What a way with words. Bai Yan was truly reliable in times of need.

That flattery sent surges of felicity rushing through Jin Li. Her rosy cheeks lifted as her sakura-pink eyes peeked through her narrowed eyelids. “Hmm, he has good taste. Indeed, without my superior looks, it would be tough to uphold its grace.”

His smile froze for a second. That straightforward self-praise still surprised Bai Yan even now.
