Love System: Changing Destinies

The banquet carries on as usual, with a bit more excitement than before. Both of the kingdom's heir and his aloof brother are there. Even if the crowd around those two are considered from the creme de la crop, the rest are still excited upon seeing and being in the same room with them.

As soon as the Fourth Prince arrives, the Crown Prince directly hauled him to meet the 'princess'. The Fourth Prince suddenly felt something stirred in his heart, like a tug of attraction towards that particular woman, thus he kept preventing the Crown Prince from leaving.

Sharing a look with his elder brother, he finally acknowledge the message he got just now. They both know who this 'princess' really is, an imposter, send by the foreign kingdom. However, if his brother also felt a stir in his heart upon meeting her, there must be something wrong. One have to wonder, what foreign power is binding their fate?

Half of his heart is tingling the whole time, while the other half is being kept alert by his mind. Even if his features is cold as usual, his mind and his heart are having a battle inside.

"Eh, isn't that the Fourth Prince's Consort?"

"Where? That guy? That handsome man is a ger?"

"I thought he isn't coming, since the Fourth Prince's already here."

"Perhaps he was left alone at home and now he comes to makes a scene!" ~giggles.

I keep a small smile as I enter the front hall, while straining my eyes to look around for my husband.

And yes, I heard all those chattering from the gossip monger. Gosh, if any of you want to sprout out such rumors could you at least be discreet about it?

Thankfully it wasn't hard to find my husband. Or rather, he's the one that found me first. I can feel my cheek muscles raised as he approach me, proud of how majestic he looks when the crowd part like the Red Sea, taking my hand from Xiao Er.

"I thought you were sleeping, my dear."

"You left me alone. I can't sleep." Why does that sound so spoiled in my ears?

And yes, we are donating a plentiful of dog food to the mass.

Great, the Halo of the Main Characters are finally playing its part, right? Just wait for this foreign being rooting out those Halo once and for all.

The eyes of the soul-changed Consort flashed with wary with the warning, but instantly temp it down. He walks hand in hand with his husband as the latter brought him towards the Crown Prince's circle. .

The soul-changed Consort eyed the imposter, exchanging their greeting as he listen to the updates from the system.

It turns out, the massive confusion of the heart that happens to the Crown Prince and his husband were instantly diminished the moment the ger step inside the hall. Their minds are fully alert, and since their hearts are already attached toward the ger, the stifling tingling dissipates.

However, this cause an internal disruption within the imposter's heart. Being the supposed leading lady, her heart notice the lack of interest from both of the intended suitors that were chosen for her by fate.

The arrival of the soul-changed Consort has ultimately messed up the whole balance. Right at this moment, the universe have all intents to counter the imbalance and restore what have been broken.

"This princess have receive news that the Prince's Consort isn't feeling well. Are you well enough to attend to this banquet? You are welcome to rest inside the manor if you wish."

"Oh, just a bit fatigue. His Highness offspring is particularly active this morning. Nothing but a good nap can't make me feel refresh. After all, as the host for this banquet, it will be quite silly of me if I miss it."

I motion my head towards Xiao Er, having her to leas the servants to start serving. As the host, I lead my husband towards the head of the hall, taking our place side by side, while the Crown Prince take his seat at my right. I can feel the burning stare from that impostor, flaming down my next, as I move away from her with both of her intended suitors.

"Host, there seems to be some changes toward the future. The system can no longer predict what will happen after this. Please be careful, host."

The buŧŧerfly effect has finally begun. As any good feeling towards the main lead dies with the interruption of our soul-changed Consort, the universe is scrambling to protect their chosen ones. The plot line for the future have started to change, however the intended ending will be pretty much the same.

The Consort is determined to protect everything that he holds dear.
