Love is a Sweet Poison

"See this is what I was trying to tell you about. We are here for you, care for you, and will do all that we can to protect you." Sachi leaned over and whispered so that only Amelia could hear her, "I will always love you." She moved away and blushed. 

Amelia looked at Sachi shocked then took her hand and she grabbed Ami's hand and dragged them to the meal that was set up. "Come let us eat out meals." Amelia sat down and was still a little red in her face. 

"Amelia, is your fever coming back?" Ami reached over and placed her wrist on her forehead and didn't feel the temperature spike. 

"It's nothing. Do not worry about it. It was just something embarrassing that I thought about." Amelia looked away and then glanced at Sachi who was as cool as a lily pad in a calm pond. 'I had no idea that Sachi thought of me in that way but then why is she willing to let me be with Gabriel?'

Sachi felt Amelia's eye staring at her and she reached over and tucked the hair behind her ear before leaning over. She whispered, "I will explain it to you after you make it through the night." She looked over at Ami who was trying to hear what was being said. "Ami, we will be having a lot of fun tonight. We need to find out the secrets Amelia is hiding from us." 

"Oh, that is right Amelia dodged the answer to our question we asked earlier. I will not allow you to escape us today." Ami rubs her hands together.

"What kind of question did you ask Amelia that would make her blush so hard?" Irene sat in front of the girls with Edna beside her. 

"I am curious as well. Will you enlighten us?" Edna giggles and looks at Amelia.

"Ummmm, do I have to share? This is rather embarrassing for me." Amelia looks at the faces of her friends and then at her Mothers.

The older ladies were waiting with anticipation when there was a knock on the door and a couple of maids entered the room bringing the ladies their dinner. Miyuki came over to Amelia and handed her the meal that she was to get and then went and placed her meal to the side. She went to the door and brought in the tea for Amelia and her friends and began pouring the tea. The other maids handed out the food and left the room. 

Amelia let out a sigh in relief that was short-lived when everyone was staring at her waiting for her to continue. "Ami, I hate you right now." 

"I love you too. Do you want me to repeat the question?" Ami watches as Amelia nodded her head. "Okay, so as you know we are girls and the first thing I asked was how far the two had gotten." 

Miyuki stumbled while going towards her seat but didn't drop the teapot. "It is no wonder Amelia is blushing so hard you must have startled her by asking that question." She placed the teapot down and watched the group. 

"My, my, it seems that my son really treasures you but it is also true that you fell asleep in his arms in the window sill. I remember walking into the room and seeing that. It was something that my son does not normally do. You are precious to him." Edna giggled at the end of her words. 

"See this is what I wanted to hear but the sweet kind gentle kisses you told us about were soothing to the soul." Ami places her hands together, "itadakimasu."

Sachi rubs Amelia on the back to calm her down. "Do not worry it is not like you did anything indecent and besides that is your betrothed there are no issues with him showering you with affection while you two are alone."

Irene gets up and goes to Amelia, "Sweetie, you are going to force an attack and you are not stable yet. We will set this topic aside and talk about it more another day." She helps Amelia sit up and waits for her to calm down. "There you go breath in and out."

"I'm so sorry, Amelia. I was not trying to set off an attack." Ami looks down dejected and completely worried about what she just about did.

Amelia took a few deep breaths trying to calm her mind down and she slowly sat up. She started coughing a little.

Sachi handed her handkerchief over, while still rubbing her back. "It will be okay if you do not need to panic. We are all here for you and I know that Ami didn't mean to set you off." 

Amelia finally stopped coughing and looked at the group, "I am sorry for causing you guys some alarm. I will be okay. It was just a minor attack. I felt it coming before I curled into a ball. I was trying to suppress it. You did nothing wrong, Ami." She looks at the handkerchief in her hands and shakes her head. "Sachi I will make you a new one in my spare time."

"There is no need for that. I carry it around with me just in case you need one and can't get to yours in time." Sachi goes back to her seat and places her hands together, "itadakimasu. We should eat before the food gets cold."

Amelia looks conflicted but also places her hands together. "Itadakimasu." She looks down at the food and picks up the meat bun and breaks it in half and starts nibbling on that. 

Ami went back to eating glancing at Amelia every so often worrying that she would go into another attack. She finishes the mean and keeps her eyes on Amelia the whole time.
