Love Will Lead You Back

The three of them, Alice, Ji An and little Sofia went to Scotland together, of course, Eric followed them without telling them that he would be in their shadows. In the end, he contacted his sister Alice so he can have alone time with Ji An. He asked her to take Sofia for a walk while he speaks with Ji An as he couldn't give her up just like that, he still wanted to fight for her.

Eric rented one of the penthouses in the City of Edinburgh, it has a nice view and it's close to all the amenities they will need during their stay. Edinburgh Castle was a view to see from the penthouse on Ji An's room. The building was high enough so Holyrood Park and Holyrood Palace are also visible from there. He thought the view might change her mind as it is very relaxing.

Alice got ready and prepared Sofia to head out, "Ji! I'll go and take Sofia to the park nearby so she can play. You just follow us when you're done okay?!" Her voice doesn't have a hint of Eric's plan and she just sounded casual like her normal self.

Without looking at Alice she replied, "Okay! I'll just get ready and I'll catch up. See you in a bit!" She was busy looking for something in her bag as she sat on the couch.

Eric came in quietly after Alice left and he stood near the door after he shut it. He watched Ji An quietly and thought of what he would and should say first that is until she noticed him. She felt like someone was gazing at her and her feelings were correct, "What are you doing here?"

As he stood there with his serious face and pleading eyes, "I'm here to beg and compromise, please don't divorce me. I will keep out of your way. I won't bother you, just let me visit Sofia and don't take her away from me. She is my daugh—"

"She is not your daughter! You knew that from the beginning!" She cut him off with a firm voice.

"She's a child Ji An. She needs a father! Please, be reasonable. Don't take that away from her." He is not leaving without a fight and he will not agree to have a divorce. They are his family and he will do what it takes to keep them to his side.

"Okay!" she stood up from the sofa and walked near Eric, "How about this, lets divorce now and in return, I will keep acting like your wife. I will stay at our house and you will get to see Sofia, but that's it. Between us... it's over." her voice was calm but firm.

"Okay." though he doesn't really want to agree, he has to agree, there is a chance that she would change her mind and she might forgive him then everything will be alright. "Give me the papers, take them to my office when we get back." In that way, he will still get to see the two people he loves most.

Ji An couldn't believe that he agreed to her terms and he didn't argue about it, moreover, he was calm and he just said okay. She was stunned for a few seconds until she heard his voice, "So can we start the act now? And give Sofia a good holiday?" He asked as he wasn't sure.

Ji An agreed with him since he already agreed with the divorce she was asking for. They went to see the town, have some photo taken and act like a happy family, Alice was delighted to see them like that but little did she know that all of what she was seeing was just an act and an agreement between the two.

Eric took them shopping, of course, Alice loves to shop and buy clothes. While Ji An only bought stuff for Sofia. After a good walk, they ate in one of the restaurants along Edinburgh Old Town before they then went to the National Museum of Scotland, Sofia really liked it, though she was not one year old yet, she likes to see things, bright colourful stuff and things that are new to her, she likes to find out what it is all about.

They visited the castles in Edinburgh and they were in awe after seeing the one near the city centre and they were fascinated to see the modern castle which looked like a huge mansion just a little further from the town. Though Sofia was mostly sitting on her buggy and didn't have to walk, she felt tired and started crying, they decided to end their sightseeing for the day and just went back to the rented penthouse. After all, they'll be there for a week, there will be plenty of time to tour and see the whole place.

Ji An planned out how they will make it work to convince Alice that they are now alright that they are now okay, she told Eric that they will be in the same room but sleeping in different places. Eric will be sleeping on the couch while Ji An and Sofia will be on the bed and Eric already agreed to it. Everything went well that night.

The next day they went to see Camera Obscura and World of Illusions and The Scotch Whisky Experience, she doesn't drink whisky but it was the experience and learning her reason for going in with Eric. On the third day, they went to Arthurs Seat, they hired a nanny for Sofia because it was quite a hike and she will definitely not like it and would probably end up crying again due to tiredness or boredom. The 4th day, they went so see Calton Hill and the view from there was amazing. They can see almost the whole town of Edinburgh and Ji An liked it very much. The fifth day was spent on shopping to buy souvenirs for their friends and family. Ji An bought a teapot set for Eric's mum. While she got Mr Lewis a pen that Eric pointed to her and on their sixth day they visited places where they can chill out and socialise as people there were very friendly.

On the seventh day, it's time for them to go home, they'll be heading to their penthouse apartment in London first and they will visit Eric's parents the following day. Eric was not looking forward to going back, he was fully aware of what's going to happen once they have gone back to their normal lives, he has to sign the divorce papers he doesn't want to sign it but he will have to do it. That is the only way.

As soon as they arrived in their home, Ji An didn't waste time and asked her solicitor for the divorce papers she had asked for and told her that Eric is now ready to sign the divorce papers. After a week of discussing it with them, Eric signed the papers and he gave half of everything he has to Ji An. Obviously, Ji An refused it because she thinks it's not right for her to accept it but Eric insisted that she must take it for Sofia's sake.
