Knowing this Ethan immediately called Mila and Carlos to the meeting room where the three were. The two doctors were placed to take care of Martha. At the same time Martha was forbidden from doing anything related to work, as her and Hugh were to be confined in their room (Hugh Room).

Pregnancy would weakened one condition and in this kind of situation where diseases are everywhere and some unknown with the apocalypse. It was better to take all kind of arrangements to ensure the safety of Martha.

As time passed, 1 month went by.

During that time Mike had returned with the Heavy Truck filled with countless utensils and pieces of winter clothes. He also brought a small group of people this time that joined the Human side of their territory, among them was a woman that had previously worked on fabricating clothes.

Cecily remained watchful for any attack or vortex opening near them. The stress on her and Ethan increased by each day.

Both of them knew that it was impossible for not any vortex open up again, so the only possibility was that the next time they would open up it will be a disaster.

At the same time Vera and Rias had progressed a lot in attributing the amount of points to each vegetable known. The Horse Beast Tribe had contributed a lot in filling their storage of food. To reward them Ethan had decided to make every single member of the tribe that worked hard to rise to Rank 2.

The Humans were jealous of the treatment Ethan had given to the Horse Beasts, causing them to scream in protest and curse at Ethan and the rest.

Neither of them lived to see the sun the next day. At the same time, the leader of the humans was punished for not managing well the situation.

Ethan was currently in his room looking out from his window.

Ethan: "Like I thought. Humans are anything but loyal. Every kind of being has d.e.s.i.r.es and ambitions to rise and be the best and reign over everyone at their feet, but they are so f.u.c.k.i.n.g stupid. Still with the ideals of equal rights."

Thinking about this Ethan directed his gaze to the Human side where more people had started working hard on the fields, but the number couldn't be compared with the Horse Beast side. Not to mention that after they rise in ranks to Rank 2 their use of energy was lower, so they focused on more matters like strengthening the already existing buildings, helping Howard and Kenny Team by doing all kind of tasks for them.

Ethan: "There is only benefits for them to work like the horse beasts, but they still insist only living their lives peacefully relaxed without a worry in the world. At least some of them have learned that the ways of the world have changed."

Cecily: Master.

Suddenly Cecily appeared beside Ethan bowing a little to thim.

Ethan: What is it?

Cecily: I have been feeling a strange fluctuation of energy coming from the surrounding air and earth.

Ethan: Could it be the vortexes?

Cecily: It feels similar that the last time.

Ethan: Well we already have been getting ready in case this happens.

Cecily: The thing is that I felt a strong energy as well from Martha that didn't belong to her.

Ethan: It must be her child. Go see Mila and Charlos to see if everything is alright with her.

Cecily: Will do master.

Ethan: "Mike and Veronica came back just in time. Hugh and Martha is out of the picture because of her pregnancy. Vera, Gloria and Jenna won't be available as well. Vera has her healing ability that will be needed in a dangerous situation."

Looking up at the sky, Ethan found that dark clouds were slowly forming.

Ethan: "The previous time was already dangerous. If this time the difficulty will increase then we may not even be able to handle it."

Sharigan appeared in Ethan eyes emitting his mythical purple glow.

Ethan: "Even it costs my life all of them shall survive through this ordeal."

A strong aura was being emanated by Ethan causing the furniture on his room to shake. Even Cecily that had returned couldn't help but feel fear deep inside her heart with Ethan aura.

Cecily: M-Master.

Ethan: So?

Cecily: They said that unexpectedly the baby may be born extremely ahead of time.

Ethan: Huh? How come?

Cecily: They don't know, but they think that it must because of the mutated energy from the apocalypse.

Ethan: "Martha being at Rank 6 possess a strong body that should be able to endure the burden of an earlier childbirth. Hmm... there is no one besides Vera and Martha that possess healing abilities."

Gripping his sword on the side, Ethan narrowed his eyes as he walked out of his room.

Descending the floating castle, Ethan bumped into Mike that seemed to be waiting for him.

Mike: Is it time?

Ethan: Yes. Cecily has felt a strange energy in the air.

Mike: I wasn't referring to that.

Ethan: How did you guess?

Mike: Just looking at your face tells me everything that I need to know.

Ethan: Sigh..... Martha is probably going to childbirth today.

Mike: ….. this is going to be tough.

Ethan: You will be the main force.

Mike: I am not worried about me. Even though it's not complete I have this feeling of invincibility.

Ethan: Don't let that get to your head. I initially though that we were safe with our high ranks, but I recently began to think that they are nothing more than baby steps.

Mike: How do you know?

Ethan: It's just a feeling I been having, besides this time vortexes event will determine if I am right or wrong.

Mike: What means if you are right?

Ethan: We are nothing more than grains of sand in the other worlds connected through the vortexes to ours.

Mike: It just means that we have to train and try harder.
