Living With Another Soul

"This is our main room. We oversee the whole state of city, agents, and target." said her. I just stood dumbfounded. It's too shocking. It's very different than the one at HQ. When I still dumbfounded, Miss Ann give me 2 files.

"One is your personal data. Please confirm it. And your ID card is there." said her.

I regained my wits. I check the data. All of it was true and nothing is wrong.

"There is nothing wrong, Miss."

"That's good. Another one is your mission."

I opened the second file. It contain a personal data about someone. I read it till the end. When I finished, Miss Ann start to explain.

"In this mission, you'll be teamed with me. We'll go to First Time Club. The owner is suspected committing human trafficking. We got information that he was going to make a big deal 3 days later. We are assigned to capture the suspect and his partner in crime. Have a question ?" asked her.

"What about the victims ?" I asked her.

"Another department will take care of it. Another question ?"

"No."

"Good. I'll contact you 3 days later. Be prepared. You can go now."

I walked to the lift and press the button to the first floor. I walked out of the building and take a bus to my home.

Along the way I thought about how I could get out of the house three days later. If I tell my parent that I want to go out at night, they will be angry. I'll be scolded all the night, and maybe it will not stop at that. Maybe I'll be skinned alive. If my parent get angry, they will be very scary. I don't dare to imagine how it will be.

At home, I still in deep thought how to get out from house at night without noticed by my parent. My mother, seeing that I in deep thought, start to tease me.

"My my, Ryan is in deep thought. Maybe there will be a new formula tomorrow." said her with smile.

I just smiled at her when heard that. If she know that I was thinking about how to get out of the house at night, then she will be angry.

"Hey, Professor Ryan. What are you thinking ? Is there something wrong with your experiment ?" Not long after my mother's tease, Natalie start to tease me. I frowned at that. If my mother tease me that's okay. But if it's my sister, that's not okay. When I want to retort her, I have a sudden enlightenment. I'll have to bribe my sister, so I can get out of the house without noticed by my parents. When I thinking about that, smile emerged on my face. They let out a sigh at the same time when I let out a smile.

"Why do you sighing ? Is there something wrong ?" I asked them.

"No, nothing. Just, when we thought we can tease you when you are in deep thought, you are no longer in deep thought. It's a pity." said Natalie with sigh.

"Whaa..."

"Alright. Let's have dinner. Natalie, call your dad." said my mother.

"Okayy" Natalie replied.

Soon, Dad join us. We have a good dinner tonight.

After dinner, I knocked Natalie's room. I want to discuss about three days later.

"Hey, It's me. Can I go in ?" I asked.

"The door is not locked." she replied from inside. I opened the door and go into her room. Inside, she is playing her phone on her bed.

"What do you want ?" she ask coldly without looking at me. This little sister of mine is not even respect me anymore. I don't know why. Maybe because she know about me became an agent.

"If you have something than say it." she said once again. I frowned. This is too much. I really want to beat her.

"I need your help." I said seriously.

"What ?" she asked while looking at me. Now it's more likely.

"I need you to distract our parents at night three days later."

"Why ?"

"I need to go out at that time. If they know, they will be surely beat me up."

She didn;t answer me. She just keep looking at me.

"Is it about your matter with that woman before ?" she asked coldly. I noticed that she slightly tremble when saying that.

"Yes. It's for my mission. I need you to distract our parents so I can go out at night without noticed. And if it's possible, I need you to open the door when I'm back."

She trembled when I said that. She just keep looking at me, not bothering to answer. We just looking at each other for a few minutes. When I started to get impatient, she finally answer me.

"Do you really want to go ?" she asked.

"Yes." I replied without hesitation.

"O..kay. I'll help you." She said. I rushed to her and hug her excitedly when I hear her answer. She just keep silent. After a while, I realized that her body trembling. I release her and said my thanks. I quickly go out of her room and go to my room. I lie on the bed with smile on my face. I was excited that I finally can go three days later.

It's my first Mission. I wonder how my mission would be.
