugh walking over to his side laid Mike on the ground beside him before he fell to the ground transforming back to his human form.

Seeing the three laying on the ground, the girls on the roof smiled at this. Going down they carried them back to the roof. It was the least they could do after all of their work.

They even massaged their whole stressed bodies. Martha took care of Hugh while Veronica, Ana and Josephina took care of Mike trying to restore his energy and conscience, and Rias took care of Ethan starting by massaging his sore shoulders.

9 minutes later.

Rias: Time is almost up.

Ethan: Thank you.

Rias: It's nothing. It's the least I could do.

Ethan: No. I really am grateful. Here I will let you on something that I know. It will relieve your mind of all the stress involving this f.u.c.k.i.n.g trial.

Rias: Okay. What is it?

Ethan: Here.... so if you think about it.... do you understand?

Rias. It all makes sense now. No wonder they called it that way.

Ethan: You mustn't tell anyone about this. I know that it's being cruel and cold to them but it's a must for promoting growth.

Rias words caused Ethan to stunned like a statue. The two of them had first met around two to three years ago. Ethan had a good opinion of Rias. She was lovely, kind, beautiful and intelligent. She didn't had any visible bad characteristic of her visibly.

Ethan: I....

Rias: You don't have to answer it for now. Just wanted for you to know my feelings.

Ethan: Thank you Rias.

'Break over. Good luck.'

As the voice fell a ripple appeared in front of them, a purple scaled, humanoid creature appeared. It had purple scales all over it's body. It had two large horns on it's head and red eyes. While a purple tail could be seen stretching from his back. A darkish purple mist was being emanated by it.

Hugh: What the hell?

Ethan: A Demon.

Hugh: How do you want to do this?

Ethan: We are without Mike so our overall battle power dropped. The only two of us can fight against him. Pay attention to his movements as they are known for their cunningness and magic mastery.

Hugh: So like in the previous time and engage in close combat.

Ethan: Basically. None of us possess a range ability even there is just one more batch of 'spears' the girls can throw to help us.

Hugh: Ai... this is going to be tough.

Ethan: Calm down and analyze each situation before acting.

Hugh: Okay. Let's go.

Ethan: Yes.

Standing on the edge of the roof, both of them took a step forward falling to the ground.

The Demon immediately turned towards it's eyes at them extending it's arm at them firing a group of Fire Balls at them.

Ethan and Hugh immediately dodge the attack by moving to the side as they at the same time rushed at the Demon.

The girls on the roof grabbed onto their last batch of 'spears' while Mike continued laying down on the ground breathing weakly.

After a rounds of dodging the incoming spells Hugh and Ethan managed to engage the Demon in a close combat putting it in a tough spot as Hugh in his Werewolf Form simply possessed high speed and strength while Ethan had the most lethality and cunningness of the two causing the Demon pay most of his attention to his back and the shadows allowing for injuries to fill his body as time passed.

ROAR

BOOM

Enraged by the progression of the events, the Demon roared loudly kicking Hugh and punching Ethan away before his wings started flapping taking flight in the sky.

Ethan: NOW! TO ME!

Whoosh

Ethan seeing this rolled a bit on the ground to minimize the momentum he had from blocking the Demon punch while positioning his body looking at the Demon flying in the sky.

The Demon immediately fired Fire Balls at the two of them. Hugh dodge the attack as he retreated back to the gym building gaining distance from Ethan slowly. Ethan on the other hand jump in the air grabbing on the thrown 'spears'.

Ethan: HUGH!

Hugh: I KNOW!

Hugh hearing Ethan accelerated climbing over the walls of the gym building jumping up high after the Demon who looked down mockingly at him firing a giant Fire Ball at him.

Whoosh

Puff

Suddenly the sense of danger of the Demon fired as he flew to the side. Unfortunately as he was in the sky his agility and reactions were slowed allowing him to be hit by a wooden 'spears' that had pierced through his purple scales as if they were butter screwing his whole left leg.

Lowering his gaze the Demon glared at Ethan that was holding onto four more 'spears' aiming at him.

ROARRRRR

As the Demon was about to release a roar, a stronger one came from the giant Fire Ball it had fired turning to look it found that the Werewolf was piercing through the giant Fire Ball burning.

Whoosh

Puff

Roar

Seeing this sight caused a fear to be born in the heart of the Demon as it tried to fly away. It didn't go far before another 'spear' pierced through his right wing, causing him to stagger and roar in pain.

Hugh taking advantage passed through the Fire Ball hugging the Demon stabbing his claws on the Demon sides before biting on it's neck.

The Demon couldn't do anything as another sound of wind being pierced came as he felt his whole right arm become numb together with his remaining leg. Right now it just had one wing and arm fine.

Not being able to maintain it's flying state the Demon together with Hugh started falling to the ground while Ethan on the ground rushed at their position throwing his last 'spear' piercing through the remaining wing, causing their drop speed to increase.

Ethan: "I am getting a better understanding of my powers."

Boom

After a while Hugh came out of a crater where he and the Demon fell with a purple heart in it's hand crushing it.

At that moment when all of them were waiting for the voice of the void to come and announce their victory and progression to the next level. A hand could be seen stretching from the crater aiming at the gym building.

Ethan: Huh? NO!!!!!

Hugh noticing something wrong turned around only to find the Demon hand firing Fire Ball at the roof of the gym building.

The two of them couldn't do anything as they saw their group and friends die burning to the ground.

Hugh: MARTHA!!!

Enraged Hugh forgot about his own wounds ripping apart every corner and piece of the Demon body. Finishing he sadly walked to the burning building falling to the ground breathing his last breath.

Ethan didn't do anything to stop him as he simply watched over this scene. There was no meaning to stop Hugh now. He had numerous and deep wounds through his body from the battle with the Demon. It would be cool if he rested right after ending the fight but seeing his lover dying in front of him caused his mind to snap. There was no salvation to him.

'Congratulation you have surpassed the Demon level and for that some more information shall be given. For each wave conquered points will be given. Enjoy your break.'

Hearing the voice from the void, Ethan sat on the ground watching the gym building burning as time slowly passed.

As the voice fell a ripple spread across in the sky as a golden being appeared, it had scaled wings, two big horns on it's head, red eyes, golden scale covered him and a golden scaled tail stretching from his back. A bright golden glow was being emanated by it. A Golden Dragon.

The moment the Dragon appeared it opened it's mouth releasing a terrifying fire on the ground turning everything to ashes while the ground started burning. There was no trace of Ethan as he died under the breath of the Dragon.
