Love Will Lead You Back

Li Wei was still by his side and he now has a girlfriend, so he came to understood Cheng Ze's behaviour before when he was trying to win Ji An. At least, his girlfriend is not complicated and she is actually easy to please.

It's been two years since Cheng Ze started living on his own in his villa. That is the only place he feels closer to Ji An since she stayed there with him before for a few days, the memories she left him are all there, on the other hand, Lori never once slept there, she tried many times before but he never allowed it.

He really had m.a.t.u.r.ed after what had happened between him and Ji An, he doesn't despise his father anymore and he accepted Meiling as his stepmother. Her good intention towards them was finally acknowledged by him and he no longer let the past affect him anymore.

After his father passed Tangxin to him, he is now much richer than Eric. He doesn't show off his wealth but he will give anything Lori wanted, he knows she can afford them but that is the only way he can somehow comfort her since he cannot fully give his heart to her. Even after 4 years, his heart still belongs to Ji An, he is completely aware that he should stop his craziness, but his heart just won't give up.

Once he marries Lori, it will be a very sad marriage life for him. How can he touch Lori? He is no longer that kind of man, all he wanted is Ji An, she is the only want he wants to touch, he's longing for her and no one else.

In the 4 years they are engaged, he never once slept with Lori. He had kissed her, but never a passionate kiss. It will only be a kiss on her forehead or her cheeks, on a few occasions, a little kiss on her lips when he's trying to pacify her. She would always try to seduce him, but she always failed, Cheng Ze was just not into it. He would tell her that he will wait until their wedding night like a gentleman.

To Lori, it seemed like he was truly respecting her and maybe that was his way of showing how much he loves her, so she accepted all his excuses.

Everything was good in those 4 years, Cheng Ze never heard any news about Ji An. Though he misses her and he was dying to know how she is, he will not look for any news about her. He thought it was better that way.

In a months time, the new business partner from Europe is coming to meet Cheng Ze. They are busy preparing for their meeting, after all, he is the person who can help him open doors to the European Business World. It will make things easier and faster for him with that guy on board.

"Li Wei, have you prepared Mr Lewis accommodation? I believe he will be here for a week." He opened the folder from his desk, "Give him the best accommodation you can find. Prepare all the doc.u.ments that we have to show him about the expansion to Europe. I want everything to go smoothly." Cheng Ze asked Li Wei as he started to sign all the paperwork in front of him.

"Boss everything is ready. It has been prepared from the day he became a shareholder." Li Wei replied confidently, he then remembered something and asked Cheng Ze, "Boss, his name is familiar. I think I have heard his name before. I just can't remember where and when." his face showed a little confusion but he shrugged it off within seconds of informing Cheng Ze.

"Hmm..." his eyes was focused on the doc.u.ments he was signing, "What is the whole point of telling me this if you can't remember it? You probably heard his name on the news, after all, he is a good businessman, maybe that's how his name is familiar to you."

Li Wei went closer to him and place his left hand in his chin and uttered, "Eric Lewis... Lewis... Eric... His name is really familiar. Don't you think so?" he squinted his eyes as he looked at him.

"No. Not really." There was no hint of interests in his voice, "Anyway, you should go and do your work. Men shouldn't gossip! It's unhealthy!"

Li Wei was still mumbling, he kept repeating his name trying to juggle his memory. He really heard that name before it's just he can't remember exactly when and where. After his long thinking, he went back to work, "Anyway, he'll be here very soon. I'll get to see him personally."

When Eric arrived in Beijing, Li Wei personally picked him up from the airport. Eric was alone and the first one to fly to Beijing, Ji An and Sofia will be arriving the following day. 

Inside the car, Li Wei kept glancing at Eric from the rearview mirror, 'He really looks familiar. I've seen him before. I'm sure I have seen that face, really.' he was itching to know more and asked politely, "Sir, is this your first time here in Beijing?" Since he was good with his English, he was very confident to start a conversation with him.

"Hmm?" he looked outside the window, "Yeah, my wife is Chinese, but I haven't been here. She will come tomorrow though." Eric looked at Li Wei's direction, "Will it be okay if you pick her up?

"Oh! Do you speak Chinese?" Li Wei was trying to get some private information from him but to no avail.

"No. I only know " ni hao 1 " that's it!" he laughed, "My wife didn't teach me, but I'm glad you speak good English. Does Mr Gu speaks English too or you translate for him?" hello
