"Thank you for that. There was a reason why no one knew the truth!" I said storming away as the crowd erupted into chaos, "I'm late to class."

I heard him chuckle as I left. It only made me even angrier. Why did he have to say that at school of all places? I did know what I was and what I could do. Maybe he was talking to himself?

After the whole show the entire school got this morning, everyone whispered and stared my way but no one dared to talk to me. Being the daughter of the Councilmen who runs the council was bad enough. Now everyone knows that I'm the girl that the legend is about. Once every 500 years a boltori is born. I was the unlucky lucky one. Every boltori is said to have done great things. I so far have done nothing. The past two have married into royalty here and the ones before all conquered other worlds. What did he mean by meeting us tomorrow?

Bzzzzz. I pulled out my phone to see that I had a text from my brother.

T ¤ Hey Aryan. Mom told me to tell you to come straight home today.

A ¤ Why?

T ¤ I don't know. They won't even tell me who it is that we are having over for dinner.

A ¤ Thomas, you know something don't you?

T ¤ No. Now you better tell me all about your first day of school before dinner. Oh bring your friend too I heard she is dressing all pink and innocent now lmao

A ¤ Tommy you better not be thinking about making fun of her. Remember I am the boltori and I will kick your a.s.s.

T ¤ I promise I won't. Mom would kill me as well. You know that she is part of the family. Besides while you were gone, someone had to keep her company that was until she got that new boyfriend of hers. Any way, please don't be late or else mom will have my a.s.s.

A ¤ Umhm. You are lucky that you lie so well. I will see you after school.

With that, the conversation ended. By then, it was time for lunch. Kacy met me in the cafeteria. When I entered everyone started whispering. I went over to my usual table just as Kacy started to question me about this morning. After I had enough of Kacy's questions, I got up and ran to my car.

I drove to my favorite spot in the whole world, Curston Castle. It was an abandoned castle that was spelled to hide it from the world. Everything inside has not moved since the spell was cast around 200 years ago. You can touch everything but you cannot pick it up or move it. Believe me, I tried. I was drawn here 2 years ago. It over looks the surrounding towns and mountains. It was placed on the edge of a cliff right next to Wildabre Falls. I love exploring the castle. My current interest was in this wall of windows at the top of a tower. It was massive. It had a big accompanying balcony but no doors to the inside. I couldn't even look inside them.

Without knowing it I spent hours out there. So I begrudgingly got ready to leave. I texted Kacy letting her know about dinner before I headed home.

I decided to visit my former home after I was given Councilmen Michel's address. Curston Castle was preserved by me and the last boltori. Everything has stayed the same as I left it. The boltori, Adda, put a curse on it to hide it from the world after I left. I guess it was a painful reminder of her and I's childhood so she didn't want to see it along with everyone else. She told me about it when she entered the Other Plain when Aryan was born.

You see, boltori don't age once they reach 25. They don't die unless they are killed which is really hard to do since they might as well be invincible. Each boltori have one special ability that none of the others do. Adda can read minds, Emmen doesn't sleep, Authur had an alliance with a dragon, Grace can manipulate metal, Ezera can summon anything that comes to mind, and Marie could create the rarest of rarest gemstones. The only person that I don't know what they can do is Cass. It was rumored that she could freeze time but I've never met her so I don't know.

I was torn out of my thoughts by the sound of a car. I quickly hid myself in the shadows as Aryan came storming inside. Caught off guard as to how she found this place, I followed her. She ran through the castle as if she knew it like the back of her hand. She ran straight to the library and out onto the balcony that stretched over the cliff. Just as she stepped on the ledge, her phone vibrated. She sat down on the ledge to read her texts. After she was done, she stood up and shot up to the highest balcony. I know where she was going and why she had to fly there. My room was specifically spelled to only let me in, along with other rooms in the castle. The wall leading to the balcony had multiple tinted windows. The whole wall was 50 feet high, 30 feet wide, multiple colors, and spelled so that only certain people can open them. On that wall, every window moved. There were no doors per say. Who needs doors when you have 10 feet tall windows each 5 feet wide, not me.

I watched as she curiously explored every window looking for a clue. Once she reached the top window she stopped and then went and sat on the edge of the balcony. She spent only 30 minuets there after studying the windows for two hours. She left after walking back through the castle the way she came.

I quickly sent word to Adda back in the Other Plain demanding she return as soon as possible. As soon as the message was sent, I left for Aryan's house. I was having dinner there after all.
