Love Will Lead You Back

Ji An's brows furrowed and was unsure what to say, but she was ready to lash out on him. Ignoring what he just said, she asked him, "Did you... took advantage of me?"

"I wouldn't say I took advantage of you. You kissed me first. What am I supposed to do? I'm just a man who is crazily in love with you. You expect me to turn you down?" Trying to reason with her.

"I... kissed you?" she said sarcastically and pushed him away from her. Her face was unreadable and she did it on purpose.

"You actually did! I didn't plan to sleep with you that night. I just wanted to see you. But you made the first move. Am I supposed to refuse? Last night... " Smiling at her happily, his eyes was telling her how much he loves her.

Totally ignoring his smile in his handsome face, she started to ask questions after questions, "Hah! You didn't have a plan? You drugged me!? Why? Why is there a need for that? So you can easily take what you want from me? Then you ran away like a coward, while I'm still asleep? You didn't even show your face and admit what you've done to me! Are you even a real man, Gu Cheng Ze." She went furious as she  remembered what happened years ago after that night. The way she talked to him, she just wanted to slap him and hit him so bad. It was just an outburst as she remembered the past that put her through a lot of unnecessary situation, but she won't really slap him, as she loves him too much and getting mad at him will go nowhere. But she can pretend to be really unhappy and give him a little hard time as she finds it funny that he was explaining his wits out.

She was truly happy that it turned out to be like this. Of course, she was still worried about what Cheng Ze said about not wanting a woman that Eric had touched. She was yet to ask him about it.

At that moment, she just wanted to tease him. To her, at that moment, the most important thing was finding out that it was the man she truly loves who slept with her that night and Sofia's real father. Even though it's not the ideal circ.u.mstance, it is better than having a random person as Sofia's dad.

"I swear to god, it wasn't my plan to take advantage of you. But when you kissed me, I lost all the logic in my head. I'm sorry that I didn't man up and I let you down. It is all my fault. But I'm here now, let me take the responsibility as her father and as your husband." He went to where his clothes were and took a small box. He went to face Ji An again and knelt down, "Li Ji An, will you marry me, my love?" He showed her the two rings he bought from long ago. It was the one from when Ji An was there six years ago.

Ji An wasn't ready for his proposal, it was too sudden but she was happy about it. Though she was feeling a little mad at him, she felt happy deep inside. 'He is my daughter's real father,' she kept replaying it in her head. "This...? When did you prepare for this?" She pointed at the ring.

"I know its not a big ring or the right ring for proposing, but now I've been caught, I have to use this one for now, I'm not gonna let you go." He was still n.a.k.e.d and on his knees, "I got it a long time ago, remember when we went to the jewellery shop? I was having them engrave, that's why it took so long. I was going to give it to you then, but I got caught up in an event. Came home drunk, did wrong to you causing you to leave me. I didn't have a chance to give it to you." He just summed up what happened long ago to remind her.

Ji An took one of the rings out. It is indeed engraved. It has "I'll love you, always GCZ" written on the small ring. She put it in her ring finger and it fitted her perfectly.

Cheng Ze's eyes lit up the moment she wore it, "Does that mean yes? Are you really accepting me?" His voice was excited and  a little nervous.

Without any emotion in her voice, she replied, "I'm just trying it." She admired it from her ring finger happily but not smiling or showing it, deep in her heart she felt happy. It doesn't matter even if it's a plastic ring, as long as it's from him, she will accept it with all her heart, that is how much she loves him. But of course, she will not give him what he wanted just yet, she doesn't want to look easy on him and thought, he must sweat for it, "I don't like it, it's too.... cheap?" She was just trying to make him worry to see his reaction. A little payback won't hurt him compared to what he put her through.

"Do you want me to change it? Should I get you a big one? Let me prepare for another proposal." He said one after the other worriedly. His heart was beating like crazy due to excitement and nervousness.

Ji An smiled and thought, 'He truly loves me.' But she tried to hide her smile and put on an unhappy face, "I'm not done questioning you, I have so many questions to ask." Her eyes squinted narrow at him.

He smiled at her, "Of course. Ask me anything, I will answer you truthfully" he replied eagerly.

"First, put your clothes on. Then talk to your parents, tell them to leave my house. I won't talk to them until I'm done talking with you." She exclaimed like she was the one in charge.
