Love Will Lead You Back

After his grand proposal, he started to plan their wedding in his head. He was way more excited than Ji An.

He called his father to let him know he had proposed. Madam Gu then called Ji An to confirm it. She even asked her to do a video call and show her the ring. Only after seeing it with her eyes, Madam Gu started to cry. "Oh my, sweetheart... I'm so happy for you." Her tears were flowing as she smiled. Father Gu comforted her and hugged her. "Gu Feng, everything is worth it! They are now together." She continued to sob as father Gu ended the call.

Though Cheng Ze goes to the office, his mind was filled with wedding ideas. Li Wei caught him smiling on his own so many times, he lost count. His boss is so in love.

After being in Beijing for a month, Eric went back to London to sort out everything about his business. His parents had asked him about Sofia as they miss their granddaughter. They also asked him about Ji An. He just made an excuse as to why both of them didn't come home with him. He also told them that he will be going to Beijing as soon as possible to be with them.

Two months after Cheng Ze's proposal, Ji An, Sofia and Cheng Ze were having breakfast together as usual. Sunday usually is their day to spend quality time with each other. It is their family day. As they were discussing the wedding, Ji An suddenly felt sick and rushed to the bathroom near the kitchen. Cheng Ze followed her quickly, however, Ji An locked the door. It made Cheng Ze really worried and he kept knocking on the door and calling her name.

"I'm okay Cheng Ze! Stay with Sofia. I'll come out in a bit." She answered him as he doesn't stop knocking on the door.

"I'll wait here. Are you sure you are okay? You have been unwell recently, do you think I didn't notice? You were feeling tired lately and getting sick like this for no reason. Should we go see the doctor or I'll call the doctor to come over?" He was worried about Ji An and his concern for her are obvious.

"I'm okay. Wait for me at the dining table. This won't take long." She took the pregnancy kit she's been hiding in one of the shelves in that bathroom.

"I still think we should go to the doctor and get you checked." He said before leaving her alone.

She's suspecting that she is pregnant but without doing the test, she won't dare to say that she is.

She did the test and waited for the lines to appear. After a minute there were two lines indicating that she is indeed pregnant.

"Oh my god!" She uttered first. "I-I-I'm p-pregnant." Things start to manifest in her mind. 'We have to get married soon before my belly becomes so big, I won't fit in my wedding dress if we drag the planning too long. How should I tell him?' She seemed happy and worried at the same time.

After five minutes, she gathered herself and her thoughts before she came out of the bathroom. Cheng Ze was there outside the door walking back and forth.

He stopped in front of Ji An and asked her, "What is wrong? Are you... sick somewhere?" He asked gently and his face showed wariness.

Ji An looked at his eyes. She's hiding the pregnancy test in her hands behind her back. "Cheng Ze... I...m preg...nant." it nearly came out like a whisper. She then showed the test to him.

Cheng Ze's eyes open wide. "What did you just say? Did I heard it wrong?" His voice was a bit shaky but excited. He then looked at her hand and took the test from Ji An's hand slowly and gently.

"You're going to be a daddy again with baby number two!" She smiled while holding her two fingers up and touching her belly with the other hand.

Cheng Ze hugged her tightly, but he released her quickly as he doesn't want to squeeze her belly, he was worried that he might crush their little baby inside her.

"Sofia is going to be a big sister?" He kissed her belly. "We should tell Sofia about this. We have to be careful." His face suddenly turned worried. "Anything you want? Dislikes? Food? Tell me! Whatever it is, I'll do it and get it for you, no mountain can stop me from getting what you d.e.s.i.r.e."

 "Cheng Ze, my love, calm down. I feel good. You're with me! I know I'm in good hands." She kissed him with her lips curved into a smile. "Let's go and tell Sofia. Then we have to call mother and father."

"Yes, we have to tell them the good news. They will be happy once they find out!" He smiled excitedly and full of enthusiasm. 

"Cheng Ze... we have to rush our wedding! I don't want to walk down the aisle with a big bump." She expressed concernedly and seriously. 

Cheng Ze laughed, "Even if you are massive and big, I will still marry you. You are carrying my second child. It doesn't matter if you have a big bump. To me, you are perfect, with or without a baby bump."

"But I don't want to! I'm not okay with it! Let's do the wedding next month!" She necessitated with all seriousness because she thought Cheng Ze didn't take her seriously.

"Okay! Whatever you say, I'll obey!" He touched her face and c.a.r.e.s.sed it lovingly.

"Sofia," he called his daughter, "I have good news for you!"

"What is it, daddy? Are we going to the amus.e.m.e.nt park later?" She asked excitedly with a big bright smile on her face.

"It's better than that!" He held her and carried her in his arm. "Soon I will be carrying a small baby. You are going to be a big sister!" He excitedly told her.

Sofia burst into tears and she started to cry really loud.

"What is wrong Sofia?" Ji An asked full of interest.

"I'm no longer daddy's baby girl. I no longer want a sibling. I saw my classmate with her mummy and daddy and baby brother. They hugged the small baby more. All parents are like that!" She kept on crying.

"Hey, you are still my baby girl. And you are nearly six you should behave like a big sister. I will love you just the same. Nothing will change. I will still take you to the places you want to go." He explained.

Ji An was trying to hold her laughter. Her daughter is so like her.

"You promise?" She sobbed.

"I promise!" He replied.

They hugged each other and he calmed her down. "Which do you prefer? A baby sister or a baby brother?"

"A sister, so I will have someone to play with me." She replied with a smile completely forgetting about her loud cry a while ago.

Cheng Ze was a bit disappointed as he wants a baby boy. But anyway, as long as it's healthy he is okay with it.
