Stepping outside they felt the rain falling on their skin soaking them wet. Not much time passed before the golden rain reached them.

After a while Rias and Martha came to outside as the golden rain fell on them.

Drawing his sword, Ethan cut down the roots as he continue approaching the black statue. Just as he was about to reach it a strong black aura was emanated from the statue knocking Ethan back.

As Ethan was thinking, the statue wasted no time sending even more roots at him.

Reacting Ethan cut the roots coming at him with ease. The Sharigan increased his perception making it seem that time flow was slower to him.

This time Ethan maintained his distance he could see that the black aura of the statue was only a temporary buff.

After a while as the black aura was slowly dissipating, Ethan felt a pain in his head as if there was a needle piercing through his brain.

With the pain his reaction slowed down, but the roots still couldn't hit him as he backed away a little to create more distance to the statue.

Ethan: "Even mind attacks? Control over the plant life in the mansion..... and a strong spirit to cause such damage to my mind while I am Rank 4.... could it be..."

As Ethan took a step back the speed on the roots slowed almost not moving at all, at the same time the black aura of the black statue was gone.

Seeing this Ethan moved forward bypassing the roots with ease before swinging his sword at the black statue.
