Love Is My Saviour

It's been over a week since Belle landed in Paris and all Belle has seen is her hotel room and Jay's enormous penthouse with a great view. But that couldn't have been all she sees before her holiday comes to an end.

Belle cleared her throat "Ahem, Jay? If you don't mind, I think I'm feeling well enough. I would like to explore the city".

"Uh sure. I could take you around. I could show you Paris."

"Thanks but no thanks. Jay, I know you mean well but you are Jay Joseph Pierre. If you were seen out with any woman, your life will be all over the internet".

"You know who I am?" Jay was in a shock when he heard Belle said that.

"As a matter fact, yes. At first I didn't know then a few days ago you appeared in the newspapers and the internet. So, well yes I do."

"Then I guess you also recall what happened on the night of the accident? I'm so sorry." Jay couldn't bring himself to look at Belle.

"Hey, it's okay. It was just an accident".

"I should have brought you to the hospital but I was only thinking about myself. I was absorbed in my thoughts and I didn't see you cross the road. I couldn't stop in time. I'm so sorry".

As Belle heard those words, she could see that Jay was really feeling guilty. She rushed over to Jay and hugged him.

"Jay, it wasn't just your fault. I was feeling upset and I ran across the road without looking left or right. I am also sorry."

Shocked by her hug and her response, he just didn't know what to do. Usually he has an answer for everything but with her, he felt awkward.

"Are you all right now? You are not feeling upset anymore are you? Want to talk about it?

"Thanks Jay, to be honest, I do drift in and out of sadness. I do not want to think about this issue anymore. I just want to spend the rest of my holiday before going back to reality".

Hearing her say that, Jay wanted to make her happy and ensure that she will have the best time of her life for the next few days.

"Belle, I would very much like to take you around. I have cleared my work schedule. I promise we will be discreet. Although our pictures might be taken by people, I guarantee you that you will enjoy yourself".

After many rounds of Jay trying to convince her, she said yes.

Smiling, Jay told Belle "Your first adventure starts at 5 am. I will see you at 4.30 am. Get some sleep".
