Little Miss Author

-Edward's POV, Tuesday morning, 2nd week of school-

I wish I could strangle my brother sometimes. He thought it was going to be a great idea to turn off my alarm clock and tell all of the servants and my mother that I had left early. Last night I stayed up late practicing the violin so he knew very well that I would be tired in the morning and sleep past my wake up time if there is no alarm clock or person to wake me up. I ended up leaving the house at 8 am and arriving at school 10 minutes before school started. It seemed Philip was also in on this plan as he didn't call me about it either. The only times I break my streak of things is when those two decide to interfere.

I also was not able to talk to Lisa in the morning too, and for first period she had CCT (creative & critical thinking) with Philip so I won't be able to see her until second period. When I complained to Albert during AAP class (animation & programming) he just sighed and said, "it is only one period. She is not going to fall for someone else straight away".

"But what about love at first sight?" I asked.

"I do not think she is the type to fall in love so easily like that".

"But still who knows what might happen".

*Sigh*. Albert turned his attention back to his work and left me to my great and cursive imagination.

Once period 2 had arrived I made my way to a science room where Lisa was chatting cheerfully with Brian. I held in my glare and went to my seat which was in front of Lisa's, turned around and talked to her, taking her attention away from Brian. Out of the corner of my eye I could see Brian glaring at me. Looks like I won this round.

Class started and to start the lesson the science teacher decided to separate the class into three with Philip being by himself, and have a mini competition. For the competition the teams had to write down as many detailed facts about any type of science they know in 5 minutes.

The teams were:

Philip.

Lisa, Brian and I.

Mary, Terry and Thalia.

Liam, Thompson and Claire.

I n the end Lisa, annoying and I got first place while Philip got second.

Once period 2 was over I got separated from Lisa so I decided to just find Philip and head to the hall for assembly. Once it was over I tried to look for Lisa again, but instead I found her friends. Her friends said Lisa was heading to the canteen to get some food, so I headed over there, but when I got there I was met with an unpleasant surprise.

Katerina Lee, the Princess of Underworld was talking to Lisa incredibly rudely. Just as I was about to step forward Philip grabbed my arm and said, "not yet".

I frowned and tried to get away but Philip held on tight so I could only silently curse the Princess of the Underworld.

When Katerina declared Philip was her fiance I couldn't help but let out a chuckle. Philip's face morphed into a frightening one, and he ended up joining the fuss.

I decided to watch from the side and when Mr Hobson arrived, and the Queen of Hell (aka Claire) appeared but was quickly pushed away, I thought it was time for me to leave until... Mr Annoying decided to appear and ask if he could go with Lisa...

I gritted my teeth as I heard the whispers of the people who had nothing better to do in their life except to ship two people who should not be together. I swear for my new story I am going to make Brian the villain.

I soon spoke out and asked if I could go with them too, giving me a glare from Brian. When I heard the whispers and saw Lisa blushing I smiled at her as I thought about how cute she was. Maybe some of these people aren't morons after all.... But then I heard the other whispers. Well it seems I'll have to show them that I am more fit than Brian.

For now I am just going to stick close to Lisa and hear Brodie lecture the others and give out punishments.

The school day went on and I couldn't hang out with Lisa during lunch or class time as Lisa was always with others.

Until luck struck me and for P.E when the gym teacher paired Lisa and I up together for warming up exercises. It was a great ten minutes and for the rest of the lesson we ended up playing hockey with 11BSC (year 11 Business Special Class). The teams were mixed up but I was luckily in the same team with Lisa, Philip and Albert. Mr Annoying was in the other team.

For after school on Tuesdays I should be with Lisa, and I would teach her on how to write a successful book, but since Steven isn't going to bring the contract until next week for me to sign I instead decided to invite Lisa out to a cafe.

After getting changed out of my P.E uniform I waited for Lisa in the lobby of the gym, and once she had left the changing rooms I walked up to her and asked if she wanted to go and grab some coffee. Some girls squealed and Lisa smiled wryly for a second before saying, "sorry but I am going to my dad's company to help out with some work. Thank you for the offer though".

Lisa then started to make her way out when I quickly said, "can I come with you then? I want to see how the company is going, and also because Luxit IT and Ink & Paper Heritage will be forming a partnership in two weeks".

"Okay but I will be taking the bus", answered Lisa.

"My assistant can just drop both of us off", answered Edward.

"Is that alright?"

"We're both going in the same direction so there is no difference".

"I will take that offer then".

I smiled in victory when Brian just had to be there and ask innocently, "do you mind if I come with you two".

"Sorry but there are some confidential things on the floor Edward and I are going to so they probably won't allow you to come up there, sorry", apologised Lisa.

"Oh that is alright. Another time then", said Brian.

"Yep, bye", smiled Lisa.

"Bye", sighed Brian.

Lady luck was truly on my side now as I escorted Lisa to the pick up stand where my assistant was waiting for me. Zack Wilton is a 24 year old male who has been with me since I was a baby. Zack's parents once owned a company and were very close to my parents, but one day something happened and it collapsed. My parents helped them get back on their feet and they ended up getting stable jobs, however the fortune they once had was never regained, and a lot of their fortune was used to pay for lawsuits. I am not exactly sure what happened to them as my parents did many things to keep it a secret so I decided to just let it go. In the end they settled down as middle class and their kids started living normal lives.

As I grew older Zack stayed by my side, and became my assistant when I started getting more work. He does have an annoying sister my age though, however I don't seen her much anymore ever since we got into an argument about me going to Wellington Rosalyn College. She wanted me to stay in the school I was going to previously as it was closer to her school, but I said no. She ended up trying for a scholarship to Wellington Rosalyn College, but failed.

She had been like that since young and was a spoiled girl; she was the inspiration for one of the most annoying characters in my book 'A Future Dream'. The story was about a boy who could tell the future and foretell events which seemed like a dream. The character inspired by Zack's sister was the male lead's childhood friend who knew about his secret, and kept trying to replace the heroine when it came to preventing a nightmare in the story. However each time the female and male lead ended up having to save her as she did not have the powers to protect herself properly.

At the end of the book I killed her off when in real life Zack's sister begged me to go to the same school as her when we left primary school. She is not like the book version of herself but she was still annoying and considers herself as my "childhood friend". She is one of the reasons why I have barely any female friends.

All hail Zack when he said his sister was staying at her school until 9 pm for a performance. Now I can stay with Lisa with less troubles.

When Lisa asked about it Zack just said, "an annoying sister. Do not worry about it".

(Lisa and Zack had already met).

"Is that okay?" Asked Lisa with concern.

"When it is her it is alright", sighed Zack who drove the car away from the school.

I still got a bad feeling about everything though, but at the same time it is not like she is going to appear in front of us like magic.

Well... Lady luck was just messing with me.

When Lisa and I got out of the car Emma Wilton, Zack's annoying sister approached us, came to my side, took my arm and asked in a sugary voice, "Edward why aren't you coming to my performance tonight?"

How did she even know I was here?!

I turned to Zack who held up Emma's phone. Later on I found out she left it in Zack's bag so she could find out where I was if I didn't show up.

People around us threw suspicious looks when Lisa said, "my Edward. I did not know you had such a sweet girl by your side while you were getting close to me".

Upon seeing the mischievous glint in her eyes, I knew I was going to be involved with a new scandal fresh on the page. I thought we were close now why is she doing this? What is she thinking?

Employees of Ink & Paper Heritage who exited the building looked at Edward with cold eyes as they walked up to Lisa and asked, "Lisa are you here to help your father?"

"Indeed. There is also a few things I wish to talk to him about", answered Lisa.

"Well he is currently in a meeting but it should end soon. For now would you like to come with us?"

"Of course since my original partner now has someone else accompanying him".

"What may the reason be for you to be here?" Asked a 43 year-old man who was Lester's secretary.

"Well I wanted to-".

I was abruptly interrupted as he said, "come back with your brother next time".

"Why are you down here Alec? Shouldn't you be with my father right now?" Asked Lisa.

"He wanted me to pick you up from school, but when he found out Edward was dropping you off here he instead told me to wait here for you. Now that you are here let's go", smiled Alec.

"Edward who is that girl?" Asked Emma with disgust.

The strings holding onto my restraint finally snapped and with an incredibly cold and chilling voice, I said, "For goodness sake. Do you think just because you have KNOWN me since childhood, and is my childhood FRIEND'S SISTER mean you can just come and pester me whenever you feel like it? You always try to hold me back and use my name everywhere and anywhere. Leave me alone".

I could tell people around us had chills running down their spines. Including the paparazzi who suddenly appeared.

It all disappeared when Lisa said with a warm smile, "Now now everyone. Let's all just get back to what we were previously doing".

Everyone except for Emma then went back to what they were doing, the security got rid of paparazzi, and Lisa stood in front of the building with the other employees.

Emma looked at me with wet eyes and asked, "Is that the truth? Or are you being pressured by that girl!"

"No. I would prefer to be with Lisa over you", I answered.

"What, but we're-".

"Emma". Zack turned to her and said with a stern voice, "Go back to school and prepare yourself for a lecture when you get back home. Sorry Edward but it seems I will have to drop off this idiotic little sister back at her school".

"It is no problem. I am only going to do some light talking so just pick me up here at 6 pm", I replied.

"Well... Okay then... Do not forget the work you have to do".

"Don't worry I will do it in time".

Zack soon left with his sister and when I turned around to find Lisa she was gone.

When I had asked around nobody would answer me properly. Apparently Lisa is treated very highly in the company and is thought of as a very kind and talented daughter who helps her father out with work. I wonder how they would feel if they found out the truth.

When I did end up finding her she was talking to Steven. When Steven saw me he said, "well isn't it the famous boy from the Luxit IT corporation. Going around and hurting others as you please how cold hearted. Come on Lisa let's go and find your dad".

Lisa and Steven then started to walk away, but before Lisa could get too far away I took her hand and led her to an empty conference room.

Lisa giggled and said, "So how is it going with Emma".

"Seriously I thought we were no longer against each other", I said with drooped eyes.

"Yes but.... I have my reasons".

"Reasons you can't tell me?"

"I don't have to tell you everything. We're only friends".

"But..."

I desperately wanted to say I wanted to be more than friends, but I quickly held that urge back and just bit my lip.

When Lisa turned to look at my face she showed a surprised look, looked at the ground and said, "I did it because I was annoyed".

"What?!" I shouted when I heard her words. Was she perhaps jealous?

"Ahaha I'm just joking. I just didn't want to get in more drama".

"Then why did you say those words earlier which created misunderstandings".

"Because I wanted her to know that I am your most closest person who is a female, and isn't a family member".

When she said those words I felt myself losing my composure once again. I slumped onto one of the chairs in the room, and Lisa sat next to me.

"Are you okay?" Asked Lisa with a cheeky tone.

"No. To say such words which can be misinterpreted easily", I sighed.

"What were you thinking?"

"You're pushing it too far Miss Tael".

"Am I going to be a Mrs soon?"

When she said that I melted down to the floor as she giggled. I know she was just joking and teasing me like she does with Brian... But I like to pretend she doesn't.

I ended up taking the bus home right afterwards. My mentality had reached its limit.

When I had reached home my brother just sighed while my mother pressed me for answers. At least Philip said he would control the rumors for me.
