Love Will Lead You Back

"How did you know it's me?" Cheng Ze was surprised, he hasn't said a single word and for sure Li Wei didn't check who called him.

"No one in their right mind will call me at this hour except you!" He yawned and continued, "You don't seem to have a sense of time and you don't care if you are waking people up." With his eyes closed, he asked, "So what is it this time huh'? What is it about? It must be something really urgent. Let me guess... Your woman left you again because you're being an asshole to her again. Or maybe she—"

Not letting him finish what he has to say, he said, "I want to propose to her! She accepted me already, I just want to make it grand for her. I want to get her the best ring. Then the wedding will soon follow." His voice was serious as he delivered his urgent news. "So you better wake up now, come over and help me plan." He said excitedly as his smile surfaced his face.

"I must be dreaming! There is no way... she accepted you....." Li Wei's eyes opened wide, "Did you just say she has accepted you?" He asked for confirmation.

Cheng Ze was smiling on the other end of the line, "So who is the asshole now, huh'? She said it herself. She wants to get married later on today." He was so happy and Li Wei can sense it from his bragging voice.

Li Wei shoots up to life and became excited as well, "Okay, we cannot do this in her home. Go back to your villa. We will plan it there so she will not find out about this." Li Wei's voice sounded excited too. Finally, his best friend will marry the woman he always has in his heart.

"Okay. See you there later." He hung up and went back to bed next to Ji An's side.

Around 6:30 in the morning, Ji An woke up and she got herself ready with her morning routine. She woke Sofia up and prepared her for school, cooked their breakfast before she woke Cheng Ze up.

He woke up and got himself ready like he didn't lack sleep and they all had their breakfast together like one small happy and complete family. Sofia liked it so much that she asked her dad to take a family picture in which Cheng Ze obliged happily and made it his screensaver immediately.

"I will drive both of you from now on." He smiled at the pair, "Sofia first and then you, my beloved wife." While he glanced at her before drinking his coffee.

"Wow..." Sofia's eyes widened, "Daddy are you really going to be my daddy now?" She said excitedly with a big smile on her face.

"Sofia, sweetheart, I have something to tell you." Ji An decided to tell her the truth, after all, she deserves to know. Besides, she is very fond of him, knowing it will be a good thing for her, "You see, daddy Cheng Ze is..." she looked at Cheng Ze and continued, "He is your real daddy."

Her mouth went agape for a moment before she reacted, "Really? You are not lying? He really is my daddy?" Her eyes were staring at her mum.

Cheng Ze spoke softly, "Yes! I am really your daddy. Is that okay?"

"Daddy!" And she lunge and hugged him tightly. "How come mummy said not to call you daddy before?"

Ji An and Cheng Ze looked at each other. But Ji An decided to answer her daughter, "Is that important? I think what's important right now is that we now know he is your daddy, right?" She cannot really tell her daughter the whole thing and expect her to understand it all at her age.

"Yay, I now have a real daddy. So mummy, daddy and Sofia, but when can I have a baby brother or sister?" She asked casually putting up a cheerful face.

Ji An nearly choked with the water she was drinking, Cheng Ze smiled at his daughter, "We are working on it, baby." Cheng Ze replied.

Ji An's face blushed, "Let's go, we will be late if we stay here and chat." Ji An tried to change the subject as her face went red and thought that the cheekiness probably runs in the family.

They all got in the car and he dropped Sofia first to her school. Next destination was Ji An's clinic. Before letting her get off the car, he held her hand and gave her a sweet short kiss, "I'll pick Sofia first and then we will pick you up, okay?"

She nodded in agreement and replied with a smile, "Okay, I'm going now."

After sending off his two ladies, he went straight to his villa. Li Wei was already waiting for him inside while drinking his coffee from Starbucks.

As soon as Cheng Ze entered his house, Li Wei asked, "So how did it happen, huh'?"

"Let's plan my proposal for her. I'll tell you the story later." He went to the kitchen to brew coffee for himself but saw the other coffee that Li Wei brought. "You are the best Li Wei!" 

"Where do you want this to happen?" Li Wei asked seriously while he followed Cheng Ze and smiled at the last sentence Cheng Ze said, "Of course. Thanks would have been enough." He chuckled.

He asked Li Wei for any ideas and told him what he has in mind, "I originally wanted to propose to her while going for a picnic. That was when we don't have Sofia. Now, I want Sofia to be involved. She is part of us, therefore, she must play her part." Cheng Ze explained.

"Let's do that then. Sounds good! I will prepare for the picnic and I will choose the place." Li Wei replied enthusiastically.

"You have to be there too! You know, to take videos and photos discreetly." He grinned at Li Wei, "You must capture all of it. Prepare a light snack for our picnic. Don't forget the wine. Get us the best wine! What else?" He was a bit panicky and excited at the same time and of course, happy.

"Calm down Cheng Ze, I will deal with it. Alright!" He assured him as he patted his shoulder.

"Don't tell anyone! I don't want anyone messing this up. Oh, the ring! We have to get that! I have to propose this week. Can we do it?" He looked at Li Wei.
