Love Will Lead You Back

Lori has a big smile on her face as she spoke, "My dear family and friends, as you can see, we are deeply in love with each other. Please trust our decision. We are both happy and agreed to get married after 4 years. Thank you for understanding us and I hope you all enjoy the evening." She couldn't hide her happiness, her face says how happy she was.

However, Li Wei cannot join their happiness, to him, it doesn't feel right. He was actually secretly rooting for Ms Li, after all, he worked hard to take her to his boss plus he gets paid a lot for the job that will include her.

Gu Feng and Gu Meiling were happy with their announcement. They understood what the couple wanted making them two agreed to it. On the other hand, Shen Shui and his wife Shen Xin Yi are not so happy. They want the marriage to happen soon, they want grandchildren. But because they love their daughter so much, they will support her decision, anyway, they will get married eventually then they can have their grandchildren. However, having a grandchild outside marriage they cannot support, Lori shouldn't get pregnant until they are married.

All in all, everything went well. Everyone was happy and satisfied, well, except Li Wei of course.

Cheng Ze took Lori to her home and drove her home personally without Li Wei tagging along. Inside the car, Lori's smile was from ear to ear. "I'm glad you weren't there on our first engagement. Otherwise, I will not experience this very sweet gesture from you." Lori leaned on Cheng Ze's arm and shut her eyes pondering the moment that had happened.

They finally arrived at her house and the car came to a stop, he opened the door of the car for Lori, "You should go in and rest." He then walked her to their front gate, "I have to go home as well, I have to be in the office early."

Lori was not letting him go just yet, "Cheng Ze... I will wait for 4 years patiently. I will trust you, I'll be loyal and faithful to you. I love you so much." She tiptoed and sealed his lips with a kiss. It surprised him and couldn't open his mouth to kiss her back.

Lori was persistent. She bit his lower lip and pull it a bit so she can enter his mouth, once her tongue got in, Cheng Ze woke up from being startled and held Lori in her arm and pushed her gently to the gate making Lori let go of his lips.

"You shouldn't do this Lori." He said calmly.

"Why? Isn't it normal for couples to kiss? It's just a goodbye kiss." She seemed disappointed and pouted her lips.

Cheng Ze smiled at her, "It should be me kissing you not the other way around."

Lori felt special and what he said made her heart flutter, "Okay, I'll remember that." She replied happily with a big smile written on her face.

He pulled Lori close to him and kissed her on the forehead, "Goodnight Lori." Cheng Ze head back to his car without waiting for her reply.

"Goodnight Cheng Ze." She mumbled and went inside their house after his car was no longer in sight.

After the summer holidays, everything was back to normal. This time, Sofia stayed with Ji An so she hired a new nanny to look after Sofia when she's not at home. Eric comes to visit them every weekend and they agreed to be friends for Sofia's sake. Their divorce was pushing through quietly as both parties agreed to it so they should be divorced pretty soon.

Alice doesn't have a clue about the divorce. To her, everything seemed okay and she cannot see any problems between them. It seems like Ji An forgave her brother already, so she was happy and doesn't get herself involved with them anymore.

Sofia calls Eric Daddy and Ji An was not too keen about it but she cannot stop Sofia from calling him like that, after all, she agreed to it so it would be awkward if she suddenly stopped her daughter, plus Alice might get involved and things will go awry.

To Eric, its music to his ears, every time Sofia calls him daddy he smiles brightly and happily. He wants to give her everything she wanted or asks for. He wants to spoil her, Sofia is his only way to Ji An, so he thinks.

Ji An only looked at Eric as a friend from the beginning anyway, he's lucky that she's still nice to him after what he did. She's no longer looking for Sofia's dad, they can live and survive without that person, that's what they've been doing anyway and thanks to him that she has a cute little angel.

Eric still tries to date Ji An, but she will always find a way to refuse him without Alice noticing anything but once in a while, she will go out with Eric just so Alice will not notice what's going on between them. Alice was completely clueless about their divorce.

Sofia was very fond of Eric, to her, Eric is her dad and Eric is very fond of little Sofia too, the feelings between them were mutual and something that Ji An cannot break. Their bonding was like a real father and daughter and Ji An wasn't so happy about it so she asked Eric not to be so close to Sofia because she doesn't want Sofia to longed-for him. It's not good for her if Eric is always by her side.

She had told Eric that eventually, she will tell Sofia the truth and told him that when he visits her, limit their closeness and she explained her reasons.

Being in Uni helped her a lot in their current situation. Being in her 2nd year as a Psychology student, she's busier than the previous year.
